    Basterebbe (chiaramente non è un impresa da poco a prescindere, senza contare il fare le cose "all'italiana" tra ammiocugginate, ritardi e mazzette varie) come da anni sostengo che si facesse un raccordo ferroviario simile al GRA composto da metropolitane che andasse a coniugare metro A e metro B, connettendo Anagnina con Laurentina (pezzo più trafficato del GRA in assoluto), poi Laurentina con Battistini (zona meno soggetta a traffico ma comunque composta da zone importanti come Boccea), poi Battistini con Rebibbia (altra zona parecchio ingombrata di auto specie le zone di Cassia e Flaminia) e chiudendo il giro nuovamente con Anagnina, passando vicino o parallelamente alla Togliatti magari ed intersecando la Metro C a Mirti o più fuori magari verso Torrenova. Si svuoterebbe mezzo raccordo nei punti più intasati ed eviterebbe a TANTISSIMA gente di dover essere forzata a passare per la stazione Termini volenti o nolenti, snellendo parecchio anche il traffico di persone interno a quest'ultima, che ricordiamo essere la stazione ferroviaria più grande d'europa, in cui i pendolari romani (tra cui anche il sottoscritto) sono solo di impiccio ai viaggiatori di Trenitalia. Da ignorante del settore ad istinto mi viene tuttavia intuitivo pensare che agire così perifericamente, anche con metro di superficie o sopraelevate (vedi il Minimetrò a Perugia, grande opera ingegneristica ed estremamente funzionale nonché dal basso costo manutentivo) andrebbe ad impattare pochissimo sulle tempistiche in quanto gli eventuali ritrovamenti archeologici dovuti agli scavi sarebbero estrememamente più limitati, specie rispetto alla nascente stazione a piazza Venezia. Con un intervento massivo del genere la città scorrerebbe una favola, si parcheggerebbe molto di più e via discorrendo. Non è un'ipotesi piccola, ma chi fa il pendolare a Roma, auto o mezzi pubblici che siano e specie chi viene da fuori sa benissimo com'è la situazione al momento attuale.

    I'm a railway geek from Osaka. Osaka Metro has recently upgraded the Chuo Line to the 400 series (nicknamed Spaceship) and renovated stations on the Midosuji Line in preparation for the Expo. However, the 20 series, 30000a series, and 400 series currently run on the Chuo Line, but the 20 series and 30000a series will disappear after the Expo, and the 400 series will become the main line.

    Really nice system, but I noticed it has pretty short station spacing on average that is far more common to see on surface running light rail systems. This is probably due to the dense urban fabric of Buenos Aires, but hopefully in the future when the system covers less dense regions, they can look at building a station every 1-1.5 km instead of every 400m-600m. I do also have to keep in mind that the city has a decent regional rail network with longer station spacing, but I still find the tight spacing of the metro fascinating.

      The short spacing is explained because originally the system was made for trams instead of full metro trains, basically they were just a expasion for the streetcars in the surface, Hope the info helps you :) (english is not my native language, sorry)

That sounds a lot like the case of the Yonge Subway in Toronto, which runs on the same special broad gauge as the streetcars and has has 300m - 400m station spacing in a U-shaped section downtown between Bloor and Front Street. This is because it originally functioned as a grade separated streetcar tunnel. The difference is that Toronto kept its streetcars and then expanded the subway to cover the suburbs, with 1km-3km station spacing. They also built a second line along Bloor street to interface with line 1 and the streetcar system. So currently, Toronto has 80km of Subway branching off into the suburbs as well as 80km of streetcars serving the central area of the city with similar coverage to the Buenos Aries Metro (albeit with slower speeds and less efficiency).

      As you said, Buenos Aires is a very dense city and the underground network hasn't reach less dense neighborhoods of the metropolitan area yet.

    I do think that not including transilien makes the network seems a bit inaccurate. For example, the south RER D is planned to be fused with a new line S to rely directly Gare du nord and Malherbes branch way faster than the current RER D forcing to take another train at Juvisy
