I really liked the universe of The Callisto Protocol. Good plot, characters and especially the graphical component of the game. The voice acting, cutscenes and facial animation are simply one of the best.

Thia game was a fresh breath of air among all those repeating action shooter games.
I loved the Transmission/Riot Mode updates (It literally adds to more stories)
"Hard-Mode/Hard-Mode NG+" is a place where they couldn't finish the story 💀

i loved your edit. the redemption story made callisto a great game in my heart, making me like the story more than Dead Space as an original fan of Glen. eh made a great experience that i could enjoy a lot a show to my friends and they all liked The Callisto Protocol. Thanks for the redemption edit, it was great. it so rewatchable, the end is so sad.

@@crusade5886 i have a very important question: do you know a way to do free camera mod on TCP? i'd like to edit montages and get special angles in the game, which is usually restricted to playable sequences in 3rd person camera... i wondered if you had free camera mod when i saw this scene of jacob walking to the camera 8:00
Before starting this video, I was looking for such a mod, but as far as I know, free camera mod does not exist, unfortunately(

THIS is encapsulates it's everything I love about this game! Still, I stand behind it be a soild 7/10 that got WAY too much hate by people jumping on the "lets hate it for being too much like Dead Space but not be enough like Dead Space" band wagon. I played it on launch and had a BLAST with the combat despite it being SUPER repetitive at times, and not having nearly enough enemy variety ( Dont care if i sound cliché. Not saying there wasn't BS moments and glitches but MANY people just had skill issues. At the same time this is someone who's favorite game of all time is God Hand so what do I know? The melee focus is what TRULY got me interested gameplay wise, along with it being a spiritual successor to Dead Space ofc ) . The title felt super linear layout wise but had an AMAZING presentation that In design from environmental details the wonderful over the top death animation. I go on and on about the mechanics of the game but I want to focus on the story.
While the build up to the mystery of Black Iron was quite underwhelming and seen before, Characters like Farris not get enough development ( with him essentially being the secondary main antagonist to the warden ), and the secret society angle, a piece possibly left over from when the title was apart of the PUBG, could've CERTAINLY been handled better ( Like Jacob having to fight other humans, and the Biophage's fighting each other along side attacking Jacob to play into the battle royal ultimate life form theme ) the games STRONGEST part is themes of the story, and the path Jacob is on. ( Also I am DAM interested in learning the extended lore of the biophage, and where that giant creature the minor found came from )
Along with themes of corruption, genocide, and abuse of power the HEART of The Callisto Protocol's story is redemption. We don’t get to know much of who Jacob was before the story. What we do know however is that he is a fighter, a survivor, very smart, very resourceful, but VERY selfish. He'll do whatever it takes to assure he's own preservation. There lies he greatest enemy. Himself. He action not only ended the lives of SEVERAL innocent people, but he friend and partner, Max, and the young sister of Dani. On the box art you SEE guilt not fear in him. This is game about a man taking responsibility for his actions, standing against those who encouraged him to do so, and facing the evil brought on by said influencers.
This is one of the FEW stories that see the hero meeting a tragic end after doing their best in righting their wrongs rather then being rewarded and outright forgiven in the end. This is not to say Jacob Necessarily deserves his terrible fate that has befallen him ( lord knows I am incredible sad for him ) but it is refreshing to see a main character ending as bold as his. He succeeded in defeating Alpha Farris, thwarting the warden/ secret societies plans, saving Dani, and giving her enough evidence to HOPEFULLY bring justice to all that has been effect by the UJC sinister ways. But in the end, in cost Jacob his life. He didn’t die a quick and swift death NO he suffered! Worse then most main characters in horror. The last bit of solace he has is knowing he mentally escaped black iron. Just as Elias before him! Men who did bad going out trying to do good.

greatly explained, ive got insane nostalgia when thinking about the story, the death of the chracters, tho they were needed for the redemption arc to happen. i love the musics too, and the game has great near death sequences like the pipeslide that never fails to get my blood pumping literally go play The Callisto Protocol Contagion Mode no death run and you'll have the biggest scares and adrenaline. TCP is gory, incredibly fun and has a good gameplay loop even in riot mode. The locations are beautiful and are coupled with great music & setting.
My biggest disappointment is not this game its how much it was hated when it was, and it is still, deserving of love.
IMO its better than Dead Space in music, in death animations & gore, in graphics, in symbolism and as a whole with its DLC, many difficulty options and Riot Mode technically is a better package than Dead Space as whole which gets me mad cuz they selling TCP at gamestop and french "micromania's" for 15$ its crazy bro how much bs videos of haters were on youtube since launch, dead space ponies hating on Callisto and fumbling the bag and their reviews because of skill issue & lack of understanding and appreciation for the quality of the presentation of the experience. I'd play TCP 100x more than Dead Space even tho i love both of those games. And they still sayin DS is better.
FYI, The Callisto Protocol sold 3 times more, are you surprised?

I played the game and to me it wasn’t good. Personally I think it needed more world building better level design, more monster variety and better character development.

@@cappedminer369 the layout of the story and world building is literally what needed to be done to make it a great redemption story with lots of symbolism & great music. TCP is beyond gameplay. Its a memorable game that gets you hooked by it's presentation and saddened by the fate of its characters, who all redeem themselves in a place beyond despair.
@@Ririmo382 dude there’s so little world building other than bloody shit on the wall and audio logs just about people dying. The characters don’t have much depth to them, the game rehashes stuff from dead space and wants to be dead space so much and still became an inferior copy. It’s the fucking truth
