    It's great to see brewing mistakes. We learn more from them vs the Martha Stewart brewers. 🍻

    Omg, great brew day and beer review! Loved the thoughts (especially the blah blah blah, lol) you had on how you might try improving the beer with different ingredients.

    My DIPA's usually consist of 5 kg pilsner, 2 kg oats and roughly 600gr of hops for a 22 liter batch.

    Love seeing you trying out a recipe and finding ways to improve. But maybe adding uncrushed grains could be the secret sauce to success? haha

      Not a bad idea. No crush DIPA, ten times the grain, same times the taste!

      Sounds like a plan. I'm not sold on mash hopping yet (have only done it twice), but haven't really run any comparisons yet, so it's not yet off the table. Cheers!

    Cascade and Galaxy was the hop combo in my first beer that made me go "Damn! I'd pay money for that at a brewery."

    • @PartyTimeBrewing
      @PartyTimeBrewing  Před rokem

      It definitely has potential. I either need to up the aroma or add a bit of malt to balance the bitterness. Cheers!

    • @pmhartel
      @pmhartel Před rokem

      @@PartyTimeBrewing looking back at my recipe I say up the aroma by moving hops later in the boil. I had 3oz of Cascade at 20, 2oz Galaxy whirlpool, and 2oz Galaxy dry hop.

    Did you dry hop at all?
    magnum can really go in anytime before the boil.
    I think the colour was very nice.

      Of course, just need to get better at covering everything in the video.... About 4.3g/litre. I'll up it next time!

    Looked nice, and I scored some Hop Head yeast a little while back but haven't brewed with it. What do you think about the yeast? Also, the BIAB looked like a pair of ball sacks, just saying...Like it was an Easter Egg in the video to make you laugh. Great job!

    Nice video- it’s great learnings. Dude, did you brew in that 9L keg? Must have been under pressure. I’ve brewed in a corny but I’d like to see more about what you did here. I’m thinking about buying a KL 9L. Thank you.

    • @PartyTimeBrewing
      @PartyTimeBrewing  Před rokem +1

      I did brew in it. They clean super easy and I used the sounding valve, only 5 psi or so though. Within the next 2 or 3 weeks I'll do a vid on these kegs, they're worth it for sure at 10ish or 30 with the posts and pressure valve. Cheers!
