I run through the details of the RNVG-A. I didn’t cover IPD stops in this video. This goggle does not have IPD stops. The IPD stops can interfere with proper positioning due to this. By not having the IPD stops set yo...

Hey Will... Been a while since you made this video but very informative... I was wondering if you have had a chance to compare this unit with the N-Vision Nox 18. I see there are a few different features between the Two, but basically, I was interested to see if the Nox had better recognition distance than the Armasight ? It appears to be a significant difference and wondered if the extra is worth it. Having a small Thermal helmet mounted along with a Pvs-14 would help finding warm things before they find you...
can you still power the device on with just a singular pod attached?
Are you going to have the manual gain Dtnvs on or would that be redundant?
We do have the MG up on the TNVC website. I’ll do a video whenever I get a chance to spend some time with one. I’ve used it a little. I’m not a big fan of the knob as it doesn’t have much tension but once you get used it it vs say how an L3 31A knob works it’s no big deal
Can anyone confirm if this bridge is compatible with the AGM StingIR thermal? I presume some sort of adapter would be required to connect the mini-rail to the AGM.
New to night vision, will a thermal clip-on work just as well on the SG units? Specifically the JerryCE5 :)
I’ve used the ECOTI PAS-29B and the TAD and they work fine with SG. I’ve not used the CE5 so can’t say for certain since I haven’t done it but it should also be fine
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION Thanks (:
Great video!!
Which mount are you currently using for your personal setup?
Wilcox G24
Why would you need a laser at that point? Just get two of these, one zoomed out and the other zoomed all the way in.
Because this laser isn’t accurate enough to be a pointer. It’s not designed for it and the pointer cannot as small as a true pointer
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION Ah, I see. That is difficult to tell in the video because of how the tube is blooming. How big around is the narrow beam on a target, say, 25yds away? Also, does it hold zero, is that what you mean by not accurate enough?
@@stug77 I’ve never tried to use it as a weapon pointer but I’ve heard from others that it doesn’t hold zero. I don’t know the size at 25 but it’s much bigger than a normal pointer
This is by far the best dual tube housing out there. I wish we could by the NYX from Theon for custom builds…
Does the 1531 use the same “proprietary glass” as the 31A and GPNVG?
No. It uses basically PVS-14 optics
Hey nitewalker got a question for ya. What would be the best way to bridge mount a pvs 14 and a pvs 18 to make duals? After researching the only option i have found is the KVC bridge with the pvs 14 shoe and then a shoe that connects to the monocular lens and then mount those both to the kvc bridge. Any suggestions?
That combo isn’t going to work. The -18 is designed to basically have its own “j-arm” so to say meant to attach to a G24 without requiring a j-arm. So if you were to mount the -18 to a bridge with dovetail then it’s offset too far if that makes sense
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION ya that makes sense. Thats what i figured. I was hoping the new pano bridge with the dovetail adapter replacement on one side would make it work. The dovetail adapter does have ipd adjustment but probably not enough to fix how much offset is in the pvs 18
But this is Not the smart gain right? And the L3 hast more res
Man, you are really helping me out on this journey of researching night vision.
I have these. I got this from you guys. Have you noticed some play or rocking on the PVS side at the screw mount? I’m reluctant to really gorilla arm the screw in place. Would you recommend a touch of blue thread lock?
Don’t be afraid to give it a good turn with some leverage from a screwdriver. Don’t go crazy of course like your putting lug nuts on but that should do it.
Great product, but for the love of God quit smacking your lips
That’s how I talk so don’t watch if it bugs you that much to criticize me in the comments 🤷♂️
Would you recommend a tanto, pvs-14, or rvm-14 for bridging with a thermal? I like how much lighter the tanto and rvm-14 are than the pvs-14, but the tanto doesn't have manual gain and the rvm-14 seems like it would be harder to resell since it's so new?
I really like the RVM-14. I think you’d really like one if you saw it in person. Add RPO lenses and it’s really light and tough. I don’t think it’d be hard to sell but if you wanted duals they pair up nice
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION Do you think manual gain is important for bridging with a thermal? Or can you do without manual gain and use an adjustable iris?
@@musicman1eanda Monoculars should have manual gain. Not necessarily for the thermal but more so without the thermal it’s lets your brain use the image from your unaided eye. If the image is too bright your unaided eye basically turns off. Lower the gain and you start seeing a combined image from both eyes
@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION Never heard anyone mention combining the images better with an unaided eye. Thanks for the insight. Tanto was my #1 choice to save for, but now I'm leaning towards the rvm. I do need to be able to resell whatever mono I get.
Is this the same Elbit tube that is in the 31D?
No. The XLSH is a lower grade commercial tube that is essentially a “fall out” and doesn’t meet the requirements of even the higher grade commercial tubes. They are still good tubes but something is off with them which knocks them down to the XLSH grade. It could be spots, specs, or something else
I managed to build a monocular with 92° FOV. But it's rather big and heavy. Lightweight wide angle binoculars seem like the best compromise at the moment.
I’d like to check that out. Do you have a link to picture or anything?
Nice informative video - Thank You!
Thank you 🤙🏼
Love your stuff as always dude. Still saving for some nods in the future but that day will come. Thanks for the knowledge!

