    These things rule. The battery insert is great and you can remove and reinsert it yourself without taking the helmet off.

    MK1 got here today, love it. I found with DTNVS 3 weights and a battery tray full of 123's is just about perfect

    I can’t say for sure as I don’t have them, but I believe the original gpnvg 4 cell battery pack fits in the MK 1

      I don’t have one on hand to try but next time I’m around one I’ll give it a go. I’m pretty sure it won’t fit especially because of the battery pack connector protruding out the bottom. The MK3 is better because it clears the bottom so you can unplug it versus unplugging it at the goggle. If the goggle is staying on the helmet, I prefer unplugging the cable at the pack, as it dangles better there versus up front

      @@NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION it might work if you filp the battery so the plug runs through the top of the sleeve, but I can’t say it would work for sure

    Will the Velcro on my team windy helmet bump cover secure this?

    • @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION
      @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION  Před 7 měsíci +1

      It should. You may need to move it up a little so more of the velcro of the hawk part attaches to the loop on top

    Can you buy the lead weights separately?

    • @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION
      @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION  Před 2 lety +1

      We do not sell the weights by themselves because if we did they'd be sold out and we wouldn't have enough for the MK1s, lol.
      Depending on inventory, etc. we can sometimes add them to customer orders at TNVC on a case-by-case basis.

    Which one should I run with my rnvg?

    • @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION
      @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION  Před 9 měsíci +1

      MK1 if not using any battery pack. MK2 if using the ABNV LPBP-GO battery pack

  • @Slipknotfanatic89
    @Slipknotfanatic89 Před 2 lety +1

    How much weight does the Mk1 come with?

    • @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION
      @NITEWALKER-NIGHTVISION  Před 2 lety +1

      It comes with four lead weights and each lead strip weights about 2.9oz so just under 12oz. If you factor batteries in, the battery sleeve holds six batteries, energizer Lithium L91 AAs are 0.5oz and so are CR123As, so that's another +3oz.
      I personally recommend not accounting for batteries as necessary weight but rather as extra on top of the amount of weight that balances your helmet. This is because if you need to resupply batteries in a hurry, etc. you will likely not have time to reinsert it into the MK1, and if you're in a "situation" the last thing you want is to start having your nods droop on you.
