Handheld Inkjet Printer for Batch Labelling - Phezer P15

I picked up a handheld inkjet printer because I need to start batch labelling my cans. Here's a quick look at what it comes with and how easy it is to use. It is the Phezer P15 from Aliexpress. Most of the North American ones kind of looked pretty close, so I figured I'd roll the dice and see if it will work for what I want. Here's a link to the specific one I purchased. Great Video! Made me laugh a few times. My husband really enjoyed your beer over the weekend too. It was also nice meeting you at the Barn this past Saturday. I will take your notes on how to create videos. Cheers to you!
Thanks for checking it out! The market was fun and I'm hoping to be back next weekend. Cheers!
This is one of the best stout styles ever! Luscious and delectable.
I definitely enjoy me a good oatmeal stout. Cheers!
agree with everyone else this helped alot, nice sense of humour as well! :D
Great to hear! Cheers!
Great idea & hilarious too
Thanks for checking it out! Cheers!
I'm seriously considering doing the same with an Anvil Bucket Fermenter.
It makes sense. I think it would work a lot better than the small chill tube they sell to fit through the top. Cheers!
Do it! I just did it to mine. I haven't tested it yet, but I am excited for it. It looks like it will do a much better job at cooling than the small one made for it. Plus it frees up the center hole so you can use a tri clamp for pressure transfers and o2 free dry hopping!
does it print QR codes?
I haven't played with the software much, but I believe it prints images. I don't think there is any auto QR code function or anything like that. I think it would work on something like a box, but you may get mixed results on a curved surface. Cheers!
That’s pretty cool man
It turned out better than expected, but got a little boozier tasting after a few months. Cheers!
i can’t believe you chug your beautiful homebrew!
It is a crime and I have no good excuse. Sorry and cheers!
Thanks. How would this work on dispisible cups for a cafe.
I think it would work well. You would need to make a jig or something like it for printing a quick label, but it would work on the cups. Probably not the greatest if you're looking to put a clean logo on the cups. It is easy to smudge or stretch a bit while printing.
@@PartyTimeBrewing ok thanks
Try adding chocolate (900) and roasted (1200-1400) malts separately at 161 temperature pauses. Mashing time 15-20 minutes. This will give a bright shade of taste without excessive bitterness. You need to get about 5.5-5.6 pH before fermentation. At the end of boiling. Stop heating 10-15 minutes before the end of cooking. Take 5 grams of soda to begin with, quench it with boiling water in a glass, and slowly pour it into the wort. Be careful, this reaction is very violent, do not rush. Stir well and check the pH. I think you can do it with 10 grams of soda. This will give a wonderful body and bright malt in the sip. After the pH reaches 5.5, turn on the heat and continue boiling. There will be a laundry smell for ~10 minutes, this is normal, it will dissipate very soon. Later you will figure out the volume of soda for your brewery and can adjust the water profile. As a result, we will get a very clean, very readable, bright game of malt in the beer (if we don’t crush everything with hops)
Is AI taking over?
Yep,that's efficiency
i got a killer deal at my local HBS for the cannular manual model with power supply for just over 400. they were just trying to get rid of it as they said it wasn't selling, and the guy that was working there had no idea what came with it. So he gave me the power supply with it. I paid for it and ran lol. It required a lot of adjusting in the rollers to get it right, but many cans wasted and time taken later..its going great!
Sounds like a great deal! Mine was pretty good when it came, but I definitely gave it the one over before going nuts with it. I've done about 3000 cans so far with minimal problems. Cheers!
can you try to print on inflated latex balloon please
It works on balloons. I did it by hand and it took a few attempts not to smudge. The template thing that comes with it would probably be better. Cheers!
i am a fan. very funny. and mediocre, great.
I produce top of the line mediocre videos! Cheers and thanks for watching!
thanks for the tips, i would have wasted a few bucks if i didnt see this video, keep up the good work buddy.
Good to know! Thanks for checking it out. Cheers!
Question- so your saying i will need to squirt some CO2 from a cannister to keep pressure? hmmm you figure the keg wud be pressurizing while the yeast eats the priming sugar. creating carbonation if ur keg not leaking. similar to bottled primed beer? 2 weeks later. good video tho! thx
That is just to guarantee a seal. Sometimes the seal on the corny kegs is tricky, but possibly a bit of keg lube would work as well. It's just that if the lid has a small leak, the pressure doesn't fill up fast enough to push the seal tight. Cheers!

