    I had a reservation for an F150 lighting. Over a year went by and still wasn't called to order so I canceled and got back my interest free loan to FoMoCo. Last week I finally got a chance to test drive one as the dealership had several on the lot. I was like Meh. Didn't really do anything for me. Didn't find it comfortable to sit in either compared to the Silverado. Anyway, the reason I'm telling you this is I know you're excited to get a CyberTruk and had a goal set to get one. My advice is to wait until you can sit in one. If you get one and you hate it, don't expect to be able to turn around and sell or trade it without it costing you a fortune.

    Thanks for the information. I have been watching your videos for at least two years and you have helped me on some projects, such as patching my driveway and walks. I also bought the same secure door latch after watching your video and I put on my walk in garage door for a more secure door for possible break-in and I added three inch galvanized screws for strength all around.
    Thanks again for your help.

    I didn't know you do Polls. I'll start participating. I knew how to search and channel's video page. I have enjoyed your videos with visitors and other CZcamsrs, so more should be great. Full DIY projects from plans doing all the work and then comparing them to pre-constructed store bought and kits would be great. One-click shopping lists would be great. If we wanted say a different 2x4 type or roofing type, etc., we could make our own changes, and maybe you could accommodate that with check boxes.
    If you get a Cybertruck and video that trip and process, it would also be very interesting to see follow up videos on things you still really like and things which become a disappointment over time. I'm talking a few videos over time, after the newness and excitement ware off. It's going to be a 1st year release, so there could be some bugs to be worked out. Personally, I would never buy a 1st year release of any vehicle. Your November 22, 2019 price from the *F150 Owner Is Switching To The Cybertruck* video was ≈$57,000. From everything I've been hearing about Tesla, prices have skyrocketed, but are supposed to be coming down again. Are you locked into a price from 2019, which I think is doubtful, so how much is it now, if you don't mind saying. I will say, Good luck with it and I hope you love it.

    I'm good with the changes as long as you don't go down the This Old House road and make the projects way above and beyond the average DIYer. And following in the TOH vein, you're the face of Everyday Home Repairs, so when you have other experts doing video's on YOUR channel, and it just launches into them doing the project, it's a bit shocking. Even if you did a quick blurb introducing the person doing the video that week (which I think you may have started doing), it would keep some of us from thinking that we clicked on the wrong video. And, 6 years into this project you represent the "brand", so...
    Keep up the great work!

    EVs of any kind is a bad idea when you consider that about 61% of electricity in this country (USA) is produced by fossil fuels. Take into account the inefficiencies of the energy conversions from fossil fuel into heating water into super-heated steam, through turbines, rotational energy into electrical energy from a generator, into transforming the voltage from the lower voltage output of a generator to bulk transmission level voltages (500+ KV), conversion into lower level transmission voltages (230-345 KV+), conversion into local transmission level voltages (~138- 69KV), conversion into distribution line level voltages (12.5 - 35 KV), conversion into the typical 120/240V house-level consumer voltages and one ends up consuming more fossil fuels-- a classic case of unintended consequences. Also, the electrical grid infrastructure just cannot handle a mass conversion to EVs capacity-wise. One would, instead, have to settle for local/neighborhood/home EV recharging stations powered by fossil fuels such as diesel, oil, gasoline or natural gas. How absurd is that? And these problems do not even take into account the low range of EVs, long recharging times, the massive destruction to the environment mining rare earth elements, China's stranglehold on these rare earth elements (a national security issue), dangers of lithium-ion batteries, the difficulty of putting out lithium-ion battery fires, and cost of replacement of these batteries (as much as the original cost of the car). Hard to conceive that anyone would think mass EV usage is a good idea.
    OK, I'm off my soap box. :-) I want to say that I am new to your channel and, being a DIY'er, I really appreciate your content.Thanks much!

    I'll be "fascinated" by your Cybertruck odysseys- maybe. I think it is a mistake to buy something that new off the line. Musk has numerous issues with his vehicles and many recalls, Let someone else test the beta versions. "Remember the Delorean !" I do enjoy your videos. The main complaint about many of these type videos, regardless of channel, is that they tend to edit out the real life issues you run into doing these tasks. This Old House is especially bad for this. They appear to have a crew come in, in advance, to loosen or remove troublesome screws and bolts, provide easy access , always have the right part in hand. My personal rule is if you think an hour for a job , triple it for the real world.

  • @GeorgeVCohea-dw7ou
    @GeorgeVCohea-dw7ou Před 4 měsíci

    I suggest that you do at the very least a brief on camera intro for every video that features a different expert. It could be a simple set up shot done at a totally different time & place or could be onsite with an actual personal introduction, but since you are the face of the channel, there is a great amount of reputation and trust built up that could be somewhat eroded by seeing someone else without explanation. This is not to imply that your experts are any less anything but likely could result in not recognising the channel and or being a bit jarring to some without context. A presentor role suits your style in any case.
    Ooh, videos where you interview your experts about their background, experience and expertise might be interesting, especially if you intend on giving each a specific video playlist.

    As a counterpoint to all the positive comments... I purposely limit my YT viewing time. I have no time to view 2-3 videos of _your_ channel per week, and definitely avoid hour long videos.
    I'll also unsubscribe at the first appearance of a Tesla Cyber Crap, as it has no place here on this channel.

      Oh no, if you want a dual motor Foundation series (first available) with everything including taxes it is almost $110K. Insane, I know.
