The Tecdeck olli was just him carrying it
Thats how your supposed to do it
As a fingerboarder for many years i know what im talking about
@@springtrap5658 I’ve been fingerboarding a while myself, while your fingers stay on the board as it goes almost upside down, it does not go completely horazontal
@@springtrap5658 you cant just carry the fingerboard it doesnt make any sense. this toy is made like real life skateboard. You dont carry real one doesnt you?
I always get demotivated when I realize that building *actual* skill with or getting any of the health benefits from these toys takes literal months of consistent daily usage. Just getting the tricks down once looks neat on camera but does nothing when you try again in 2 years time.
100% true that you have to stay consistent and always be looking to improve over time. But going from 0 to being able to do 1 or 2 tricks is massive too
@@TommoCarroll faxx
@@guranshsingh8696 yoooooo nice pfp
@@TommoCarrollyou should learn to yoyo if you like skill toyd but I’m warning you that it is super addicting
@TommoCarroll can you try the finger board trick and make a tutorial and how to do the air trick you did the ollie please I will subscribe and like
Great progress with the butterfly knife! Can't wait to see more!
Thanks a lot you lovely lot! Love your vids :)
@squidindustriesco you should send him a squiddy-al to promote it
@@TommoCarrollkeep flipping! It is CRAZY fun!!!
Hi squid industries can you send me a free trainer :)
@@weston50plays15 bros rlly trying, but i support it
As a pen spinner myself (have been spinning for almost 15 years now) it makes me happy seeing new people discover the fun and benefits of hobbies like these. Also loved that you went a little in depth with the science behind it, made your video sound at least 20% more professional 😉
pls tell me advice for pen spinning! I CANT DO THE EASIEST ONE!!
@@MusicMaster320 what can I tell you besides be patient, slowly gain a sense for how the tricks should feel around your fingers, use a well balanced pen you feel comfortable with, practice whenever you can and don't get frustrated dropping the pen and failing! It took me a whole week to learn my first trick, the Thumbaround, and even then I got it only 8 times out of 10. Do NOT skip the basics, they are essential to almost every more advanced trick or combo. Also try to do some warmups and stretches before if you're feeling too cold or stiff to practice. Lastly, you should be having fun with it and feel accomplished for mastering some moves, so never beat yourself up for failing and maybe try again after some rest.
It's amazing what boredom at school can do lmao, I've been pen spinning for 5 years without knowing there is a whole spinning culture.
what ps style do you do ?
I’m so glad to see more people using begleri! And yea begleri tends to be harder for other people and easier for others, but what matters is practice. :)
So awesome that you got ladders down tho, Have fun slinging, and goodbye! :)
It angers me too see him using a plastic trash fingerboard
TAKE THAT BACK😡
Fingerboards are cool
Oh wait you mean that the fingerboard is tradh not fingerboarding
@@Prisma4865 yea
Because he doesn't know how to fingerboard imagine buying a 100 dollar fingerboard when you don't know how to fingerboard💀
Bro got straight to the part, I love it❤
Yesss!!! Give more long form skill videos Mr Carroll
Ya boyooo
Tommo's enthusiasm is utterly delightful. It's also more infectious than… um, well, take your pick. I actually feel vicarious accomplishment whenever he succeeds. 😀 The month-of-learning-and-self-development was one of the most enjoyable series on CZcams and I hope it never ends. 👍
Great comment to read! Stoked you like it all and I’m glad that my actual joy when I complete the skills comes across, because it’s genuine haha!
@@TommoCarrollyou’ve inspired me to do something more with my life.
Amazing Video! You always inspire me in learning these skills myself. Can you please comment the link to the Balisong that you used in your first Balisong video? (That one out of plastic). Please never stop making these videos.👍🏻
Thanks so much! I don’t have a link but it was a 3D printed one from a popular Etsy store, should be easy to find!
Love the edit in this video!
I've been doing kendama tricks for years but I have to get the other 4 too at some point. I know some basic penspinning tricks but not as much as I know kendama tricks. Also there's a skill toy called diabolo which is pretty cool, you should check it out.
I REALLY want to try the Diablo! It looks like it has a ridiculously high skill ceiling
Your so good! I wish i could do the double charge!
i dont know why its not booming.. like everyone would like this video...