wonder if NoiseFighters will do a metal mount for thermals? I own all the mounts in poly, AX14, Pano 1st & 2nd gen & the mount for my NOX18 (forgot the name) and they have been fine once the 1st updates for the 1st gen came out. all the failure to stay tight issues went away with the washers and hardware updates. with the NOX arms the PanoBridge has been really nice to go dual spectrum with. great job laying out the options Will, thanks for your time.
The new M1 with the QD dovetail adapter shown in the video (it's also metal) will do the trick along with the fore-aft dovetail (also metal). You'll really like the M1. It's by far the best Panobridge and also my favorite. And thank you, sincerely appreciate it
Where can I buy that kind of battery pack?
If she takes good care of her feet then you know fo'sho she takin wonderful care of the poom poom !!
Do you prefer gen 2 green or gen 3 euro (blue)?
I prefer current US Gen 3 WP
But if it’s between specifically those two then green. I don’t particularly like the blue color of Photonis WP.
The 21’s look like a sad space invader.
I love my xlsh i will get an l3 one day soon though and kick the elbit to my gf and use the g.p 14 as a loaner
Is there a way to stop them from turning on when you stowe them at full articulation on top of the helmet? It seems like the magnet is sensing the steel in the G 24.
Somethings not right if it’s turning on when fully articulated. The pods are nowhere near the mount 🤷♂️
I’d get with the vendor you got them from about it
If you don't peel them all the way its fine but its something with the magnet sensor. I was hoping somebody else with a set had worked out a solution. Last thing you want is to open them too far and be burning battery while they're stowed
@@jalowery1246 no, haven’t come across that myself
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION I figured it out. There's magnets embedded in the dovetail side of the G24. No idea why they're there but if you hold a piece of steel near either of the squeeze tabs used to slide the nods in and out you'll notice the magnetic pull. Wierd...🤔
Does the KVC bridge setup have wiring to the G24 mount hinge to turn off the pvs14s when flipped up?
Photonis is not Gen 2. It’s not classified as a generation. If it was they would call their tubes Gen 2. They don’t. Get it right. You’re like the dumb people who think the day cap is for zeroing night vision during the day. They auto shut off. Y’all don’t have a clue
What helmet do you use to mount them?
Thanks
👍
Were is your shop???

Hey. Thanks for the video. With the mini rail adapter for maybe a Flir, does the new mini rail adapter cant the Flir Breach or does it help to keep it in a flat panoramic view?
When using a thermal you want the 0 degree lock bar so they’re straight and not panned
Where did you find the extended battery cap for the breach?
Did they ever release the lower cost ECOTI without all of the encrypted features that most of us don’t use?
ETA is this summer
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION Do you think the TAD will be better? Or just cheaper?
@@thegolflife7565 It will be better for the average user as it is lighter, smaller, and less expensive.
Supergain is definitely worth it. I was torn between Supergain and standard gain but i am definitely happy i forked out the extra beans for a high spec Supergain. My neighbor has a high spec standard gain device (2700 ish FOM with a SNR of 38 and EBI of .3) and even though my has a FOM of only 2502 (39.1 SNR .3 EBI 64 RES) it preforms better in low light and looks extraordinarily sharp. I think his gain is like 66k and mine is like 108k. I dont really understand how a brighter output effects the light input but all i can think of is that they are both taking in the same amount of light but the higher gain just means you can see it better. 🫶
64 vs 72 is honestly mostly a paper spec. The evaluator actually does it by eye and L3 doesn’t pick numbers in between like others do (IMHO those companies do it to put the FOM at a certain level if needed) so your 64 could really be a “70” for example. I love SuperGain tubes they really do perform better in low light. Glad to hear you like em!
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION yeah that's what CNV said about it as well. He told me it was listed as 64 but that L3 tends to lowball RES figures. The color of the tube threw me off at first but it quickly grew on me. I was expecting it to be tinted blue but the blue tint is almost non-existant. The tube basically looks black and white.
Thanks again for making these videos! Appreciate the help .. Armasight released a Firmware update #5067 for the Sidekick 640 , just downloaded and updated but havent had a chance to dig into it yet to see any changes
🤙🏼
Super informative. Thanks.
🤙🏼
Are they al sett to max gain ?
Yes, they were all at max gain
Great video! Thank you
🤙🏼
If you got a set for free, would you put them into another housing? Make 2 PVS-14’s or a more durable housing for on the ground
I’d use them until they broke (if you break them) and go from there
Nice job! Thank you
Great job and thank you for the time and effort to make this review. Very helpful! Nice job
Is there such a thing as a scope ring that is attached to a dovetail, in order to attach a round scope-like thermal to a bridge system and a G 24 helmet mount?
Not that I know of
What kind of degree do you need to get into this industry? Mechanical engineering? Physics?
Why do you prefer the RNVG over these?
The goggle I personally prefer is the Artemis in ANVS configuration. I’m a fan of the ANVS interface for its auto on/off function when stowed. I also prefer a fixed bridge for its reliable IPD spacing whenever I flip it down. I run it farther from me eyes which allows me to see under it just fine if I need to. With that said, articulating goggles are preferred by the majority of users, and I also like them.
@@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION well said, thanks for taking the time to reply
@@Grizzly_Bear2018 🤙🏼
How does the ravyn bridge compare to the knight bridge? Which do you prefer?
Try $4800. The L3H WP, and 0 blemishes make the worth of it though.
Would you say the mk3 negates the ability to fine tune a thermal to merge the image with your pvs14? Which one would you run for a dual band setup?
