Welcome to Forgotten Player Profiles! FPP is a channel that looks at sports players who, for one reason or another, are not talked about as much as they should be. These could be great role players, players with short runs or exceptional players of their era, but who were overshadowed by the legends of their era. FPP will look at each player's career chronologically to give viewers an in depth knowledge of how their career's played out. FPP hopes for viewers to either learn something new or take a trip down memory lane. Hope you enjoy!

Billy Sims: If this STAR HALFBACK doesn't get injured, The Lions NEVER DRAFT BARRY SANDERS?? | FPP
He was the Detroit Lions saviour at Running back before Barry Sanders. Billy Sims was one of the greatest college running backs of all time as his final two years with the Barry Switzer led Oklahoma Sooners, saw him put up some absurd numbers while winning the 1978 Heisman Trophy. He was the top prospect coming out of college and would be selected first overall by the Detroit Lions in 1980 NFL Draft. Over the next 4 years with Detroit, Sims would win offensive rookie of the year, be voted to three pro bowls, two All-Pro teams and would lead the league in touchdowns as a rookie, He could do it all with the football whether you wanted Power or Finesse and after playing in the run heavy wishbone offense during college, he showed he was an exceptional receiver in the NFL, he would have an incredible performance in the 1983 Playoffs vs. the San Francisco 49ers and seemed to be at the top of his game, but less than a year later, his career was over after suffering a terrible knee injury midway through the 1984 season, So Billy Sims gave fans a short sample size, and wasn’t playing for the league’s most popular team. But in his 4 and a half seasons, he was one of the best and on his way to a Hall of Fame Career; and even though no one can compare to Barry Sanders; if Billy Sims stays healthy, Sanders would have had to put together his hall of fame career on a different team.

Jay Williams: This DUKE LEGEND was the BIGGEST Chicago Bulls “What if”… Until Derrick Rose | FPP
zhlédnutí 17KPřed měsícem
He is one of the greatest Duke Blue Devils of all time, and one of the greatest NCAA point guards of all time. Jay Williams played three years for the Duke Blue Devils as one of the only freshman point guards to start for coach K. He would team with future NBA talent like Shane Battier, Carlos Boozer, Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Chris Duhon during his time at Duke. He would win three ACC tournament t...
Billy Owens: The Career of the Man who INSPIRED KEVIN DURANT’S GAME | FPP
zhlédnutí 26KPřed měsícem
He has the unfortunate distinction of being best remembered as the player Don Nelson traded Mitch Richmond for when he broke up Golden State’s RUN TMC Trio, and this kept a cloud over his head during his best years in the NBA, but Billy Owens was a rare talent especially in the era he came up in, but gets an unfair distinction as a bust. He was a Pennsylvania legend at Carlisle High School, the...
Earl Boykins: A BONAFIDE SCORER! The Career of the 2nd Shortest Player in NBA HISTORY | FPP
zhlédnutí 11KPřed měsícem
Aside from the great Muggsy Bogues, Earl Boykins is the shortest player in NBA history. He wasn’t the muscular defensive hound that Bogues was, and he wasn’t the jumper that the 5’7” Spud Webb was, but the 5’5” 135 Pound Boykins was a scorer through and through. He was shifty and crafty with his footwork, and an expert at getting his defender off the balance or in the air; and possessed a respe...
Dajuan Wagner: The Camden Legend touted as THE NEXT ALLEN IVERSON… But his body FAILED HIM | FPP
zhlédnutí 12KPřed 2 měsíci
He is a legend in Camden, New Jersey; he was nothing short of a phenom during his high school career with the Camden Panthers. He left the school after his 2001 senior season as the highest scoring player in New Jersey State history, and in his senior year had done the improbable, as he scored 100 points in a single game; as the best moment of a career filled with high scoring. He would be the ...
Keith Van Horn: Were the Expectations TOO HIGH? Or was this #2 overall pick a SCAPEGOAT? | FPP
zhlédnutí 58KPřed 2 měsíci
He is arguably the greatest player in Utah Utes history. A four year starter, who as a freshman was one of the best players in the nation, he had some great years alongside Andre Miller and Michael Doleac as Utah had some success. Then when his 4 years were up, he was not only an NBA prospect, there was even chatter of him going #1, and he may have had it not been for a Wake Forest Power Forwar...

Wherever he played, he was a good player, but he would also often find himself overshadowed by the bigger name players. Michael Dickerson had a short career, but during that time showed how he could be an all around score and really primed to serve as a great and selfless player for years to come… He started with a stellar high school career which saw NBA Players like Ricky Pierce requesting to...

Ricky Davis: He thought LeBron James would be HIS SIDEKICK! The Career of Ricky Buckets | FPP
zhlédnutí 93KPřed 2 měsíci
He’s infamously known for his shot at his own basket in an attempt to get a triple double; he would routinely bust out 360 and between the legs dunks in games, and he never met a shot he didn’t like. Scoop Jackson compared him to Isaiah Rider, and like JR Rider, Ricky Davis had all the tools to be a great NBA player, but struggled with selfishness and immaturity early in his career. He played o...

Antawn Jamison: OVER 20,000 CAREER POINTS! But should he make the HALL OF FAME?? | FPP

He’s one of the least talked about great scorers of the 21st century and especially of the 2000s NBA, and at the time of writing this, he is one of two hall of fame eligible players (the other is Tom Chambers) with at least 20,000 Career points who has not been voted in. Ron Harper: He could have been MICHAEL JORDAN’S RIVAL… But instead became his Point Guard | FPP

Even though he came into the league a couple years later, Dennis Rodman once called Ron Harper “Michael Jordan before Michael Jordan”, that doesn’t make a lot of sense, but at the same the comparison was accurate. When you talk about some of the most athletic players in NBA history, his name doesn’t come up often, but Kenyon Martin is firmly in that conversation. He started making a name for himself as a defensive anchor with the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, until having a breakt...

