These are the two BEST single dosing hoppers we've found for the Breville lineup of espresso machines including the Barista Pro, Barista Touch, Barista Express ...etc. Single dosing on Breville machines is a great way to improve consistency and shot quality by having more consistent doses, and eliminating stale coffee buildup in the grinding chamber. These two single dose hoppers are both GREAT ways to achieve this at relatively low cost!

I went with the FusedLine one for the slim look on my Barista Pro and it's great. Retention is basically 0. Very worth it, your videos inspired me!
I got both lol. At first went with the $12 one, but I found that the FusedLine one sits a bit deeper than the stock hopper so less beans were sitting in the crevices around the outer burr and more beans actually made it into the grinder. They are both great though!
Good Stuff, always fun and informative, thank you
Thanks for passing along this gizmo add on.
I like it!!
Just what I needed! Been looking for the best options for this. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Are you going to do a video on Breville adding Baratza burr grinders to the built in grinder on the Barista Pro?
I saw the FusedLine in the thumbnail and had to click. Told my wife that is what I wanted for xmas a few days ago so I'm looking forward to it.
Nice! Definitely makes a great gift
can u make a video reviewing the GEMILAI CRM 3145 plsssssss. Btw, i love your vids man, super helpful
Thank you! Just ordered mine. Saw the last video and loved it but they were too expensive to pull the trigger on it.
Agreed, they were a little crazy at first. Glad to see more reasonable (and better looking) options now available!
That editing thou. Switching from my Sage Barista to a Gevi Grindmaster and Decent in the next months
Holy upgrade!
I’ve got myself a barista touch impress a couple of months ago and I am trying to grind single doses with it almost since the beginning. Since doing so I’ve noticed a huge increase in grind time to achieve 18g. I am almost sure it’s because of the “popcorning effect”, because I cleaned the grinder several times and changed the inner burr but nothing changed. Also the quality of the grind hasn’t changed at all and the burrs itself do not show any signs of damage.
Have you seen similar results on your machines (BBE or with the new touch impress)?
And secondly do those gadgets fit on the touch impress as well?
Thanks in advance. :)
Great video. How about compatibility with the touch impress? Does the hopper just look differently? I assume the more expensive one should work at least.
I have the cheaper one of these two options which does not fit the touch impress in the conventional way but as it's made of silicone. It can be stretched over the open hopper lip (see picture linked below) by pulling it up & over from the bottom of the original hopper to fit. You will however lose the first lower ring of the bellow as that ring will now be used to secure the single dose bellow to the hopper. i.postimg.cc/fWXBnTh9/20231128-092850.jpg
Just tested, and the first option does fit on the touch impress
Wondering the same as 2 others. I have the stand alone sage/breville grinder. The bigger bellows must work as im sure its the same hopper but id like the smaller one as much neater.
Just tested, and the first option does work on the smart grinder pro
I actually picked up the bellows attachment a few weeks ago. I noticed that when using for pourover, the brew takes 30 sec to a min longer than usual. I think it's because the bellows force out some additional fines that normally cling to the innards of the grinder and those fines are clogging up the coffee bed.
The build in grinder is definitely far from ideal for anything other than espresso. Your thoughts are spot on
@@LifestyleLab_ Should have clarified that I'm using it on a Smart Grinder Pro, which has the same hopper diameter
Same burr set, just different gearing
Does the bigger option get stuck on the lid? I’ve seen that mentioned a few times in reviews.
Not stuck, but you do need two hands to separate it so that you don’t pull it off the rim of the hopper instead of removing the lid from the bellows by accident
are these compatible with standalone breville grinders, like the dose control pro?
I only have the smart grinder pro to test on. And it does work on that. Can’t comment on the dose control.
Are there any single does hoppers available for the Barista Touch impress? it has a slighly larger hopper than the other older models at 350 gr bean capacity.
The first option in this video will fit the barista touch impress. I just tested it.
@@LifestyleLab_ Yea thanks for the update, I messages the makers & they also just confirmed that the Fuseline hopper will fit. I even managed to get the AIEVE Single Dose Hopper to work of sorts - i.postimg.cc/fWXBnTh9/20231128-092850.jpg
In the UK, that first product is showing on Amazon for £54. That seems crazy expensive for 3D printed plastic. £20, maybe £25 at a push, and I’d pull the trigger.
Not the price I’m basing this video off of. Cheaper in North America.
Is the purpose to not have the big hopper sticking out of the top, and then drop just the right amount of 18-19 grams of beans at a time into the grinder, and then push the grounds through?
Correct. Avoids having stale grounds in your shot, and is more accurate dosing
Can I use the Option 2? But, im not going to single dose?
Sure! Just don't fill it too high so you can't bellow
So I’m confused, it’s a single dose, is that a single shot or can you use it for a double shot? Sorry I probably sound dumb 😂
Single dose meaning one drink at a time, this could be a 9 g single shot or an 18 g double shot or even a large batch for brewing!
Ah ok thank you.
Thanks for the video but as someone who has never looked into single dosing hoppers I would have liked if you showed them in action. I can't visualize how you'd get your beans into the hopper each time you want to grind
Same as the normal hopper, just lift the lid and close back down :)
@@LifestyleLab_ thanks! I didn't recognize that these had a lid that could open without removing the whole thing
On the first one, you just lift the bellows up as you can see in the installation clip. On the second one, the lid is the original lid from the stock hopper
@@LifestyleLab_ I like the one with the removable lid! I appreciate you taking the time to explain it to me.
Just a question, what do you think about using one of these with a Breville Touch Impress? If my goal was not as much to make sure my doses are accurate to the 0.5g but rather to blow the remaining grounds out of the grinder to get both freshness and accurate grind size while dialling in, do you think it would still work with a hopper loaded with beans?
@ARZSZN I was actually thinking this as an alternative use case. The one thing you’d want to do would be experiment with tamping before and then again after using the bellow vs just after using the bellows.
3D Printed is not a product, it's a prototype. Companies need to learn this and sell me with a finished design.
Sure, but it’ll cost you twice as much. That okay?
Do you know how much initial investment is needed to create an injection moulding cast / production?
Why is the audio so badly synchronised...
Must be your computer or speaker
Yeah, it's your setup. I don't have any issues.
you should show how it workkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkks
Should know how what works??
