Anybody who has not driven an Exige needs to go out and get in one, ASAP. Different gravy. 👍
100%. Superb raw, wonderful cars that offer up a great experience. Proper drivers' car.
@@RevMonkey Yes truly!
R34 - what a B E A S T ! Awesome car and, as you say, a really good colour for it. Get one now before they all go over 100k 😀
They might well do. Such a cult following now and demand will always be good.
I'd love to stick a classic in the garage. I'd likely opt for an Elise though. Still a cool car, decent speed for the roads and cheaper to boot.
Yeah, great shout, though prices are rising on those too now!
I'd sell 3 of my organs to own that Diablo but in reality, for the same price, I could get the Mclaren for a daily, the Ferrari for the summer and the Exige for the track and still have money left over! 🤪
Ha, yeah, what one can afford instead is part of the fun and the decision process where one has serious money is not any easier.
The Ferrari and the Macca look like the clear 'bargains' to me. Great pick ups at the price you mention. What a lot of cars for the money, right.
Yes they are!
Once again, that Clio V6 looks a bargain relative to the other cars. I really love it and your videos keep nudging me! 😘
Yeah, get one! Must be one of the coolest cars you get in the 30- 40k range.
Cool video. I am enjoying the series even though I am skint!
Glad you like them!
Regarding the 570S, they call it a sports series car but it's quicker than its rivals in the sports car category and as quick as some super cars. It's not a photogenic car in my opinion but in the flesh it definitely looks like a super car.
I watched a Thorney vid recently, they talked about buyers needing to be cautious when buying the volcano colours on the 2nd hand market. If there is paint work that needs to be done the volcano colours are difficult to rectify which means more expensive to fix.
Ah, good tip about the paint there. Of course, the volcano red and orange are my favourites!
I was thinking of doing a Sportscar vs Supercar video. It is not as simple as it sounds.
Simply out, the 570S performance is amazing and quite likely actually more relevant to 95% of owners than the 7xx range of cars which are nigh unusable.
What we need is a word for a Sports Car and a Half, not quite a supercar! 😊
@@dannymurphy4634 Super sport
..damnit Bugatti used that for their hypercar 😂
@@larssonk22 That might well have worked.😁
Ferrari 360 looking like epic bargains right now, across the board really. I'd definitely look at manual car with decent history though this one with just 2 owners is marvellous.
Yep, a fine Ferrari and a fine buy.
@@RevMonkey great choice!!
Another great watch, thanks Ade. Always interesting to hear your thoughts on these lovely cars. 👍
Appreciate that. I really enjoy it. Keeps my mind on it too, in case i win the lottery! 😁
@@RevMonkey You will surely win!
Not driven any of those cars but hearing about them is tickling my wallet 😊
Ha. And mine. ALWAYS!
Which car would you most like to own out of those cars, pound for pound?
The Exige.
Looking at these superb cars it begs the question, should a sports car engine be at the front or the back? 😄😁
Eek. I suspect it does not really matter. Ferrari started off with just front-engined cars, of course.
Some of the best ever sports cars are front engined. i.e. 250 GTO and E-Type.
@@RevMonkey Yeah!!
I also prefer your Porsche in black from your videos. Seriously cool car dude. 😎
Thanks, I have to agree!
@@RevMonkey Welcome!!
Would you say that all of these cars shown are Drivers' Cars according to your own criteria?
Yes, they all have more than one aspect that would make a Drivers' Car. Some more than othes.
@@RevMonkey Great to hear!
One still hears stories about McLaren nightmares. Is this really still the case as it does put me off though that 570S looks a perfect spec.
Well, like any sports/super car you need to go in with a budget to maintain the car and run it properly over a number of years. I believe this number is £5000 a year for any car like this, perhaps up to £10000 for a Lamborghini or older V12 Ferrari. What you don't spend can carry over.
Then it comes down to luck and having a car that does not go wrong. Par of this 'luck' can be helped by buying right in the first place.
Why is it then that the Porsche, being a homologation car, falls behind some of the other cars?
Great question. Weirdly it may suffer from not being rear engined and not a 911. But the rarity, heritage and homologation element should be more than enough to push the price up.
It should at least be integrale prices and possibly BM3 M3 Evo prices but I think, over time, this car will really shine.
Enjoyed the video and your energy there. What would you take, a Diablo VT or a decent Murcielago?
I do just prefer the Murcie but the Diablo has even more presence. Agh, hard choice actually. I'd have to drive both and see which one I prefer.
Is it really time to get back into buying sports cars again? Still so much instability out there.
As I keep saying, this is more of an opportunity to get the car you really wish to in the desired spec. At some point, certain cars will bounce back.
@@RevMonkey yES!! yOUR correct!
360 or F430 Ade?
Well, 430 is a generation on and a lot faster but, of course, you pay more for it so all I can suggest to others is to go for the best example you can afford of either, whichever suits your eye more.
I'd pay the extra to have the F430 myself though. The extra power is very welcome.
@@RevMonkey Makes sense. I do like the 360 and the values are very good.
@@dannymurphy4634 Cannot go wrong with either and have comparable running costs.
