Paying for cosmetics suck and anyone who disagrees is just coping. Grow a spine and stop spending money on dumb bullshit, it wasn’t that long ago that you got cosmetics for just playing games at no extra cost.

The money they make off of hackers AND charging $250 for an edition makes microtransaction cosmetics gross. They already ask too much and milk their player base. Now, if they actually take steps to hardware ban cheaters AND reimplement tools they took away that were too effective at removing cheaters, it would be more acceptable. At the moment, they absolutely are milking cheaters for cash and its not okay.

It really is too bad more people can’t enjoy PvE. I suck at Tarkov normally and usually burn out around level 20-23 which takes me a 3rd if the wipe. Thanks to PvE I’m level 31, have most of my stuff in the hideout built minus the air filter, solar power, and just haven’t maxed the shooting range weapon display and trophy case since there just money sinks and I haven’t gotten the BTC farm maxed since I just got my 10th GPU. It’s only been like a month since PvE came out and it doesn’t wipe from my understanding so I’ll actually be able to go for Kappa.

To be fair, a LOT of this is for balancing. They need to balance some things and real life isnt balanced. Particularly, it would be busted if you could black a limb with one melee swing. They already overcharge for everything they will continue to do so if they want to monitize the game they need to chamge the formula completely and if they did the game would die. They are better off overcharging at this point and they know it. PS tarkov cant just sell camos because they are copyright and bsg would get sued over it they need to design thier own camos or just make more generic civi clothes

There are so many types of camouflage and uniform patterns. I totally would love to have more choice on what to wear. The reason I didn't buy any of the avaible stuff was that in my opinion that none of it looked good.

I Will say this, there is velcro on some helmets... So maybe give us some airsoft-esque decorations for them (or maybe just the TK Fast Mt to give it more of a "use" that can be paid for in-game via flea, or when bought from BSG free from a trader. That should be the extent of the "realism breaking" because well, these things exist, people buy them and put them on their airsoft gear irl. If they were semi expensive and maybe 1x2 slots max, it would also be another decently valued set of items to sell on flea, or if you wanna go full drip to buy off of flea. (Like the ears on Team Wendy and Fast MT Helmets cus they barely help more than they ruin your hearing).
