- Freshly baked Pinoy bread is a nostalgic part of every Filipino’s childhood-the morning aroma, the softness in each bite, and the priceless moments shared with family. We are still in Quezon Province, and we are in the heart of Tayabas Bakery’s operations to learn more about their history and production process.
This local favorite has been making bread for the town since 1944 and has remained to be one of the most successful bakeries in Tayabas. Their head baker, Mario, has been around for 20 years, making their iconic “Bonete” bread and other favorites like pandesal, pan de regla, pan de coco, and many more. Watch until the end and don’t forget to subscribe! Thanks for watching!

Content like this is really underrated in YT especially to our Filipino audience, it makes me appreciate the little things in life such as bread and how lucky we are to get products made by our bakers. Thanks for the great video as always!
LITTLE THING?
true❤
We cannot generalize. We just need to have mindful content to grow mindful audiences.
Galing!
Grabe no? This is a luxury nowadays
There's no place like home talaga.🥹🥺
It's a shame but most pinoys find this type of content boring. Kaya nakakalungkot lang, this should have millions of views.
Tara bili tayo pandecoco at kababayan.
Idk why seeing trays of bread makes me wanna cry lmao. I think it reminds me of my childhood, back to the years when I truly believe life was simpler and happier. As always, great video from FEATR!
Fax, I miss my childhood there too
Tayabas Bakery is a legend and icon in Tayabas. I remember tagging along with my Tatay Nato every morning at 6am to switch off the street lights in Tayabas and we never failed to buy our pandesal and bonete from this bakery located at Tayabas kalye mayor. Tatay Nato is already 85yeras old and still a fan of this panaderia. Trivia... Tayabas Bakery is the very first bakery that supplied our "Nutri Bun" way back my elementary days. Thanks for featuring Tayabas -genuine Tayabense here from Dubai
tama po kayo , taga dyn ako
masarp ang pianono pinag ong bunite,🙏👍
Paborito ko ang bonete ❤️👌😊
"ang buhay namin ay siguro parang tinapay na aming produkto, nagsimulang maliit, kung sa tinapay ay umaalsa, kami naman ay umuunlad" OKAAY MAKATA!!! but seriously, that sounded so beautiful.
Freshly cooked pandesal is what I love about mornings growing up. Where did my life led me to losing this?
Try to bake your own. It's not that hard actually. You will love it. I learn to bake from CZcams and hoping 1 day I can have my own bakery😊
This is what I like about family businesses, they bring family values and culture to the community. 👍🏻
True. Neighborhood business are so integral to the fabric of society.
Dude, I love your documentary-real life storys here. I'm from Canada 🇨🇦. And love watching them. I put them in my favorite to watch over and over. Been to the Philippines 🇵🇭 off and on for the last 10 years love it there. Keep the good work up folks I mean it
Thanks once again, they are so fricken awesome
Awesome! Thank you!
In rural areas when I was younger. Bakeries from bigger towns often sell their goods by liaising with local sari-sari stores in outlying baranggays. Including our family's. They'd distribute the classics every few days, like munggo bread, monay, binangkal, etc. and then come back and take the unsold bread to be remade into bread pudding for kalihim (which we called "pie", locally), etc. and restock the rest. The bakery delivery guy would be on a motorcycle with two huge "skylab" boxes attached on the back filled with bread. We didn't actually have a bakery in our little baranggay until I was already in my teens. We could only get fresh pan de sal on sundays when we went to the nearest town for church.
Helping out sometimes at our sari-sari store is how I learned the names of different bread types. I have fond childhood memories of various types of local breads and biscuits that we'd have for merienda.
Thanks for sharing!! This was very insightful. Your memories sound warm.
This!
Good luck on supporting Ukraine.
Americans are tired of the goverment taking our hard earned money (taxes) to send weapons to Ukraine.
waking up at 5am with my mom cooking away in the kitchen, my dad getting ready for work. seeing a paperbag full of pandesal in the kitchen table, mug and chocodrink ready for me to enjoy while we wait for the breakfast... makes my heart so full with love and joy, thank you featr for this heartwarming documentary
How wonderful that the 3rd generation is continuing the business, just like in the Japanese culture. This is inspiring to see family members working for the family business. The bakers are highly skilled too. Please feature more businesses like this. I miss buying bread that are placed inside a supot (brown paper bag) and sealed with a twist of the hands.😊
There is something about watching bakers produce their bread that is so satisfying.
