How the Aeta People Forage in the Philippines (Pampanga)
What are the mysteries of the mountains of Pampanga? We met with the Aeta community in Floridablanca to get a glimpse of their lives. The Aetas are believed to some of the earliest inhabitants of the Philippines and were once a nomadic people.
Their tenacity and culture offers a glimpse into a way of life that’s deeply connected to the Earth. In this video, we are taking a backseat as we observe and learn from the everyday life of the Aeta indigenous community living along the picturesque Zambales mountain range.

The Kapampangan people are arguably the most passionate about cooking in the Philippines. Their dedication to culinary excellence is driven by several factors, reflecting their deep-seated cultural values and traditions. Firstly, the Kapampangan are known for their exceptional hospitality, taking immense pride in carefully preparing food to please their guests with truly delightful flavors. They are meticulous about maintaining the authenticity and consistency of their dishes, as they are highly sensitive to criticism, especially regarding their culinary practices. This commitment to quality ensures that visitors have a consistently excellent dining experience, encouraging them to return to Pampanga. Furthermore, this unwavering dedication to cooking is what has earned the Kapampangan their reputation for having the biggest heart in the culinary arts. Their aspiration to be recognized as the culinary capital of the Philippines is well-deserved, given their significant impact on the country's gastronomic landscape. The Kapampangan's love for cooking is not just a passion; it is an integral part of their identity and cultural heritage.

The bread looks delicious and sounds good in theory - but we would never eat it from this bakery as it is made by hand with workers who DO NOT WEAR GLOVES - very unsanitary - this would be a major health violation in the U.S.A. - but thank you for sharing your video with us.
Meron sila nung wala yung mayaman. Yung pagiging kuntento at maka tao

I think it would make the paste taste so much better if the coconut meat was toasted a little.
On top of that, he could have cook the coconut milk until the oil comes out and then that's when he should start throwing the other ingredients and then maybe the prawns last to avoid overcooking it, or maybe he could have cook it first but then remove from the pan.
Parang suka ng pusa
