  • Mount Banahaw is one of the most recognizable sites in Quezon Province, Philippines. This monolith of a volcano towers over the province and is considered sacred by the locals. Ben Francia is a fourth-generation forager who owns a piece of land on Mt. Banahaw. He studied how to apply permaculture farming to maximize the bountiful land that he inherited from his family.
Today, we are sharing a glimpse of what it’s like to live off the land at its simplest form. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe to our channel!

Wow! Your video features a lot of what Quezonians memoirs of living. What a nostalgic meal especially the lagikway with egg. Growing in Quezon, and consuming these healthyliscious wild veggies were a real treat for me, but back then, I didn't realized those familiar and easily accessible veggies around our house were really a great treat to our health. I didn't realized back then I was eating a power food, an organic and non-GMO food readily available from our wild garden to the table. I do remember eating almost everything with Malungay which I am missing everyday, living in the USA. All these food that you have prepared gave me a blast of yesteryears memories of my childhood life in Mauban, Quezon. I do miss Pinais and Pinangat. We called Kasupangil that leaves that you are calling Kawamba, these leaves brings back lots of delectable home cook meals that my mom used to prepare for us out from the scratch. I hope someday to go back to my roots, and retires in Quezon. Thank you for sharing your video.