I think about the local bakery that we have here and how often I watch them knead the bread and the smell of freshly baked bread right off the oven.
I love pandesal in the morning,
The art of baking.
Siguro nga dahil sa komplekado ng buhay natin habang tayo ay natanda, minsan naaalala natin kung gaano ka simple ng buhay noon nong tayo ay bata pa and watching videos like this makes me want to go back to those times.
Thank you for sharing this warm video 💚
Another heartwarming feature from FEATR that gives viewers nostalgia. I live in Switzerland (near France) where bread is life, but I will always prefer the pandesal over all the items in the boulangeries here. Back then, my grandparents had a little pension house in Makati and it was bustling in the main house where they prepared daily breakfast for the guests there. I remember hot pandesal every morning with cooked meats, eggs, garlic fried rice and sliced ripe mangoes wafting in the air. In my other grandparents' house in Quezon City, I remember watching my aunts and uncles dunking their pandesals in their coffee, which I thought was so cool. Sweet snippets of the past will always live in my memory.
Thanks for watching!
On behalf of all Quezonians, specially in my hometown Tayabas, Thank you for showcasing our small yet underated city❤❤❤ It's the first time that somebody has highlighted our local cuisine, lifestyle and tradition at this level for everybody to see aswell to explore. Now if everytime I'll be asked where i come from, im showing them this Quezon series. Thank you very much FEATR❤❤ proud tayabasin from New Zealand🇳🇿🇳🇿🙌🙌
Shout out FEATR for an amazing video- galing nyo 👏👏👏
Easily one of my favourite videos on youtube, everything about this is beautiful & so nostalgic for me. Sarap balikan. Salamat dito.
Super galiing 👏🫡
And nakakagutom yung shot ng mga tinapay 🥹
🥹 🥹
i like watching docuseries ni erwann tsaka yung kay Kara David during my free time. reminds me of how simple life is.
I really like your format... you highlight the work they do. You allow them to share their story in their own words. The music is subtle and subdued-- highlighting the sounds created in a bakeshop. Please continue to promote local restaurants, bakery, and the local food of the provinces in this format...😊❤
Philippines 🇵🇭
My mom used to manage a bakery in the province and watching this video brings back so many memories. Aside from selling bake goods in the bakery, we also deliver “balot” baked goods in local sari sari stores. I used to join my mother in delivering baked goods since I enjoy sight seeing different sari sari store in different baranggays. Hayss 😢😢
My go to panaderia in Tayabas. Always love the taste of Bonete and pandesal. When I work as an OFW these two breads are the ones that I'm always craving for 😊
Bakeries and bread is dear to my heart. I grew up eating different kinds of bread because of my mom. She is a home baker and she loves baking every sort of bread. When she mastered pandesal, never na kami bumili sa labas! But pandesal from local bakeries still hits different. ❤ It’s has always been her dream to establish a bakery. She’s retired but Nag jojoke pa nga siya minsan that she bet she can work in a bakery and still love every second of it.
Thanks for the video featr! Love content like this. Super nostalgic 👏
My childhood was like this!!! Going to the bakery and eating fresh pandesal early in the morning! A simple life back then is where its at! Nothing cant beat that feeling 🇵🇭❤️
Glad to see something nostalgic being passed on. Hope it continues for generations to come. More power to the family.
I remembered my Dad everyday, after his work in office. He'd always have a bag of pandesal at hand. Despite all the things we had for dinner, this was one of the most memorable ones... it justs hits different
Masarap talaga tinapay jan, yan ang go to panaderia ko pag nasa tayabas ako.
Breads like pandesal will always be a staple to Filipinos. Watching this made me feel nostalgic as it brings back fond memories from my childhood. Thank you for this Featr! Your contents never fail to show the dedication and craftmanship of our kababayans.
