What topic should I do a Useless Facts video for next? Let me know đ
Make a facts video about insects!
Useless facts about seals and sealions!
You! lollllllll đ
ROCKETSS
insects are awesome
criminally underrated, love and appreciate the effort you put into these videos!
Cheers! Gonna make sure I go from understated to rated! Road to 100k is here laddddd!
the absolute most underrated content I've seen in a while. the production is so good from the graphics to the sound quality to everything. Im actually so confused. genuinely amazing work and it deserves much more love
I love these types of videos! And next time maybe space facts?
Also, Appreciating the high effort you put into making these videos.
Stoked that you like it! Space Facts - noted!
This was so much fun and so interesting that Iâll even look past the wanton mixing of imperial and metric units
Aw thanks mate! Yeah letâs just pretend I was being inclusive of all measurement cultures and definitely not just an idiot that forgot to turn a bunch into metricâŠ
Really enjoy your videos. Family friendly so I share them with my grandchildren. This one I'll be sharing with a granddaughter who wants to be a marine biologist. How about a video of useless facts where math is used in everyday life. This would be great to answer the age old question, 'Why do I need to learn math for?' that many school children ask.
I'm like half tempted to write all of this out on individual strips of paper which I'd spread throughout uni for World Water Day next month...
Donât be half tempted, be FULL SEND tempted! Do it!
@@TommoCarroll You know what? I just might - I even have a week break between now and then! XD
Absolutely underrated -- thank you for spending the time to make something this well produced.
Just got it in my recommended. After a few minutes, I looked at how many views and said out loud âunderratedâ.
Imagine trying to visit all 25,000 islands in the Pacific - I just ran the maths and if you spent a day with each, it would take almost 69 years to visit them all...
So yeh I agree with Tom's reaction... nice!
I wonder if anyone actually ever has tried that? Might make a sweet video seriesâŠor a really repetitive one
Edit: Iâm tired, NICE
only one small country - finland - has 180 000 islands. and has only 5.5M inhabitants :)
This sounds like the One Piece Saga :)
@@sagara4e Time scale certainly checks out
I love islands, maybe I should make this my life goal
when you get rickrolled for wanting to learn more ;-;
đŹ F
Love your videos! After I watch them once I often listen to them to fall asleep at night
I don't know if this is a compliment or not đ€Ł
đ compliment! You have a relaxing voice
Shark skin is NOT rough like sandpaper. It is smooth to the touch.
Good, if i ever get bit by a shark and defend myself the last thing i want to do is get rough hands
i love videos like this
Great flow with an ocean of facts. Almost at 100k subs, prepare for the next wave. I'll sea you at 200k.
You're the BOAT (Best of all time)
Iâll take being the BOAT! Iâll prove it to ya! Cheers for the support, love this community!
Hit âem with the Rick Roll
Letâs get him to 100k
The journey to 100k starts today!
You are a great video maker sir... much talent. â€
Well you, sir and madam, are perfect comment makers â€ïž
2:50 i'd like to believe that life existed longer than three billion years. maybe THREE BILLIOON or mayhaps THREE BILLIOOON years? :3
Official number sizes: Million, Billion, BILLIOOOOON
Do a video on Forests
I was like, how is it possible to eat 2,000 KG of plankton a day? Then I found out they weigh up to 40 tons and it makes more sense.
Tommo your an interesting character. Yes you seem to know a lot. I'm saving your videos and thank you for sharing them.
The video's a bit late but I bet it's great
Yeah, I'm never on time đ
thank you for 4:02. i needed that.
Girl Weeb, you are MORE than welcome
lol, I didn't check until I read this comment XD
Solid one mate!!
Appreciated âïž
That was an extremely good video with a "saucy' rick roll, nicely done Tom!
tehehe, had to sneak one in there
@@TommoCarroll I sure would!
That fact that we donât know how eels reproduce is myth and untrue but other than that great vid
Loved the Gibraltar from apex cameo
Loving this video, as I am a nerd for trivia, useless or not is how you use it. But at 2:50, is BILLIOON actually bigger than BILLION? :)
Man your channel is so underrated
I appreciate the love! Going to try to make it âratedâ in the next 6 months
4:30 well played sir đ«Ą
Facts about land btw Tom youâre the best
If this makes it into a video Iâm leaving that compliment in
bet you wint pin this
What I have learnt today is that the oceans are just massive museums
Awesome video on the oceans. Pretty good for a human. Now please clean all the trash you put here!
I don't know if this is like an insult at me or at humans, but I'll allow it...
@@TommoCarroll Most humans don't mean to make the ocean dirty. I'm just remarking on the fact that it's funny hearing humans talk about the ocean when it's a place they've only visited.
Ah, another fan of Austin McConnell, I see. This is some interesting information!
Make sure you check back on this channel in a few weeks timeâŠyou might get a nice surprise guest appearâŠ.
@@TommoCarroll thomas, who?!?!?
@@TommoCarroll woww
@@TommoCarroll Tom Carroll X Austin McConnell?
It always blew my mind how (relatively) the microscopic universe is (let's just say) much larger than the known macroscopic universe. However human kind has always seemed more curious about stars than atoms. Then we get into the physics of it and realize that while our goals get larger our technology gets smaller... I feel there is a paradox here somewhere and if it is know please tell me... likewise, if it is known to be not known let me know and let's split some royalties.
P.S. if this makes no sense sorry, I only barely understand what I just wrote myself...
3:24 No. Sharks are smooth.
The most amazing thing I have ever seen is while I was on a huge cruise ship and a blue whale was under the ship and it was way larger than the ship. We were on one of the largest ships in the world but it dwarfed our ship.
the mediterranean sea DID NOT use to be dry. it was always a sea but VERY BRIEFLY dried up in between.
I mean technically.
