the villain in the marvels is not a true villain she is a religious zealot who fought to protect her planet from the one she called the annihilator.

I’m realizing they’re trying to thanos kang. He’s not a full on villain he’s not written to be one. He’s supposed to be bad guy that’s kinda right while high evolutionary is just straight evil.
This dude feels like a break, all the other villains tried to make you feel bad for them and give them reason for being evil. This dude has a reason for being evil, but he’s not making anyone feel bad for him

Honestly he’s not just well written but probably one of the best mcu villains In general and right up there with both Zemo and thanos. Mf was just straight cold. The line where he says “there is no god that’s why I stepped in!” Sent chills down my spine. A man who thinks he has a god complex is definitely one to be feared. It’s really sad how he feels more of threat than kang did honestly

What really made him great was how you could almost feel his insanity and narcissism. That scene where he screams "There is no God! That's why I had to step in." just really made me love him. It's interesting how he's an atheist with a god complex.

Since James Gunn confirmed that the High Evolutionary survived the events of Guardians 3, it would just be so cool to see him interact with Mister Sinister in the MCU's X-Men.
High Evolutionary, Kang and Dr. Doom team up would blow the cinema away.

@@jestbone89You say that like the Infinity Saga was all there was to the MCU. Newsflash: We have countless comic books to use as sources for movies and shows. They may vary in quality, but face it: the MCU won't be stopping anytime soon.
And James Gunn isn't the only good director out there. There are others that can do a good job. It doesn't always have to be the big names.
I think an X-Men movie directed by Neill Blomkamp would be very interesting.

@@axolotl1777 I may be one of the few people who enjoyed the show (although I admit that the finale was godawful), I would've preferred it if they didn't touch Secret Invasion as a storyline AT ALL! The original comic around this plot was convoluted enough and muddled many concurrently running stories, so I was always afraid for when the MCU might adapt it.
And this is not exclusive to the Secret Invasion story, but some comic stories are better left untouched and should never be adapted. I am so hoping that the horrible story arc surrounding Riri Williams in the Ironheart comics won't EVER make it into the show.
Also, Secret Wars is a movie, not a show.
The thing that made him the most terrifying to me is how violently insecure he was even though he considers himself a god. He absolutely loathed the fact that Rocket, an “imperfect” creation of his, could fix a problem better than he could. He didn’t just want the perfect species and perfect utopia to be created; he wanted it to be his personal crowning achievement. Anything or anyone who could possibly take a sliver of credit was a threat to him.
Bro was a great villain because that's all he was. He had no sob story, no alternate personality, none of that... bro was just cold and harsh and Chukwudi's execution was perfect.

"You win the crying awards", was some of the coldest villain dialogue ever.

High Evolutionary's face reveal at the end is a 'perfect' microcosm of the character throughout the movie (pun was intended). It showed how flawed, twisted, and mangled his view of reality is hidden behind a veneer of what he felt was perfection.

Not seen the movie yet but must admit that it's wonderful to see a third movie done right. Usually the third sucks but this has the best villain of all the movies.

I had not seen this one coming from you but damn you never disappoint! The High Evolutionary was an absolute phenomenal villain and you managed to create something here that truly captures the character, bravo!
His suit reminds me of Kang The Conquers. I think The High Evolutionary's suit is based on manipulating gravity as oppose to Kang's who's suit is more just high tech powerful energy manipulation.
I was thinking that too. More specifically, one of his variants, Scarlet Centurion. From the Council of Kangs mid credits scene of Quantumania. (Which, for the record, and don’t hold it against me; but I actually kind of enjoyed it.)
He doesn't have to be well written. There's been too much writing villains as misunderstood and having certain redeemable qualities. Its nice to have just an evil guy.

Correct me if im wrong Minus Thanos this is the guy we have seen cause the most on screen damage. I mean he straight up succeeds in destroying a planet in which no one was able to escape from. Probably billions lived on it.

The way he says bad things with a sweet voice while holds Rocket gently and then he desperately sweet talks him while treating physically bad confused Rocket so much, until he showed his true self and that's when he was sure that he was bad, even tho he suspected it since way before.
HE's narcissistic and obssesive, topped with some kind of sick parental figure behavior makes me so frustrated, it's very good writing (what I mean it's that he plays the role like a narcissistic parent, and with GOTG we saw different types of them: Ego, Thanos and now HE. Wich I think it's very interesting)

For me, Kang has the least impact in mcu. High Evolutionary can easily get into the top 5 mcu villains' list. That guy shot facts more than Kang shot lasers out of his hands.

I want him to come back, and I’m hoping that’s why they spared him(for now).
One of the biggest mistakes the MCU made after endgame was thinking they could do better by going bigger. Thanos snapping didn’t leave an impact on audiences because he wiped out half the universe. It made an impact because it killed half the heroes we’d rooted for for a decade.
What we need is villains and stories that make it personal.
Actually they won't kill him, but they don't have to save him just like batman did

And the thing about High Evolutionary is we saw his evil deeds on screen. Incinerating his ceeations that don't fit his needs and blew up a planet with it's inhabitants still on it. Gorr and Kang just say "we killed gods/Avengers" yet we don't see them doing the evil deed.