I miss philippines even more after watching this. 🥹
Keeping the tradition alive ❤
This really hits my childhood core memories. We had 2 bakery neighbors and both families managing them are close to my family. The smell of freshly baked bread is very nostalgic. As a child I could freely wander around each bakery anytime. They'd always offer me free bread and cookies too. One baker even went above and beyond by making me a special bread every morning with fun shapes and sizes like Fish, Dog, Cats and many more. Some of the bakers are working part time before and are proud degree holders now as Teachers and Police Officers. Sadly, one of them closed and the house was abandoned, only one was left and is still being managed by the same family.❤
I want to go to this bakery when I visit the Philippines again. These are the businesses that deserve recognition as they are truly founded on Filipino tradition.
Not gonna lie local bakeries makes the best simple bread ong
You will know that the breads are good kapag mga oldies na ang nagbebake eh. It's just really hits different
Beautiful story. Beautiful editing. Beautiful people who love their business.
Another quality content from FEATR. Kudos to the team.
I miss my childhood, gigising ng maaga tapos kakain ng pandesal at iinom ng kape bago pumasok.
Now it's overwhelming, it's nice to see simplicity and passion, nawala kahit papaano 'yung pressure HAHAHA
Ganda ng series na 'to! Very underrated talaga ng Featr
This is so beautiful!
My Lola use to own a bakery in Culion, Palawan in the 40’s. She provided Pandesal to the Lepor colony. Having machinery makes it easier. Was in Coron & Kabankalan in Feb. would have pandesal almost every other day from the bakery fresh baked. Now I miss it.
thankyou to all the baker's!!! kundi dahil po sainyo di kami makakakain ng pagkasarap na tinapay kagaya ng pandesal!
Love all the Quezon content!
The authenticity of each scene, the cinematography, and the limited unnecessary conversations with the owner or people featured are what makes videos like this pure. It gives off a home-y narrative as it looks into the socio-cultural traditions of the Filipinos through food. Great work!
Wow, sobrang masipag at family-oriented sila. Provide a great, at sobrang sarap, service to the community. 🇵🇭
I grew up in that town! I remember going to that bakery with my parents a lot. Lots of good memories and great bread :))
I love watching this beautiful Content it's makes me inspired I'm watching from new jersey USA.i Salute to All Tatay. And Lolo kaka inspired Po Kayo more power Lolo god bless you..
Thank you for making these mini-documentaries. I watch your videos before going to sleep.
NAKAKAMISS SOBRA ANG PINAS!!!
Galing ako probinsya sa Pampanga at laking bukid/palaisdaan.Sobrang simple ng buhay noon,at tuwing umaga maamoy mo pandesal at ibat ibang klase ng tinapay. Ayyy napakasarap balikan!
(MG from US)
As one person that loves bread and pastries. I salute the family for continuing the legacy and I hope they continue to grow. I am happy to see a legacy being passed down to another generation, it gives me so much joy to see it live on. May God bless you all
Reminded me waking up early morning, finding my grandma while praying. After that she and I would walk hand in hand through the forest towards the local bakery. Those were good days ❤
huhu ang saya makakita ng documentary local. Curious ako dati pano ba sila nagawa, ganito pala. Pandesal and pande coco enjoyer 🤚🤚🤚
I watch it all the time because when I have a panic attack I watch it and it calms my mind😊❤thnyou featr for uploading like this❤
I can already smell the smell of fresh baked pandesal thru my phone screen. it brings back memry.
This is what I love about still living in a small town in the Philippines. I can still walk to the local bakery and get my fill of pandesal, little cheese breads, and pan de regla in all sorts of colors. It's one of the things that make me want to stay longer in my town, I'll definitely miss it when I move abroad.
It’s the simple things in life that matters talaga. Hits different. Makes me think that my plan to retire in Ph is right.
I'm already 63 years old & i still remember during our younger years we were used to eat freshly cooked pandesal in the morning with chocolate, milk or coffee & same in the afternoon that's why until now i used to buy if possible every morning a hot pandesal.I know it's an everyday part of Filipinos life like us, bread is always present in the table.
Wish to eat later on your pandesal & bonete right in your place. 🙏
5:38 please keep up this wonderful generation of bakers! You did the community a huge favor. 3rd generation is already an amazing feat!
