You know the Leafs/Bruins rivalry is intense if Steve is swearing uncensored in an LFR.
Man I thought the same thing I don’t know if that was a mistake or not! The podcast isn’t censored at all because that’s the brand but LFR has always kinda been family friendly. It’s fine by me but I’m sure there’s younger kids that watch this or parents with their kids.

Speaking as a bruins fan, a lot of us are also red sox fans and we have ptsd from that, we always worry our team will blow it. Not so much me (I mean I worry a little bit, but that's it lol) but it's definitely a Boston sports fan affliction. Until 2001 we weren't anywhere close to title town. Btw I think it's kind of a badge of honor to have Marchand come at you lol, it's kinda cool, at least in my opinion. One of hockey's biggest instigators taking time out to instigate you, you're doing good work Steve.

I just sprained my neck to look at my phone in shock, after hearing Steve swear in an LFR. I’m basically wrapped up like Tua was at this point. This is the third such CZcams related injury. The first two involved Paige Spiranac videos, and my wife’s intervention. Smh…

That whole year was crazy. They weren't even going to make the playoffs in December because they played like garbage...then they bench Thomas for Rask and sign Miro The Hero. Next thing you know they go on a run. Then Seidenberg, Sturm and Krejci all get hurt and they blow the lead to Philly.
@@KHayes666 krejci breaking his wrist was the end. Went 0 and 4 after that injury. And blowing a 3 goal lead in game 7, that hurt. Thank god we won the cup the next year or i still wouldnt be over that.
@BDC Matt Normally I don't start thinking of the next round until it's over, even if it's a 3-1, 3-2 or even a Game 7....but after the Bruins still won after Krejci got hurt, I started thinking of the Conference Finals and how the hell were they going to beat Washington or Montreal without Krejci. Maybe some context for why Marchand tweeted what he did to Craig. Remember the Artemi panarin glove throwing incident where people accused marchand of saying messed up stuff about panarin? Maybe he’s just sick of NHL twitter trying to dissect everything said between players on the ice(and getting it wrong) and that one Craig tweet was just the one that he happened to stumble across. Like he said, it just popped into his mind so he tweeted it.

That bruins cup in 2011 was special. They came back from 0-2 series holes to win in 7 games in the quarters, conference finals and cup final.

Ur so right about Bunting. I always say yelling at the refs for missing a call is like yelling at the cops for pulling u over. If ur chirping the cop about getting all C's in highschool, he's not gonna do u any favours. No different with the refs. They miss shit, they make mistakes, but abuse them shift after shift and those mistakes and missed calls aren't going to be accidental anymore

Boston is committed to playing hockey with attention to detail on both sides of the puck and that goes all the way through the roster lines 1-4. Their attention to detail is league-best, active sticks, taking away time and space from the opposition and strong defense/goaltending make them a favorite to win it all.

I like Rielly but if the best move is upgrading the right side and pushing Rielly to the 2nd pair what does that solve? How many times has the Stanley Cup winning team not had a legitimate elite number 1 defenceman?
Also the Bruins brand is finishing their checks, digging in the corners, making your night worse, getting gritty, getting dirty. Why can't this be the Leafs brand? For a significant portion of my life the Leafs were the lunchpail team. Wendel Clark is the most important player in Leafs history post-'67, and he made his career on "Bruins style hockey".
Bruins fan here. I hope we get this series in the playoffs (even though it's a crime it will only be in the 2nd round) because I genuinely think that Boston and Toronto are the 2 best teams in the league this year.
Even though Marchand’s actual reasoning is something along the lines of “reporters need to stop being so nosy about what’s said between players” (probably since he says a ton of crap himself and doesn’t want it blown all out of proportion), I still think he’s a bit out of order getting involved in all these shenanigans. I honestly love that Marchand is one of the best pests in hockey, I would love to have that on the Leafs Bunting is getting there, but you need a lot of Buntings.
He is one of the best pests absolutely but what differs him from Bunting, is he can put up goals and points, a lot actually where Bunting as much as love him, is really no where near Marchand. I soooo wish he was lol and that’s not taking anything away from Bunting at all, he just isn’t and won’t be a Marchand.

Like they say in the World Cup group stages, the Leafs are unfortunately in the group of DEATH. Like Steve points out regularly, by record, three of the top six teams in a 32 team league play in the Atlantic Division. We just have to be better to win the Cup. I hope that Auston comes back 100% and we just leave it all out there on the ice and by the end of June we have 16 wins in the playoffs

Was a tough loss. If the leafs beat the bruins they go into the break loosing 4 straight ( after only having 7 loses all year) maybe could have planted a seed of doubt in thier team
One thing not being talked about where credit is due. People are not realizing how awesome Jim Montgomery is as a coach. When the worst thing to happen for Boston this year is 3 losses in a row. That is a dang good coach.
Glad Steve called out Bunting in this one. I've loved Bunting's game going back to his brief stint in Arizona but he really antagonizes officials for zero benefit. Toronto coaching needs to pull him aside (probably already tried) and tell Bunting he needs to lay of the officials
