😃 I am sure your Aunt isn't actually stupid! These cars can have hefty bills for sure. Important to buy one from a dealer with warranty , keep them maintained by specialists annually and buy a good one in the first place. Certainly, never but the cheapest. It might bite one's ass. Some owners will get away with it but over time there will be some big bills. We were mostly just paying service costs (£1500 to £2000) but have had 2 x £5k bills for bigger stuff in that time. Still, I contend that one would lose that in value by buying a new mid-sixed German executive car! I'd much rather have the Bentley. it is an amazing experience. Ade

Ha, yeah. They still sell Morgans and Suburus but specialise mostly in Lotus and McLaren now. My Lotus is there right now getting some electrical and paint issues sorted!

There are three different types of motorcycle licences that you can obtain: A1 Licence, A2 Licence, and A Licence. If you are between the ages of 17 and 19, then you can apply for your A1 Licence. However, you are legally required to ride a motorcycle with an engine size of no larger than 125 cc. Its power output cannot be over 11kW either. But you can still carry passengers and ride on motorways when you get your A1 Licence. Someone between the ages of 19 and 24 can apply for an A2 Licence. You will be required to take a practical test, even if you already have an A1 Licence. An A2 Licence allows you to ride motorcycles with engines that have up to 35kW of power output and a minimum of 395cc. These would be considered intermediate motorcycles as opposed to the beginner motorcycles of an A1 Licence. If you have reached the age of 24 or higher, then you can apply for your full A (Direct Access) Licence. This licence entitles you to ride any size vehicle without restrictions.

Yeah. it is so easy and so light, even the very shortest people can ride. 5' 4" is not a problem to learn on. After that, when buying a bike, you can look around for the one that you are most confident with.

That's what I thought. The integrale has been 100% faultless for the year I have had it so far. I am sure it can be dailied but overall it has not got the creature comforts that the Emira has. I count myself VERY fortunate to currently have both and they are so similar yet so different!

Eek. I suspect it does not really matter. Ferrari started off with just front-engined cars, of course. Some of the best ever sports cars are front engined. i.e. 250 GTO and E-Type.

Well, like any sports/super car you need to go in with a budget to maintain the car and run it properly over a number of years. I believe this number is £5000 a year for any car like this, perhaps up to £10000 for a Lamborghini or older V12 Ferrari. What you don't spend can carry over. Then it comes down to luck and having a car that does not go wrong. Par of this 'luck' can be helped by buying right in the first place.

Great question. Weirdly it may suffer from not being rear engined and not a 911. But the rarity, heritage and homologation element should be more than enough to push the price up. It should at least be integrale prices and possibly BM3 M3 Evo prices but I think, over time, this car will really shine.

Not a lot now but I used to work in the City as a broker and had some nice savings which i spent all on cars and I am now skint! :D

Well, 430 is a generation on and a lot faster but, of course, you pay more for it so all I can suggest to others is to go for the best example you can afford of either, whichever suits your eye more. I'd pay the extra to have the F430 myself though. The extra power is very welcome.

Ah, good tip about the paint there. Of course, the volcano red and orange are my favourites! I was thinking of doing a Sportscar vs Supercar video. It is not as simple as it sounds. Simply out, the 570S performance is amazing and quite likely actually more relevant to 95% of owners than the 7xx range of cars which are nigh unusable.

What we need is a word for a Sports Car and a Half, not quite a supercar! 😊

It is a close call as to the best V6 in production. The contenders are mostly the Emira, Jag, Alfa Quadrifoglio and MC20. I love the F-Type but perhaps too many pops for others as this has been ruined by boy racers in their Golfs and RS cars. Happy to do a sound off if you are near Surrey! I doubt the Jag can live with the Emira sound at high revs but likely beats it at lower revs. Certainly my two favourite coupes of the last 20 years.

For sure. Have you watched my Drivers Car video? I try NOT to suggest a drivers' car can ONLY be a manual but it is tough to not go in that direction. Manuals will become relics of course but will become more special over time due to this.

I love the F-Type. Always turns my head and I was 100% either going to get the V6 S or the V8 likely in SVR guide. I believe it was the best looking car until the Emira came out. I had to get a Larini exhaust mind to match the aural impact of the Jaguar but does not pop in the same way. Other than that, very different cars in the way they put power down, the Jag being more GT, more comfy and less raw which clearly and deservedly suits more people in the real world, especially if it an only car and daily. Am in Surrey if you wish to do a comparison video! Ade

​​@@RevMonkey thanks for replying. I'm very happy with the almost immediate power delivery of the V6. I daily mine on A and B roads around West/South Yorkshire where I'm based. The manual transmission (only 200 were built for the UK market) makes it all more entertaining. I'd be happy for you to feature it in a comparison video if you fancy a trip up north. We have some of the best scenery roads around here. I've just detailed it so it's arguably the best it's ever looked. Search for Caldera Red Manual V6 on the F-type UK forum and you'll find it easily.

Ha, yeah, that was my first ever ride on a superbike. Amazing experience. I later went on to buy a Panigale and then a Fireblade SP2 - both of which I crashed! 😁 Still, I think the safest superbikes are the Fireblade and the BMW S1000RR.

Ha. Mostly. There will always be some niggles but generally speaking it runs really well and remarkably well built as there are no rattles or squeaks. The older cars are at least easy to work on.

No real way to get that figure. Some of the original 75 would have now ended up abroad. Most will be off the road. I would guestimate about 25?

I believe, in the long run, due to this car's particular story that it 'should' outperform the others mentioned. A 911 GT model is relatively safe. A manual R8 Spider V10 is a good buy. I would also add in a Lotus Elise, a Clio V6 and and Alfa SZ.
