@@madebyjovan you can use the tea tree oil as often as needed, I would try disconnecting the drain from the point and see if it has any effect

@@FullyAirconditioned would love to try disconnecting the drain but the pipe is covered with PVC case. Might need to call in the AC guy to do it 🥲 will give the tea tree oil method a try first. But how many drop should I drip into a cup of water to dilute it?

@@jasonmcroberts7994 no it doesn’t control temp in different zones, it’s just on off zoning. Additional sensors can be fitted but that just changes the temp sensing location.

@@FullyAirconditioned I only have three options, None, System and Outside Air Temperature. Any ideas why Room Temp is not an option; thought it might be a field settings issue but can’t find a master file that explains every field setting… Really appreciate your help.

@@LChristou-n4j check felid setting 1c - 0 - 02 this allows room temp to be displayed in “detailed settings”. It’s set to this from factory so someone must have changed too 1c -0 - 01, “not displayed”.

I have implemented your other settings so it should be reading the wall unit temp. Any suggestions why this could be inaccurate and are there any fixes you’re aware of? @@LChristou-n4j there is no calibration for the sensor readings, if this sensor is active as the control it what controlling the system.

@@CamBaniasadi yes there is, it’s in the insulation manual, you should be able to search on line or the Daikin’s web site

@@FullyAirconditioned Thanks heaps. And I assume that you consider the maximum airflow value not the nominal one, is that a correct assumption? I reckon for a 12.5kW Daikin system, the maximum airflow value is 840 while the nominal one is 755.

@@Lore_tta sorry I am not familiar with that model, don’t believe it sold here in Australia. Have you tried the Midea website or contacting them directly?

@@RomaaPlays no, if the smell keeps coming back we strip down the indoor unit and clean all components.

@@FullyAirconditioned I have a unit that's only a few months old and I clean it constantly and it smells on fan mode sometimes still, even after I opened it and cleaned the internal components, I think it has to do with the fan wheel. I've sprayed it with different mold killers but smell always comes back... probably will disassemble and soak the fan in bleach 🤷

@@RomaaPlays is the smell coming from the drain ?? On a split system a small amount of air gets drawn up the drain pipe, if some one has connect it to the sewer you could be getting smells from the drain.

@@FullyAirconditioned it's a u shaped window ac from Midea, I clean the outside unit every couple weeks or so. I was also suspecting it since the drain is connected to the outdoor pan. some have advised to drill a drain hole but that would make it slightly less effective since the fan throws the pooled water

@@RomaaPlays we don’t have those units in Australia, they don’t meet minimum energy efficiency standards. Basically all units in Australia have inverter compressors, you can get window units but they only very small capacity 2.0kw or 7000btu, any thing above this just doesn’t pass the standard. It’s a very small market for window units in Australia. Split type units with an inverter compressor is the most common and efficient.

@@HL-ng4bh it’s probably a VRV or multi head system with only one outdoor unit, change the mode at the upstairs unit to the mode you want down stairs. Then check the unit down stairs, it should go into the same mode. The up stairs unit is the master and dictates what mode the system is in, give it a try.

@@FullyAirconditioned Thanks for the tip! I've made sure that both the upstairs and downstairs units are on the same mode, but the downstairs vent still isn’t working. Could this be something to do with the field settings? Looking forward to your further advice. Thanks!

@@joel-pv1gr Mismatching of indoor & outdoor Field setting of outdoor PCB not done after PCB replacement. Faulty indoor or outdoor PCB. Check F1/F2 transmission wiring. *For VRV excessive number of indoor units.

It does that so its not blowing cool air on start up, the coil heats up to a set temp, then the fan cycles on. As the coil maintains a rising temp the fan keeps stepping up in speed until it reaches its set speed.

@@boomchancre push the middle buttons, that will take you into the menu, scroll all the way down to the bottom (this is language) push middle button again and it should have all the different languages 👍🏻😜

@@isharathore9825 check the energy saving options, sounds like someone has set a push button time for 3 hours operation. Push menu, energy saving options, energy saving list and check that that they are all turned off, that should fix it.

@@janetcarney953 you have set point auto reset active on your controller, go into menu, energy savings options, then go to energy saving list. Here it will let you know what energy saving are turned on, turn them all off.

@@godsbluehills a package unit as in a large roof mounted unit often used in commercial buildings?? you could do it just up scale to a pump up spray bottle and you would need to remove some panels to get to the coil.

It all about raising money for charity and having fun while you do it. Spent less than $1500.00 on a car and drive it over 4000 km through some of Australia's most rugged off the beaten track roads and hope it makes it. Shitbox rally minimum requirement is UHF, Spare wheels and jerry can. They recommend getting the car checked out for basic mechanical repairs, car has to be road worthy, a bash guard is also highly recommended. We did all the recommended and painted the car, I would say 80% of the cars on the rally had been painted in some way. Car = $1, Paint ect = $95, stereo = $99.00, bash guard = $190.00, UHF = donated, handpiece cable for uhf ebay = $22, Car services free labour( filters, oil, air, cabin, wiper blades, light bulb = $114.00) , light bar = $39, (siren, loud speaker, battery, backup) = donated, singwrighting = donated, spare wheels = donated. All up we have spent less than $600.00, We raised $9,360.00, the 2024 winter Shitbox Rally event raised over 2.4 million for the Cancer council. A very successful event that we are proud to be part of.

I am pretty good with air con, but not that good 🤪, try the tea tree oil it will kill any bacteria on the coil, when this bacteria gets wet it can smell