We’ll wait and see 💪
Here before 10M views 😎
@@TommoCarrollcan you maybe make a full video on the butterfly knife and how you learned? I know you’re extremely busy making videos as fast as possible (which is absolutely awesome) but I would like to see something like that. I love your channel and you’ve inspired me to do something with my life. Thank you
Just ignore the typo on the timestamp😅
Love your videos man, keep it up👍🏻
HI YOU ARE SO GOOD AT THIS
Next up, learn the shortstop on the balisong! Great video btw!
love the vid!
You and a couple other channels have inspired me to get my own butterfly knife. Now I have bruised knuckles and a purpose.
Try Rubik's cube
Watching this - me being a lefty - and thinking if... hmmm... nah! It'll be like when I tried knitting. 😂
GG on those, buddy!
Haha the real struggle!
Amazing video Tom, as usual! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers from Brazil!
Cheers Eduardo!
bro picked up the board at the ollie 😑
This guy seems to be more popular with his shorts😂 But the longs are such good quality!
Yep definitely been a shorts creator for the past 6 months….but check back in on Thursday for something new ;)
3:48 he just lifted the fingerboard lmao
In hindsight, yeah that was a terrible ollie
I like how in the intro he put the ladder in pfft tier even though it was the hardest
Hey, been penspinning for a year and gotta hand it to ya, you picked up the double charge faster than me. I make videos on it to document my journey and its going well so far.
I appreciate that! It was really hard and by nooooo means did I master it! It took a long time to nail 3 in a row
in my experience, the hammer thingy ranked "Oh" is harder than the balisong, and the pen spinning is the easiest. never tried the first 2 tho
Him: I MASTERED 5 skill toys
Also him: yay an Ollie
3:41 you were carrying the board 😢
In hindsight, yeah it was an awful attempt - at the time I genuinely thought I nailed it
This guy is the reason i know fingerboard, pen spinning, balisong.
Bro blames everything on his lanky fingers
i think the best part about the balisong part is when he figured out balisong flipping is a lot of wrist
As a balisong flipper, it's nice to see you having fun learning tricks. But you can only get so far with that CCC there since it's not built well for tricks. If you're really wanting to improve at tricks, I highly recommend getting a balisong that is more built for optimal flipping performance. My personal recommendations would be the Nabalis Vulp by Will Hirch, and the LDY Orion V1.5. But if money is no object, I'd say upgrading to a Squid Industries Squid Trainer V4, and or a Krake Raken V3 Trainer would be some of the best standard flippers out their if you're hungry to learn more tricks.
Also, for all who are commenting that balisongs are not toys, you're technically half wrong. Yes, balisongs are originally knives and weapons. But the hobby has slowly shifting to blunt trainers being the norm due to their accessibility, legality, and cheaper cost. That's not to say there aren't live blades flipping around. But that's more for the added tradition of flipping and challenge rather than being used for EDC. Plus, live blade balisongs are illegal in a majority of the world. Nowadays, the hobby has evolved into doing tricks rather than the knives actually being used as knives. Besides, if literal playing cards, pens, and even zippos are considered skill toys, I can't see why a balisong can't be. Unless the Trainer has a bottle opener, there really is no other purpose other than being a non-lethal alternative for practicing, and being a toy overall.
The red ball thing is so sick
Yoyo tricks are just on a different level
Which ones specifically?
Now you have to try pro finger boarding instead of the plastic one, and then try your tricks
the fingerboard one does not really count because he had is fingers under the board so he just carries it on his fingers all the way up
The Devil Sticks would be a cool one to learn, and would look cool as well. Have you ever tried them?
I haven’t! I’ll take a look :)
Try doing a switch nightmare flip into a nose slide then do a reverse tre flip of a rail then u can call fingerboarding a 1 out of 5
As a person that plays the guitar I see using the butterfly knife as a win because I don’t feel pain in my hand anymore 😂
3:12 HIS DAWGSSS ARE CRUSTYYYY!!!
I have a nightmare for you,to Godspeed with the YOU GUESSED IT
THE ALMIGHTY BEGLERI
I've been chronically addicted to penspinning for like 12-ish years, now, and it's just one of my favorite things to do.
