Stephen Lang is one of the most talented and interesting actors. I really hope that his Quaritch character will start the path of redemption in the next films.

The best part of their relationship is how when they first met Quaritch immediately said that him and miles are not the same person and that he wasn't always the best father. This is his way of making up for his past life failures in parenting

i love how Quaritch realises that Spiders well being means more to him than his vendetta against Sully. This movie added so much depth to his character

He cares for Spider and keeps him safe in a way that Jake fails with his sons
Well, Jake has 4 kids to look after and a whole clan. Of course he can't protect them all and lead a war party. 🤦♂️

The complete change when you showed spider entering the scene. No, him being a father dosent make what hes done better, but his actions shows hes not the one sided villian we knew, hes now a conflict man in a new body, new world, and new Parenthood. He was honestly the only adult who didnt abondon spider when he found him
well said. I think Quaritch was always conflicted. He was embarrassed and maybe somewhat intimidated when he almost died on his first day on Pandora and developed a hatred for all life on the planet. But becoming a Navi, studying their ways and developing a relationship with Spider seems to have made a lasting impact on him
I loved the whole video, but the last section with Spider was particularly heartwrenching. Incredible work.

I've been calling it for years: this guy's gonna have such a huge redemption arc by the end of the franchise that he's going to make Anakin Skywalker look like a rookie. I hope we're going to find out what tragedies made him into the guy he became, and what he's willing to sacrifice to make things right. Even if it means knowing he'll never be appreciated for it. Seeing the bad guy doing the right thing is something that will really stick in people's heads long after it's all over. Awesome and well edited montage!
This represents so much of the cinematic experience in Avatar. Colonel Quaritch is a huge part of that and I'm so glad to see him portrayed in an edit. I love your content, Crusade! Keep doing what you love!

This was absolutely unbelievable I loved how you edited his character and mixing the two movies together flawlessly. Your choice of music was brilliant it suited his character perfect and made each scene more impactful especially that last sequence which you showed off his emotional side and fact wanted spider join him as his son can't wait to see who you do next because I'm sure it be another masterpiece like this one 💙

i feel like he has a lot of potential as a character. don't know if redemption is 100% possible for him but i can see him sacrificing himself for spider or even one of the sullies (imagine if it was for jake, that would be funny ngl).
i can see him being a morally gray character in the future. i heard cameron said that the old revenge quaritch arc will get boring for audiences and he's gonna become a more complex character. and that spider will be the one uniting jake and quartich?? i'm very intrigued on how is that going to happen because even though he didn't shoot neteyam (so many avatar fans think he did for some reason lmao), he was kinda responsible for it tbf
I don't think Quaritch is responsible for Neteam's death. The kid was the first to shoot at Lyle. As soon as you take up arms, you cease to be a civilian, regardless of age. Any military has the right to shoot you in self-defense. Сhildren would be safer without a gun. Unfortunately, boys were too young to make right decisions. The responsibility that Jake put on Neteam's shoulders was too much and unfair.
@@NK-fo3bo yea i get you but at the end of the day, quaritch lead the team, he took spider thus, in the film's finale, the kids were on the boat in the first place. if he was "sentenced", he would be just as guilty as lyle. he was the leader who had that beef with jake.
and don't get me wrong, quaritch is one of my fave characters in avatar 2. but he's still a villain. at least for now. if cameron does his character justice, i wouldn't mind a redemption/him becoming somewhat of an anti-hero

Honestly,I want to think that Quaritch is one true protagonist in the series not Jake and his family but him.I think in the next movie he becomes exile from both sides of conflict.Maybe even Eywa has plans on him and Grace’s daughter.Human in body Na’vi who’s want a protect humanity at any costs.

Colonel Quaritch is (in my opinion) one of the best science fiction villains, because it's just a good soldier and he do, what do good soldiers. It's unstopable in combat, even in his late 60s.

Excellent edit. Loved Quaritch's character. I really want to start seeing more of an understanding about the Human side of pandora in the next movie. I feel Avatar 1 was ver clear cut - evil humans and natives + 2 has laid a little bit of seed as to some of the more complex reasons behind humans coming to pandora. I really want to see a more dramatic / complicated side to the human motivations in 3 to make it a bit more interesting. I mean the fact that earths dying is quite an interesting premise + it would be good to see how bad things are getting on earth- provide a greater understanding and reason for more drastic action for the humans on pandora.

Racism is earned. No one just wakes up and says, "I'm going to hate blue people because they're blue." Quaritch was scarred by something when he got to Pandora. Thanks to his relationship with Spider, Quaritch is now showing his true colors.