Mama Lucifer! Damn, took me a few lines of reading to clue in! Hadn't seen that part written out. Cheers!
Nice vid, James. very clear beer. Do you use any additives for clarifying or was that just from time at low temp? Thank you
Thanks! I think I used biofine on this batch, but have made batches without and time works just as good! Sometimes I find biofine leaves a really cloudy haze at the bottom of the batch and wastes a bunch of beer. Cheers!
Looks successful using regular 'rolled' oats. Most recipes i see called for 'flaked' etc. Any major differences? Looks like it worked!
I believe flakes are pretty much the same as the quick oats, the important part is that they are pre gelatinized and you don't have to do a cereal mash to get the starch out. Cheers!
So metric! Love it.
Metric makes so much more sense! Cheers!
You're videos are excellent. Blue moon clone inspiration
Thanks! I really like that beer and have used it as an inspiration for my American Wheat beer. I like what the coriander and orange peel add to the fairly clean flavour. Cheers!
You have no idea how excited I get, when there's a new Party Time Brews video. I homebrew 85% mead, 10% wine, 4% cider, and maybe 1% beer but I'm still thrilled to see what you're working on. Pretty color on the pour. You're one of my favorite brewtubers! Keep it up man!
Awesome to hear! I'm hoping to keep them coming (but definitely not at the weekly pace)! Someday I'll try making a mead. Cheers!
Your lackluster delivery is getting me enthused for another brew-ish day. More vids
There will be more vids to come! Featuring more lackluster delivery! Cheers!
Keep brewing it and tweaking until you get it perfect!
That's the plan! I like the recipe I have now, but I definitely always try to make it better. Cheers!
Partyyy timee ❤🎉 , good times thankyou funny man, honest video for all of us to learn from cheers from australia 🍻
Thanks! I need to get to Australia, hopefully sooner than later! Cheers!
Great to see you back! Looks great.
Thanks Curt! Cheers!
been waitin for a new release....
Hopefully you won't have to wait as long for the next one! Cheers!
Great to see another Party Time vid. So i need one of those hats and a glass. But the webite wont let me check a shipping cost to California. Help me out James. Lol
I still don't really have a good way to get the merch out, but I'll see if I can figure it out assuming you're still at the address I sent stickers. I need to figure out the packaging and shipping thing. Cheers!
Well you definitely shouldn’t change the shirt because that one’s rad!!! 😂 cheers 🍻
It's one of the finest shirts I've ever owned! Cheers!

Yessir!
Glad to see you back, James! Thanks for laughs. The beer looks great 🍻
Thanks! It's good to be back! Cheers!
Awesome clarity James. Great can branding. Cheers Buddy.
Thanks, I just need to mix the cans up a bit... They are all mostly the same just with the upper background color changed. Cheers!
You moved forward, you can make adjustments as you go. No rules for how fast or pretty the product is. The only bullet point the customer will care about is: "did I get my money's worth?"@@PartyTimeBrewing
Nice one James, looks like a solid result in the end. Glad to hear you’re looking to post more videos.
Thanks, I love making the videos, I just didn't have the time until I forced myself to do it instead of brewery stuff... Cheers!
Ya I usually have to buy ssbrew tech parts to make it work so much better.
True! I'd like to pick up a bigger carb stone for when I'm using it as a dedicated brite tank. Cheers!
I was actually looking for something like this, but wasn't sure if these would hold up to the task. Have you used it since the video? Still happy with it? Like the lick test 👌
I used it once for a little over 200 cans. It worked pretty good, but I really need a template to use for making a centered print. It definitely does the trick, but I need to play a bit with the font size to find the clearest print. It is quick and only adds a few minutes to the packaging, but the cans need to be dry. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Soldering the iSpindel yourself has an extra wrinkle, which is leaded solder. I personally would really not want to use leaded solder for obvious reasons, but lead free solder is a pain to work with. Granted who knows if ebay sellers are using lead-free either, but hopefully they are and they can deal with it.
I'd hope it is lead free. Especially since the cap kind of sucks on it (mine cracked pretty quick although probably due to putting it on too tight). Normally it wouldn't hit the beer, but you never know. Cheers!
Like for the the Seitan t-shirt 👍 Thanks mate, I'm in the process of doing my first fresh wort now, you eased a lot of the pressure 😉
Great to hear! The fresh wort kits are great for starting out or if you just don't want a too complicated brew day. If you stick with those, I definitely recommend playing around with some dry hopping. Cheers!
@@PartyTimeBrewing I can report, it came out mint! Added 50g of galaxy hops in for the last 2 days before kegging and I couldn't be much happier. Going to tweak the process a little on the next run and try some Citra as well, but it definitely was really easy to get a great result. 😉👍
welcome back from the break! missed your stuff.
It's only been a year... It's good to be back! Assuming I can use this as some sort of momentum to keep it going! Cheers!
Thanks! I was really worried the print would come off if licked
Glad I saved you the time trying! Cheers!
are dates/batches a requirement on each can in order to distribute?
For sure if it goes to the provincial distributor. Not exactly sure when it doesn't. There seems to be many that don't, but I think it is supposed to be there due to traceability requirements. (Really clear answer...)
Does it print on skin?
I've done extensive research and haven't come to a definitive answer. I should probably just try it on my face. Also, since you're a security expert, should I plug the provided usb drive in my computer...
@@PartyTimeBrewing I would plug it into a linux machine that is not connected to the internet and run malware detection on it. even then, I wouldn't trust that usb or linux machine on my network.
Good seeing you
Cheers Curt!
Awesome. So cool that you distribute locally
For sure! Cheers!
I enjoy that it passed the lick test
It's one of the more overlooked tests when it comes to quality! Cheers!
🤘🤘🤘
🤘🤘🤘Cheers!
How do I order a hat!! Brother Robin has one and I’m jealous.

There's some quick oats in there! Cheers!
