Hey Dezz, really enjoyed this reaction. This is my old Regiment!
A Fire Mission is calling in Artillery. Close Air Support (CAS) is whatever allied fast-jet aviation is currently 'on station'. 'UGLY' callsigns (C/S) are Apaches. We used SA80 rifles (aka L85A2 - now A3). The eejit standing up was ANA, usually off their tits on drugs lol.
Hahah I saw ur comment before I saw the muppet one hand firing standing up was waiting for it
Found that working with the Iraqis
A Fire mission is artillery, All support missions were joint ops so could be anyone tasked for close air support from ISAF
The Royal Irish Regiment is a Regiment in the British Army. Most the Solider you see here are using SA80 Assault Rifle.
There anther a few good videos of Ross in Afghanistan which I think you would like by the way.

Fire missions are artillery or mortar and you're just calling them in. Whichever coalition force had the assets avaliable at the time was the one that conducted it.
Irish reg as well as all British forces at the time used the L85A2 (SA80) as their main personal weapon.
Spent many years in Afghan in with the Royal Marines but managed to dodge Ross's cameras 🤣
That Afghan standing up hahah
Mon the Irish 💪🏻 💕
Dezz, I think that soldier standing up firing was an Afghan working with them. Perhaps the officer in charge had got fed up with telling him to keep him head down!
No he is a Afghan Gurkha ware British Uniforms
What? Gurkhas are from Nepal, and in any case, they don't go around in 'ones' - there are regiments of Gurkhas in the British and Indian Armies.
@@tacfoley4443 Yes I am aware of that
@@tacfoley4443 not sure I know what you are taking about
He is NOT a Gurkha, He is an embedded ANA soldier.
@@tacfoley4443 that what I sand ?
Ross kemp isn't a reporter he's actually an actor who has done a series of documentaries on war zones and the like one such series dealt with gangs of the world and was given interviews with some very dangerous people including the US should definitely look at a few he's got more guts than I do xx
Hi Dezz, another awesome video .
Glad you enjoyed it
an Afghanistan most of the air support came from Americans. Britain did have jets & apaches there but America basically had jets in the air 24/7
He is a Afghan' soldier, usualy doped up
We have the same.as the. Americans missiles and bombs
Yes, I was a 13F Forward Observer (FiSTER) for over 20 years and part of that as a JTAC it was a great job if you know what you're doing and have the balls to make it happen

HOW MANY OF MY SUBS ARE IRISH? ☘🇮🇪
Definitely an afghan soldier standing up like Rambo. Less battle hardened, more high off the opium pipe.
Also they believe that if they die it is meant to be, they dont wear armor or anything. Wouldn't be efficient though😂
Northern irish
Nope, ANY Irish, and a lot of non-Irish, too.
My dad spent 22 years in 1 Royal Irish from 1990-2012 and is Kilkenny born and bred. His two best friends from the regt is a working class brummie and a posh Australian, it's a massive mix. When the UDR came in there was issues with the religion but they went away quickly. A few NCOs weren't happy about him having a tricolour in his room but were reprimanded by the CO. By the end of his time and nowadays the tension is no longer there luckily enough.
At that time SA80 mk 2 but have been upgraded recently to mk 3 much much better.
Cool
No he didn't say us bomb was dropd
royal airforce
All of the air support is british bro ✌️
What a stupid question to ask. No the British Army rely on the Russians for air support. 🙄🤦♀️
That was an F-15, so it would be American, what do you think it was?
@@Thebestofyoutubefood it was a tornado bud with its wings back
In fairness I've watched it back and you are right..😅
