Hi everyone! My name is Mike. I've been working on bikes and been a part of the riding community for over 20 years. I've enjoyed sharing my knowledge and helping people become more mechanically proficient. Over the past couple decades, I've had every job in the industry you could imagine. I've been a control rider with a couple track day organizations, I've taught Level 1 & 2 Total Control and I own my own motorcycle repair shop. I'm eager to share my knowledge and techniques with everyone to help them on their mechanical journey. Stay tuned!

Do you happen to have the links for both kits? Wanna do that for my 2015 700! Thanks so much! Love your channel!
I apply some silicone lube around the fork tubes with cloth, then I compress the forks a couple of times which pushes the dirt out and wipe it off with dry cloth.
My poor rear tire is a slick and my front tire looks like a dry lake bed.
After I had my front tire changed out I put my wheel back on and now when I hit the front brakes I get a pulsing feel like it grabs for a half second then lessens for a half second. Any idea what it could be? Maybe my brake pads aren’t set right?
Anyone else have an issue where the midpipe fits too loose on the y/splitter? It’s not on backwards, everything lines up properly but no matter how tight I get that clamp the midpipe is loose on the splitter. Far too loose for provided firegum/rtv to make up for the gap. Worried I might’ve got a wrong/defective part
No more running lose chains
Whole new motor...or just the clutch cover 😂
That's what I was thinking, those cases can be replaced
What kind of bike is it?
Cracked the case on my 400ex. I run a chain saver now.
It looks like the links of the chain further down are kinked up to like it has not been properly lubricated and cleaned either.
They're not called "case savers" for nothing.
My bike just did the same thing
How did you remove the pin that comes stuck under the footpeg I always scrape in the twistys
it should unscrew
@@motomecha530 I tried unscrewing it but I couldn’t get it off it’s on there pretty good 😂😂
Milwaukee all day in power tools
My bolt that attaches it to the frame is completely rusted its like the bolt and the threads on the frame have rusted together
Can you use this style on 530 chain? I'm not sure what size chain you were working with in this video.
The larger diameter o ring that is thinner, what does it go to? I notice you didn't use it. Is it for a different setup? Perhaps the o ring it replaced wasn't bad and so you just didn't put the new one in? I can't find any information from they who sell the rebuild kits, as to what the parts are to where they go. Awesome video! Very helpful, Thank you so much.
Awesome dude! Congrats on the upgrade!
Will more clutch freeplay reduce mileage?
Sorry to say someone gave me a set. The didn’t last 6 months. Floppy
Hi, I just got my ninja 400. Is there any other maintenance I should look for besides oil changes, and cleaning of the chain
1,6 mm mindest Profiltiefe.
I would like to see a dino before and after.
I have a 2012 fz8 that i dropped need new but cant figure out how to replace pegs
My owners manual says 10 years
Do you have to take the tank off
absolutely not, it just makes it a little easier but not worth it in my opinion...mechanics like to do a lot of "extra work" just for the actual job to be even slightly easier cause they can bill the "extra work" from the customer...
It's amazing all the money we spend on gear and the thought that goes into buying tires but we never even think of suspension.
Just changed my back tire this afternoon... what a lovely pain in the ass it was
Do conventional motorcycles have 100k mile lifespan? Or is this number over zealous? I mean just with regular oil changes.
I jus had my clutch changed on my 04 gsxr 1000 and I'm trying to adjust my clutch lever..i dnt like mine loose but are u saying it has to be so its not disengaging the clutch or so it will I mean..I'm confused lol
Bet this makes it harder to slide your foot position around.
It actually blew me away how powerful these 14.5 impacts are I changed 2, 7 speed Eaton procision transmissions over the past two with this impact, never let me down once.
did you use any jointing compound or anything in the joints or did they fit well enough not to have any leaks?
Same brother suspension mechanic couldn't do my job efficiently without it ❤️
Very helpful
Super cool super super.
how did you remove that mddle bushing
I got both sizes of them needles noise they’re good pliers don’t get me wrong but regular snap on needles noise I like better but besides my cobras and my adjustable pliers wrench all my pliers are snap on knipex and snap on by far makes the best pliers
Hey this worked for me, thank you for posting! (I used one of my old bushings as a buffer between the steel exhaust extension/slide hammer and the new bushing to help reduce potential of damage to the new bushing) Great find!
how often should the caliper, rotor, and pads be changed? i just did my 10k service and the dealer says the rear brakes are worn and i don't have brakes so they wouldn't let me leave with my bike. i've been upsold almost 2k for everything and it sucks that i didn't know better. any input helps
Is it a good tool?
Brother, best instructional video I have ever watched. Just bought a 24' mt07 and I'm currently searching exhaust options.
E to 5 was debunked. Manufacturers say 10 years. And it was tested with a "fresh" set of tires and A 7 year set of tires and both performed exactly the same
I have one 3/4" wrench from that set. I have literally beat the balls off that wrench ove the last 10 years. A bunch of times i put a helper pipe and put a ridiculous amount of torque on it. That wrench is still working great to this day.
Do both axle bolts need to be loosened ? Every video I watch only shows the side of the chain being loosened but lockouts are loosened on both sides
My bike I recently picked up had 12 year old tires. They were sketchy. They had poor traction and were weather cracked and about done.
Great vid, thanks for all the little detail. I would totally trust you to work on my bike.
You don't have to replace if you get a puncture it depends on the severity & location but more often than not it can get successfully be plugged/repaired, 2) just go off the wear indicators don't over complicated it
THANK YOU!!! ran over a staple on my mt 03, bought a tire repair kit and its been running fine!
For the price of the chain tool it should also measure would be nice to see real time as you tighten link down