Whenever I'm watching a video or movie, I usually have a pen lying around, so I can play around with it, in the meantime. I'm not that amazing, but after some practice, I reached the point where doing the tricks is just muscle memory, and at that point, it's just really relaxing. Still, it's better to do it on a couch or a bed, to limit the directions the pen can fly. As someone who had my maths professor hand me my pen, after it flew away in the lecture hall, let me tell you that there are places where spinning a pen isn't quite ideal. Whoops
you are not meant to put the fingerboard upside down in an ollied 😭
I feel like "Come on!" Is his chatch phrase now
It feels like that’s happening, didn’t realise I said it so much in real life haha
Bro lifted the fingerboard 💀
Tip: try with a Tech Deck or a pro fingerboard
learn the behind the 8 ball for balisong, if its too hard then the y3k
I think if u start using a a butterfly knife maybe use a plastic one if that’s a thing idk cuz even making a mistake using that knife would hurt
seeing someone call balisongs “butterfly knife” both physically and mentally hurts me
Double charge is to easy try combo double charge and thumb around
When can you try real skateboarding but only use the one you had in the short
His reaction at 2:03 made me smile.
You should try a yo-yo god speed
You should try Rubik's cubing I'm pretty good I solve under a minute
you're very underrated ngl
I appreciate that! Hopefully I’ll become rated soon haha
you did fingerboarding dirty, you should try to get good at it. I like kendamas and butterfly knifes also, haven´t tried the others but fingerboarding is the hardest to get good at, in my experience at least
You cheated a bit with the fingerboard by simply lifting it up with your fingers :p
But tbf doing any trick with that kind of board is a pain. Even just using a teck deck board with foam grip could improve your experience and make it more fun if you wanna do more than just baby ollies
Bro as a fellow fingerboard it pained me to see hi. Carry it and use the tiny board that’s probally like 10m instead of like 34mm
not to hate but that balisong trick is easy for beginners too. the thing I see you didn't improve with the wrist movement is avoiding the blade by lowering the whole arm a little and killing it's momentum.
Technically that wasn't really an ollie, more of a fakie ollie, since the board tilted back to your fingers, and you used the fingers to push it up, instead of the momentum, still, respect tho.
As a real fingerboarder I would the Ollie want really an ollie😂
next try to using the karambit please
I love how he puts "toys" in the title and puts a balisong in the video😅
its so funny to me fore no reason that the chapter for begleri is called burglary
That isnt the y2k but instead a zen which is the horizontal version of y2k since y2k is vertical
Is it just me or everyone else? I feel he is like a geographer and a medic
that fingerboard ollie was atrocious you aren't supposed to put it upsidedown
how the hell is a butterfly *knife* a toy 😭
bro that ollie was upside down bruh that aint count
Where did you buy plastic balasong
you should use a plastic butterfly knife it wont be as painful with mistakes
Why isn’t this vid exploding?
do the rubix cube next
Lol i have the same pen spinning pen but the red part is blue
Damn turns out I’ve been pen spinning all these years and I didn’t even know it wow I guess iam good at something after all 😁
3:48 that's not how fingerboarding works... the board have to be on the correct side (griptape on the top) while it's in mid air
where did you buy the butterfly knife?
you should have invested in like a morse butterfly knife (its a trainer btw)
I’ll look into it!
Are there health benefits to butterfly knives?
Ah yes, My favorite toy, The Butterfly Knife
😂
As a finger border, all I can say, is you scooped it up?
Bro called the butterfly knife toy
the tech deck one wasnt a proper ollie
Let's take a moment to talk about his commitment to these videos, My man spent half an hour practicing an ollie
that ollie was not a real ollie becouse his board was upside down
@@user-gg4nx5ob5k Technically it is, because an ollie requires the board to go back and come front, he just had a lot of air time, all beginners do that.
i fingerboard myself you're not supposed to do that. having a lot of airtime doesn't mean putting it upside down. @@kathiravanarul
One of the thoughts are a a wepoin
lmao i have that exact fingervoard as u
GG tomm0
It’s impossible not to smile while watching this! I have a neurological disease that causes my hands to not work very well, but some of these skills remind me a little of exercises I do to try to maintain some semblance of dexterity. Maybe I should get one of those practice pen-spinning things. I was never good at it even when I had full use of my hands, so I suppose it’s time I learned once and for all how to do it.
Really sorry to hear that. But really happy to hear that this little vid brought those thoughts to you! I find the practise pen really fun, even when I’m messing up!
What type of butterfly knife was that
God damn now i want to try them
DO IT! TRY THEM ALL
Where can I buy it
😢
what is the butterfly knife trick called?
im just doing trickshots with my tshirt
Try clackers
Hi ❤❤❤love your videos ❤❤
And I love your comments!
Bro did a cheat Ollie not even a real one
I have the same fingerboard thta is in the first image
Try speed solving a Rubin vube
did noone notice at 6:42 how the like button glowed when he said: "like this video"? Or is it just me??
