Those "horror stories" are really rare and in comparison to other countries ČD is really great value for money, clean and punctual. Not always but almost always. I cannot complain a bit. Yes, I experienced once or twice like a big mess because of big delay but ... I mean... in 10 years twice a bad experience is drop in a bucket. Those big delays are mostly because of construction works which are necessary anyway and it then cause the whole system to make delays also around other corridors so ... understandable.

He may be thanked by Jewish and Israel now, but he never did it for them. He never did it for religion. In fact he wasn't a religious man. He did what he did as a 100% purely decent human being, who knew he had the drive and ability to help children, regardless of their background, colour or religion. In fact, the Jewish community questioned his want to help Jewish children and at first DEMANDED he ensure they are looked after by other jews. In a war where a religion is being persecuted, they still found it hard to accept the assistance from someone outside their community. I guess it may have been understandable given the repression they had and where getting, but i fear that many religions in the same circumstances today may still react the same. He deserves the additional recognition to those who also helped him, based on the fact that he never gave up. He faced Nazi enemies, British injustice, and religious distrust, but never gave up on the children and humanity in all of this.
