A grinder so fancy it has a pallet!!😅😅 after watching your other reveiw on this i think its gonna be comming to my home soon. I love this grinder
Great video, this helped me a lot
Sadly a very USA centric review!
What does that even mean?? I'm Canadian
@@LifestyleLab_ these machines are sold as Sage in some markets such as the UK, but sadly to people like you there isn’t a world outside north America. So i correct my previous comment to very North America centric!
@stevenajack so you're upset that I didn't call a machine with the word Breville on the front Sage? I've been doing this for 4 years now and you might win for the most sensitive comment I've seen
@@LifestyleLab_ no, that would be silly, but you might talk about how the machine is marketed around the world, just proves my point that frankly you are only interested in North America
@stevenajack I didn't specify at all where it was available... so you're just upset that I was physically in the USA while filming this?
Never again a Breville/Sage… our Oracle Touch did always break after the descaling process.. it seems to be a software problem and it has to go after warranty to service which iam paying my myself… the problem occurred also many times with warranty…
I'm lazy so instead of vacuuming the grounds out, I pulled the water tank and tray off, and just tipped the machine upside down to get the grounds out so that inner grinder could set back in. I was in a hurry and needed my coffee.
Decent is an astonishingly great machine.
I honestly hate mine. Seattle Coffee Works abandoned me and my machine lasted 6 months before it crapped out. Ive spent months trying to get a warranty return. Most expensive mistake ive made in years.
I can't get through the codes you enter
Thank you really appreciate your honest reviews.
Glad you find them helpful!
Is the boiler made of aluminum? Website says they used aluminum, stainless steel, and plastic. I tried contacting them but no answer. Trying to find out if the water comes in contact with aluminum...
This doesn't have any boiler, it's a heat on demand system
Does it work on S22 plus?
Try it
How much ? Does it make coffee ? Thank You . ☕️☕️🇺🇸🇨🇦✨✨✨
Price isn't announced yet Yes, you just watched it make coffee???
@@LifestyleLab_ Thanks - I use to be a lab tech in a coffee company in Toronto .
Nice !!🎉😊
What size screws are these, one of the screw heads from mine has gone? 😥
Bro... at this rate you might as well do a pour over.
Pour over and espresso are very different brew methods...
@@LifestyleLab_ Nespresso is NOT espresso. It's closer to a coffee machine.
@user-fx5sw4jy7hYz9Hzi I'm aware... Nespresso original is actually quite similar though. And producing espresso sized / style beverages. Not exactly sure what you're referring to when you broadly say a "coffee machine". These are all coffee machines, aha
@@LifestyleLab_ What I am trying to say is that with all that prep work and getting a coffee machine quality, it would be easier to do a pour over which is better quality coffee than these machine with that much prep work which defeats the purpose.
Yes and no. You're still comparing apples to oranges in that someone might want an espresso style shot over a full cup of coffee And 2. To do a pour over is more grind quality dependant than using a pressurized (single hole) system like this which works well enough with pre-ground coffee off the shelf. In the end, all down to preference, just do what you enjoy :) this is a good system for those who already own Nespresso, and just want to explore other coffees than those offered in the pods
I just ordered the diamond series and very excited!!!
In Germany they are simply named Gaggic classic EVO, I assume it’s the same machine, right? Do they only ship with 9 bar OPV in North America or Europe as well? Thanks!
I’m conflicted - it’s a much more palatable price now but do I really want my coffee this complicated?! I just don’t know as a normal guy I don’t really want bar graphs with data that eh not sure. Maybe a Black Friday deal for 200 I’ll bite maybe. I do respect the company for innovation however.
It's an odd machine because it's really aimed at ultimate simplicity. Tap a card, and brew. And once you have a recipe, that's all it is each morning! But under the hood there's also a lot of adjustability
What about using too little pressure would that be an issue? Because using less or more coffee changes everything!
Need to dose the appropriate volume for you basket :) 18g may not be the correct dose for every coffee, depending on roast level and origin the densities can vary drastically! If you're undertamping, you need to increase dose or get a smaller basket
Cant seems to get the descale mode. Tried pressing the two cup button and as soon as i press the power button the machine ja seems to js switch on and bck to the normal mode. Help needed here
I was one who wanted the manual controls from V1. While this has been made, i've come to realize my love for the ritual of brewing coffee. While this is a cool product, I enjoy the process if brewing. Dont want a machine taking that away.
Fair enough! I love taking it slow on weekends for the ritual. During the week when I'm in a rush the automation without a hit to quality is nice
This was a very well presented review
Glad it was helpful David!
Gevi is a con. They don't respond to customers and even when you check with their website for the grandmaster, you get a 404 error page.
I don't know what it is with this machine, but I keep going back to your review on this one.
It's a pretty looking one 👀 stayed on my counter for a good long while
Alexei Lives. The Regent Endures. There is Much to be done.
If I didn't have the time to prepare my own pour overs every day, I would probably go for this. At $450 for a pod system and $2-$3/pod, it seems a but high. But as a hybrid system this product will appeal to all sorts of people. But more than anything, I can easily imagine this product replacing the ubiquitous pre-ground pod systems out in the wild. It will be a huge success in boutique hotel rooms and "cool workplace" break rooms if xBloom finds the right partners to market and distribute it.
don't like the fact you have to wait to froth your milk... for my latte I know at 11 seconds of the brew I start my milk froth.. and then after that everything is timed perfectly from ejecting the grinds to putting tHe portafilte in the sink, back to the milk and pour ;).. I know it's just maybe 30 seconds... gotta cling on to every second ;) and honestly.. who the hell is complaining about the screen refresh rate ?? it's a coffee maker! :P
Still a dual heating version to come as a TRUE Oracle replacement :) Re: the screen, the internet complaints. I agree it's absurd, haha
Can someone confirm if I can use pre-ground coffee with this one? Also, can I make lattes and other regular coffee drinks?
