None of the above worked

Just installed a brand new one (hard-wired with integral lithium ion), and it immediately announced I should replace it. It's getting 120V to the harness, so no idea what the issue is. If there's something wonky with the wiring in the circuit (e.g., signal wire), you'd think it would give a different alert and that it might affect other detectors on the circuit. ???

Has anyone else had terrible luck with the white tapcon screws? It might be user error, but the head constantly pops off on me when trying to fasten them in. Never happens with any of the blue ones.

have you ever seen lamps mounted to a 3 inch post without screws? I have a stone wall that has several of these.

The upper connection of the long vertical stretch of downspout is on the inside of the elbow. Shouldn’t it be on the outside?

Good things first. Silkaflex is a great product, don’t use on any slopes. I have not used the Tremco, nice to know it will do a slight slope. Bad part. The plastic bottle I have tried to use. The issues I had were, shaking it does nothing. There’s a lot that settles in the bottom that will never loosen with shaking. I have tried a spade drill with the point and corners ground off. This works well however there always seems to be lumps in it. It does not come out of the bottle very well when squeezing. Good information on the video 👍

I've seen some twist wire nuts that have come lose after a few years..even with tape. I stopped trusting those as I used to.

As a retired HVAC contractor using magnetic vinyl worked well, I would put the size of the filter on it for easy reference. On heat pumps with marginal duct size I wouldn’t recommend anything greater than Merv 8

I'm getting brand new gutters installed on my house for the first time next week and the quote was right at $1,200. They added an additional $800 if I wanted to get gutter guards installed along with them. Seeing that that would be too much, I decided to do it myself wants the gutters are installed and will most likely go with the plastic guards that have the mesh screen on them. My mom used those without any problem for many years. I do plan on overlapping Mine by about an inch though.

This is not entirely true Penny Sku's at HD is not meant for sale. Once they go to a penny, they are to be immediately removed from the floor. If by some miracle you stumble upon a penny sku, theres a good chance you will be allowed to take it, as the Management failed to ensure it was taken off the floor. However if you are digging to find these items, or ask an associate to find one, Home Depot will likely refuse you taking it and remove it from the floor there. Penny Skus are only a penny so it stays in the pos system, they need to hold some value in order to do so

This would be a better meter to use for measuring alternating current as it has a LOZ function that is a must for measuring voltage as it puts a load on the circuit to see if it actually measuring the correct voltage or ghost voltage.Klein Tools CL800 I actually prefer a Fluke meter that has a LOZ function. I have seen a lot of Electrician get fooled by this as a Appliance Technician.Some of them don't even know what a LOZ terminology is.

Filters don't clean home air. Every time you open an outside door, literally billions of particles come in. Filters keep your furnace clean. A merv 7 or 8 is perfect to keep particles low and air flow adequate.

Ok I got the same valve stem it is stripped and the water is on is there a way to turn the water off from the valve stem? It needs to be rotated

I’m a subcontractor installer for these kits. Yes, the front and back walls are flimsy until secured to the side walls. Your kit comes with eave trim to cover the 2x4 soffit. (Supposed to) To your viewers, secure the rafters before your lofts. Reaching over shelving to toenail rafters is annoying. All said, nice build.

Wago is garbage and you support garbage. Wire nuts are the best way to make connection

Yeah don’t try boring through a concrete wall with a wood hole saw lol. Someday I’m going to put a mini split in so I don’t have to lift the window AC into the window and seal it up every summer.