Big Country was good for 4 years then he got fat😅😅
whatever noise was in the background made me turn this off. Irritating.
almost forgot about ricky davis. In my mind he and JR Smith was the same person
RIP Malik Sealy 5:22
Wow only 2 losing seasons? 🏆🏆
Very hard working player he was a beast
I completely forgot about Ricky Davis. He was definitely a scorer unfortunately he never saw a shot he didn't like.
PF OF THEN WOULD KILL TODAY 💯
IF YOUD PUT DUNCAN & GARNET GAME TOGETHER YOUD GET WALLACE GAME ‘ JUST MIGHT BE THE “BEST ALL AROUND BIG” TO PLAY.. HE EMBODIED THE PF POSITION ☝🏾💯
So sad he’s had to fight life long demons. 😢
K Mart was Dog He was 🔥🔥🔥🔥 in Jersey in Denver he was Good but injuries
Great video. You forggot to mentioned that Petro torn his knee few games after Anderson's injury. He return for the playoff's despite doctor's advice not to.
Houston wore #20 and was good for 20pts a night
Ricky Avis from the nbas Timberwolves? Fantastic player
BEFORE CURRY WAS AGENT O ☝🏾
He is in my book, A HALL OF FAMER.!!!!... he dunked on everyone, and made it more spectacular on the ones who stepped out to him..!!!!
this dude busts my ass at LA fitness every time I go
Great episode I had never heard of him before
Disrespectful as hell! Ricky Davis was him. He's not LeBron James, but he was better than most in the league and he could bust your azz for sure.
Thanks for the upload. I've always admired Tarpley and liked his play style. It's so sad that he couldn't live up to his potential.
Isaiah Thomas the little sawed-off overrated punk ran him out of Detroit I have always hated that little turd and as far as I'm concerned he wasn't qualified to be on the dream team and obviously Jordan and pippen agreed
He actually was skilled, not like Lebron...
The 1984 draft is the best draft in NBA history the 96 draft doesn't even come anywhere remotely close Bryant was never ever on Jordan's level
This dude was an absolute thief when he played for the Spurs and bucks
Them Coleman’s love alcohol
Why do we get these weirdos in the comments saying, "but what about this player or what about that player? You should have seen them!" We are not talking about those players, this is a video about Shawn Kemp so why bring up those other players like Stoudemire etc? Kemp was a beast in his own right and deserves to be remembered on his own along side The Glove if anyone.
MASON IS A RINGLESS THUG WHO WAS DESTROYED BY MICHAEL AND SCOTTY
Growing up in my hometown Seattle we had one of the greatest shooting tag team duos to ever be put together in Rashard Lewis and Ray Allen!! Before it was Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson it was a Allen and Lewis remember that!! The original splash brothers!!!
It's sad and ironic to see those highlights of Lewis against Drazen Petrovic at the end of the video...Both of them dying during the same summer of '93, only under 2 months apart from each other, during their primes, almost at the same age. Petrovic was a year older.
McDaniel was a fake tough guy Kevin Garnett before Kevin Garnett kind of nothing but a big bag of hot air
This dude was nothing more than a journeyman bum !!!!!
Grant's father played for the cowboys the browns and the Redskins Calvin Hill
Wallace was good but he was no damn Tim Duncan and neither was Kevin Garnett
Is T-Mac smoking crack these days is he forgetting all about Tim Duncan or what
I played against Rickey like 5-6 years ago let me tell you bro was Cold and I played him years after retirement lol. He gave me a bucket in every spot on the court
Bob Love!!!!
That Braves team was fun. You should do a profile on Ernie "No D" DiGregorio, their smallish, but exciting guard.
He was Kevin Durant BEFORE Kevin Durant!
Quick release around the basket
Thank you for the video! Alex English was one of the rare players who could score a "quiet" 30+ because he was the consummate team player who always let the game come to him. Great role model both on and off the court. The only attention he drew to himself was when he was making a play for his team. He was very efficient at saving his energy for creating positive results on the court. His mid-range jump shot was a thing of beauty and seemed almost unstoppable. He easily belongs on the NBA's 75 Greatest list.
Larry Johnson was something to watch man. The Grandmama commercial was top tier 😂. “There was an old lady that lived in a shoe”. That commercial was dope to me. The 90’s was a special time man.
If Grant Hill was LeBron James before LeBron James and Jordan and Pippen could really do nothing with him, how would they be able to do anything with the actual LeBron James?
A lot of people lost respect for this dude when he jumped on the Laker bandwagon
PJ’s coaching style led to his own issues. You are yelling/degrading a grown man. PJ deserved the a$$ kicking he got. I never felt sorry for him. Felt bad for Spree as they demonized him. In Minnesota…he was dealing with a very bad owner.
No way he should have been an All-Star more than Reggie Miller there's something wrong with that picture
Michael Jordan just tore Majerle up in the 93 finals especially in Game 4. Jordan blew past Majerle like 4 times in the 2nd quarter.
The Jason Kidd-Marbury trade really hurt Marbury's career and how he is remembered. The Nets improved like 30 games with basically the same team with Kidd in the lineup and made it to the finals in back to back years.
Grant Hill was top All-Star vote getter in his rookie year but he did not get more votes than Michael Jordan in 1994-5. Jordan was retired at the time and was not on the All-Star ballot.
Lebron nothing like Grant Hill whatsoever. Nowhere near as light on his feet, quick, shifty/stop on a dime, ball skill, attack mode