Yes, if you want to use pre-ground coffee and put it straight in the portafilter, you don't need to use the grinder. However, if that's the case, I'd recommend you buy the Bambino Plus instead
Also another quick question, have you seen the white one yet? Thanks
Not in person, no. Although apparently the backsplash is glass which is a nice touch! The DOWNSIDE of the white is that because of the material the Omni dripper is made of, it can only be produced in black. Which sticks out like a sore thumb.
@@LifestyleLab_ Oh wow I just noticed that. Yeah strange. Thanks for responding so quick
Thanks for the review. I thought I noticed the early bird special was as low as 3 hundred something ?
Never been THAT low that I'm aware of. Check your local pricing with the link and discount code above
@@LifestyleLab_ Good to know. That may have been my eyes playing tricks on me. Currently its $449
This looks better than the old Oracle. That grinder looks like the money!
The reason they had to use an NFC card hack was because iPhones don't allow developers access to the NFC chip for no good reason. 😂 Seems like they took cues from Meticulous. If you are using your own beans and your own recipes it would be much better to put your money into a better grinder and kettle
Thank you for another superb review. I purchased the original XBloom on your recommendation. I would please like to ask you if the extraction is improved on the new model and did they remove that annoying fan sound? Hope you enjoy your day.
Thanks! The improvements made to the Omni Dripper design, and the fact that you could use your own brewer would be the only factors improving brew quality here vs the original. Otherwise it's the same pour, same temp stability, same grinder, and same fan volume
@@LifestyleLab_ thanks so much.
Good video
Quick and easy drip coffee
Why would anyone buy the original with all those improvements at a lower price point.
I guess just build quality? But I agree, I don't expect they'll continue the Original for long
Surprised there's no mention in the review of how the coffee tastes... So how do the results compare to a grinder/scale/kettle/brewer combo of equivalent cost? Cos I would be happy to pay a bit extra for the convenience, but if the grinder and brewer are trash and I'd need to keep using my own grinder, use a V60 with it etc for the best results, then it's just a fancy kettle... So any feedback on the brews you got with it?
Apologies for leaving this section out. As it was more of an "update on the original", I focused on covering the differences. The grinder in this is very capable, comparable to something from the likes of 1ZPresso. Brewing is also very comparable to a hand brew, especially now with the option to use any brewer of your choosing. This machine has several pouring patterns, and even a vibration function of the brewer to replicate the desired actions of the barista.
@@LifestyleLab_ Great - that's really helpful to understand - thanks!
@pb6010 we go into much more detail in this video on an early prototype. And there's on more video on the Final version on our page too :) czcams.com/video/tPxwC6yBE34/video.html
Now i dont know if i want this or the Fellow Aiden? Any preference?
Really depends on if you need to serve more than 1 or 2 people ever, and of course whether you have enough budget to get the Aiden AND a good grinder like the ODE
@LifestyleLab_ I like Aiden ability to batch brew but it not coming out till September. Also is not available on white yet. I do already have a grinder. Was just curious your opinion on both since they do kind of fall in the same category.
So easy and helpful!!!! I spent an hour trying to follow Nespresso’s confusing instructions 😵💫 thank you!
Wouldn’t it… just be easier to make your own pour over instead of managing something through every step of making it for you. I don’t get this machine at all. It looks cool but come on 😂
The idea behind the XBloom originally was to use it with their curated pods. The big advantage of this is that the roasters themselves program in the perfect grid size, pouring technique, and recipe, so that beginners don't need to dial in each coffee. In terms of managing at every step, like I mention I don't think many people will use it in that way either. But weighing out 15g and then hitting go and walking away is a nice convenience to have on busy mornings
Zp6 + kettle + hario for the win.
Great sounding setup!
The minus of the dual boiler is a no-go for me!
Keep in mind, there is a dual boiler version coming. This isn't meant to be an Oracle replacement, it's a new model in the lineup
@@LifestyleLab_ Good to know. I bought my Oracle bes980xl back in 2014, and I absolutely love it
Can’t recommend this video enough. No one online seems to explain it with this much detail or for this specific machine. Thanks!!!
coffe mechine expo not coffe expo 😂,,,
i seen no reason to own this. I'd rather just do the pour over myself, than pay extra to have a ugly machine do it for me.
Then you're clearly 🌈 not the target market 🌈
I don't know why these coffee hipsters are so obsessed with lighter and lighter roasts. It's getting to the point where they're starting to taste more like tea. I'm getting the feeling this brewer was built with lighter roasts in mind. I'll stick with my $180 bonavita 8 cup and medium roast coffees.
People have different preferences in what they like. That doesn't inherently make one better than the other, it just means they're different. The only point Nick is making in this video is that lighter roasts are typically more difficult to extract. Being able to accomplish that for both small and large batches is impressive. That doesn't mean it won't be good for darker roasts. Dial in accordingly to your coffee.
How many grands is that
Catch cup lid still fits a little funky
Hmmmm, this one looks clunky and with the plastic build, cheaper version to the original. So now they added a scale, bfd most of us already has a scale, so they added buttons to use, so what most of us will us the app anyway. Same small water tank and so what you can stick a water bottle to it, on my counter, no thanks. Sleeker accessories, bfd, the original looks better and is a better build, nice try xbloom but not for me. Remember a sequel is usually worse then the original as in this case...... Curious as to what the retail price will be...
Watching you talk about these are nice. But an ASMR step by step no instruction video would be sick for each machine. Maybe in the shorts format.
Always something I've intended on doing, never something I've found time to actually do. But I'll get there!
So glad I ended up not buying a used 1st gen!