Hey, we came here before first thousand, and there is already almost 100 thousand subscribers! Nicely done!
Hero! Love to see it. What was your favourite fact?
@@TommoCarroll tasting crab legs, that's awesome and unexpected.
Excellent, but for consistency next time just use one system: or metric or imperial.
4:01 what an interesting scientific message in a bottle
9:57 There are more planes at the bottom of the ocean than there are boats in the sky. đ
Sorry, but Thalassophobia is a fear of deep ocean / sea (where the color is solid dark blue) which can terrified because we don't know what's inside. It's not a fear of ocean. Btw, I'm having one and still, I'm a fisherman and a swimmer.
There are a hundred% more plane wrecks in the ocean then there are submarine crashes in the sky
i like how you reply to almost every comment
Is this a reference to "Can I quiz you on ocean facts?"
Sharks are smooth actually
This guy is so underrated
Means a lot! Give it 10 more videos and letâs see if I can get rated instead of underrated
Wow you replied?!! You will definitely be more than rated by the time of 10 more vids !! Good luck đ
Nice Vid!
Thanks :) nice comment!
"Sperm whales have the biggest noses-" *disappointed noise*
And I have now learned what my fear of oceans is called. Well it's actually fear of any deep body of water, so might only be partially correct as ONE of my fears? Well, thanks anyways!
Cool video, pick a unit of measurement and stuck to it.
The video is great, the audio, video, the content, everything's awesome... By the way the thumbnail, you better change the thumbnail & see the magic happen..
Cheers! And yeah these older videos need a revamp on their thumbnails from these cringy ones đ
@@TommoCarroll another suggestion I'd give you is, I've seen multiple videos of yours, you're really good at the whole content creation process, the audio, video, post processing, the editing is top notch as well, one thing works wonders in your videos than anything else is how you bring other people into the scene like in your other facts videos, it really gives video a life and isn't like any other boring facts videos... Keep up the great work buddy! I bet you'll reach a million within 3Qs of this year.. Also you're humble enough to read & reply so, you got a loyal subscriber.. Cheers!
@@tahaibrahim8509 I appreciate the detailed feedback! Iâll be making the massive collaboration Usless Facts videos an annual thing for December moving forward, so Iâll take your ideas on board! Haha I doubt 1 million is within reach this year, this year is for regaining momentum and consistency! But I appreciate the support. And of course, I love chatting to everyone! If youâve got discord, come join us this year!
@@TommoCarroll 1M isn't big of a deal, especially for a creator like you who knows what to do & how to do, James Jani hit 1M by making just 7 videos, reason being, he treated his videos more like a product than just a video, I find the same thing in your videos too... Best of luck & sure I'll join the server... Peace! âïž
I wonder what Hackett's littering fines would come to.
What does it mean that Seahorses have a 90% killing rate?
Also, Square starfish???
When they attack, they attack GOODâŠ.90% of the time
And yep, the type of starfish with this mutation isnât very starry to start with but itâs still fascinating!
Now I see where Nemo got his name from
APEX LEGENDS REFRENCE IN TOMS VID
Apex is my addiction. But Iâm no Gibby main, Bangalore all the way đš
@@TommoCarroll im rev
Imagine thinking you are going to be a star, and then you end up just a square... Talk about disappointment.
there are two kinds of countries those that use the metric system and those that went to the moon
life existed on land just as long as in the ocean. (bacterias etc)
or did you mean plant life? animal life?
Ok now do 10 liquid minutes.
Great video as usual, but how can the bow head whale be the longest living mammal at usually 200 years when you also said the Greenland whale can live up to 400 years?
Edit: nvm he said Greenland Sharks, so theyâre not a mammal. All good! Times are 8:04 and 10:04 btw for those two facts.
flow rate is not about speed. it's volume.
I wonder how many islands will be in the Pacific in 80 years.
It depends...are they making baby islands together?
@@TommoCarroll I'm going in the other direction: Antarctica calving little glaciers... visions of Waterworld swimming in my head.
I knew all of this... except for the human stuff.
More like â10 liquid minuetsâ
Love it! Please also use metric system if you can
2:49 did you spell billion with 2 o ????? LOL :D
Nope! 3! Boujie Billion
More trash than fish in 28 years, Iâm not gonna let that happen.
5:45
Not any more. Humans have male pregnancies too.
2:28
...Does that say "Three Billioon"?
Nope! Itâs the more saucy variety: billiooon
i can not believe i got rick rolled in 2022
Gibby?!
Lobsters pee out of their eyes?? Don't tell jordan peterson! He'll start crying about how women don't pee out of their eyes like they should đ€
I believe there r more stars
It makes me so sad to see this only having 5k views and me NOT FINDING IT until i manually went through your channel again
its like the algorithm hates you or something smh your content has quality and you have vids with multiple millions of views but it just wont put new uploads in my recommended ever
đ
Hey, that's a fush!
about oxygen, did you mean WAS produced or IS produced?
i mean ALL oxygen in the air came from photosynthesis in the beginning.
if you meant how it is produced today, why not say "is produced"
Why are you not in million subs?
Uploading once every 5 months might do that to ya đ
Very disappointing that you didnât take your international audience in consideration by providing metric units too.

40 000 miles would be 1,5 x around the world. did you mean 14000?
just googled it. it's 10 000 miles.
which is less than twice than andes
2:25 you missed one of the coolest things about point nemo! I'm pretty sure that the closest humans are on the ISS when it passes overhead.
Ah nevermind you said it later- just didn't expect it to be separate

nice useless ocean facts.
Please take the next year off and develop some more interesting topics. Production values are fine. Content with no references prompts strong skepticism and antipathy.
Why is your salt in a plastic container? Not good.
Decided I should mark down what I already knew as a biology nerd, 16! Not bad