Nothing beats freshly baked breads
IMO The Best Bread in the World and my favourite bread. Kahit anong palaman. Yung luma at matigas lalagyan ni lola ng butter at sugar tpos itotoast nya. The Best! I miss you lola.
This video is so nostalgic. Tapos kape. What a childhood ❤️
Simple but inspiring and moving storytelling.✨
How i wish....mga Pinoy ma inspired sa storya ng family business ...loving together forever!
Im crying while watching this because my parents are baker. We had a bakery in patnanungan quezon before they passed away, our bread is one of delicious bread in the island, I remember we sell it also in the neighbourhood island nearby. It's my best childhood memories
That time pandesal is 2pcs for 1peso , ,
Bring back my childhood memory like the others comment.
This only proves that there's no short cut to success.
I know this bakery and it is a iconic bakery in Philippines. I remember the last time my mother brought pandesals and ensaymada from Tayabas Bakery. Of all bakeries in the Philippines, this was the most special one.
A VERY MOVING AND JOYFUL DOCUMENTARY. THIS FAMILY BAKES WITH LOVE GOING BACK FOUR GENERATIONS...WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE ARTISANS SUCH AS THIS FAMILY TO NOT ONLY LITERALLY PROVIDE US OUR DAILY BREAD BUT ALSO SPIRITUALLY.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS WITH US.
Thank you for always featuring our town TAYABAS ❤
My salute to FEATR for another great content! Missing this classic kind of Pinoy Panaderia! Mabuhay ang Tayabas Bakery!
Watching FEATR videos is how I combat my homesickness for Ph. Thank you for making stories that bring us back, even just for a few minutes.
I'm very proud that I have seen a documentary in my hometown, especially about Tayabas Bakery!!!😊
Awesome sharing great video kakamiss ng pilipino bread and simple lifestyle
This is such a heartwarming and inspiring featr. ❤️ The way Sir Pablito explained how he takes good care of their employees, how he listens to his customers, and takes pride in the quality of the products they put out every single day is a masterclass in business management.
Aw I miss pandesal. Living now in UK, I haven’t eaten one in years! 🥲 Iba pa din ang sariling atin.
Watching the video was somewhat therapeutic and relaxing. Also, I love pandesal in the morning whether with liver spread, butter, peanut butter, etc...
i miss home😢,the smell of fresh pandesal in the morning, lining up, "samtang init pa" paired with milo, then 3ish in the afternoon, eat together with coke🥺 how i appreciate now our local bakeries back in my hometown, than store brought bread. the easy, convinient smell and taste of home
I was working in the bakery in my teenage years looking back , i wanted to start my own bakery here abroad , learning hiw to make different kinds of bread, growing up pandesal and amy bread is a staple in our house , breakfast or snack anytime anyday
Lucky to have seen this panaderia life from my father's side. My Lolo ran a similar business and tirelessly did the same things - from waking up at 3am and sleeping at around 11pm to prepare all what had to be baked. He had people doing other things but would still be on top of it all and even would knead ("masa") doughs himself. We had that pugon still and we as kids, were part of the business during summer. 🫰🏽 If you're from San Juan, Manila - you would have heard of Remar's Bakery. 🙌🏽
This is very insightful and makes me appreciate more our local businesses.
Pan burikat and monggo bread are few of my favorite
i remember a small bakery in Lucena..in the wee hours of the moring, the smell of fresh baking bread permeates the whole street, waking up the whole community. Baked in pugon hits differently.
Nostalgic. ❤ I remembered my grandparents buying us pandesal and pande coco when we were kids during summer.
Love your story telling of our Filipino culture and cuisine through the eyes of ordinary people.
I don't usually leave a comment to videos I watch on YT. But this really deserves a one. Great work Erwan! Such a quality content!
I really love the way you guys tell the story. As a film enthusiast (self-proclaimed) these videos really give me inspiration to try filming once more.
admires the family kept the business going even with new baking machineries tools to help production. Kudos to them! kasipagan talaga!

May kasamang milo pa. Kamiss!
Thank you for having Quezon province as your content. It reminded all my childhood memories with my late father. So happy. 🥰
