1. All fremen were tough, good combatants. It's a necessity of life. 20 years after the events of dune 2, desert fremen call the "city" fremen with the slightest lack of gaunt features, water fat. It's akin to being called morbidly obese and disgusting in today's standards. These were not soft people. 2. Sardukar lived an extremely similar life. Fremen or "free men" can trace their origins to the sardukar, except their lineage kept going settling on dune/arakis as a travelling "gypsy" like people. Their world is hellish in ways the desert is not, where as dune has changing waves of sand, the toxic, acidic rain constantly changes the surface, making permanent settlements a constant struggle. Being the emperor's blades and personal army, he can afford to home them anywhere but chooses to make them remain on the harsh planet to produce prodigious fighters, second only to the fremen. It's believe that whole the sardukar train amongst them selves brutally, with utter disregard for life theirs and others, a fremen fights to keep their lives and that of their people. Fighters on dune have a society built to uphold but not hand hold whereas the sardukar dealt with constant beatings, it's loyalty based on fear not honor. 3. Sword masters of ginaz have from repute and demonstration in the books to be THE best fighters, bar none, end speech. Lol. If a fremen warrior, of experience but not yet old aged, can manage 2 sardukar with good chances. A sword master of ginaz doesn't have a vs number. They are going to win until a comically rare mistake is made and they get wounded. They are human, they will tire, and die surrounded by a mound of bodies. A ginaz elite, with weapons, a shield, and preferably access to spice and they are the modern equivalent to a Terminator t-800.

The Fremen word for kangaroo mouse is “Muadib.” Paul took the name “Muadib” when he become one of the Fremen. So he asserts then and there that he is “Muadib”: the one who points the way.

Anyone else in love with the Monarch series shots? He’s always fighting or going towards something in the movies. But here, he’s getting out of the water, shifting his weight to stand up, swinging his tail, and making entrances and walking away. The shots just look amazing.
