Even if they don't add full on custom kits using a tiered money system like people want, they could at least give some small options like weapon attachments. The best really would be tier 1 has access to tier 1 trader items and something like ~100,000ru for a kit. This increasing up to tier 3 where you get access to full trader items and ~500,000ru or something like that. Haven't played in a bit not sure if those budgets would work but you get the idea.

Nah. With the changes to recoil, attachment variety would be there. Plus does it matter if everyone uses common shit? We use THE SAME SHIT NOW, as we are locked into tiers and limited to the same presets. Customization is the HALLMARK of EFT, to not have it here... makes ZERO SENSE. Weird L take. @@maplegumm
@@fubarexress6359 Your using the same shit but a team can only use one of each preset. You can’t do that with attachments especially. Additionally having presets allows BSG to balance them out more instead of trying to balance every gun for what ammo it’s compatible with or attachment as well as gear. It’s fine in EFT where you don’t have to as it’s a free for all and you use the best gear you find and that’s that, but in Arena it’s literally just people getting the same exact copy of gear that their teammates have or opponent so they don’t lose the advantage. Like why would you choose a mp-153 with 7mm buck with a beanie when you can just use G36/RRLP with a Tor?
It would just devolve back into pre-balance Arena.

@@Brzzzyexe Okay so say I’d say that the most “meta” kit right now is Diesel in CQB with the G36, as despite it having having shit RRLP it can reliability kill at range, he also has only level 3 armor and a face mask that can only stop SP8 at that tier. In the same category there is Murka who while having a lvl 3 face shield/helmet + lvl 4 armor AS well as a 133 with flechette, however the kit is limited by range as flechette has a very high damage drop off so you need to get up close to dish out dmg. Now let’s say that you can customize your kit, what’s stopping someone from running a tor + lvl 4 armor + G36 effectively making it one of the strongest kits in the game at low tiers.

Armpits are almost gone in latest Tarkov patch. Overall, they decreased randomness by making ears, armpit zones, etc smaller
More variety in objectives, like plant/defuse bombs or CTF as well as larger maps with more players and longer rounds would be huge.
Also just a casual mode that allows custom kits
Murka in the CQB tree is Free and comes with Flechette, makes the 133 feel devious

I like EFT armor system in arena, it adds more weak spots for classes like Butcher (u have a chanse to 1 shot kill him to the neck f. egz.) so u always have a chance to hit that weak spot face to face and win gunfight. Earlier if you had bad or flesh bullets u just die no way of killing them.
Exactly, the people who whine about it are people that rely on armor to win fights so they whinr that they cant be invincible to lower levels anymore

Nothing. It does everything worse. Only thing it's good for is as a practice tool for tarkov. But it fails even at that

It still needs more work but gotta give it to them they fixed alot of the flaws, what i have in mind is that they should implement special quests in the vanilla tarkov that tells you to go arena. It will have different rules ( no time limit or cleaning crew ) and it will rewards you with loot to use it in the vanilla.

Im calling that they make cooldowns for nades at the start of rounds in the future. They already took away so many of them so i bet they will do it again but more aggressively

With less downtime and a few QoL improvements it could be a pretty good time waster while you're waiting for dawn/dusk to transition in base tarkov.

You don’t have to use a kit from the same tree to gain xp. You can use any kit from any tier from any tree
You do if you want to research that tree, you have to use the same tree kits
You cant use a sniper kit to research a CQB kit
I had to skip the "rant" about the armor part. I can not hear it anymore. Modular armor is such cool system because you can hit and kill guys by shooting the "weakspots" the armor does not cover. Like in fucking real life, this is so fucking cool. I wish every milsim game has that. Except it is bugged or completely broken, then yeah this has to be fixed.

i think the armor systems should be the same across games, and if the new armor system apparently sucks in arena they can use that knowledge to fix it in both.

yea it might be bugged, because that has been my experience as well, ive been spamming cqb shotgun fleechete (murka) and unlocking the entire left tree since that and the piranha shotgun are the only remotely good starter kits.

I actually really like tht nade spot, not because I use it but I hate the modern obsession with everything having to be perfectly balanced and amazing designed. That nade shoukd be a consideration if you go that way.

Top 500 player opinion: This game launched on life support but its slowly coming back really glad to see it climbing out of the hole it was put in but i do think unrated needs to be a thing

But the desync and hit reg issues are still to much for me. Death cams need to show reality itself and not something that never happened on either screen.
I live on the outskirts of a big city and have fiber internet to my house with brand new Internet gear. I recently built my new PC on the upper high end of things. It's on a quality Ethernet connection with tests showing great numbers across the board.
My point is that I am a best-case scenario for eliminating any issues that are not related to the game itself and I'm experiencing some things that in my opinion make the game unplayable for me.
I can't trust my bullets.
I can't trust my peaks.
I can't trust that my character is even in the spot that I think my character is in on my screen.
I can't trust that the enemy is where the enemy is on my screen either.
Those are all fundamental things that need to be fixed before I can play the game.
But I am excited for the future!
Yep, hitreg feels off which is my main gripe. (Tarkov movement also feels clunky to me but that's a more minor thing.)
Another thing that I really want them to add is the EFT gun customisation and kit customisation. That's what EFT is all about.@@Maintenance_Mark

I still feel like teammates need to be more visible in arena.
If you only see the feet there is no way to see if it's a m8 or an enemy. Same if you only see the head.
At the time you try to find out if it's an enemy it's either you getting killed by an enemy or the guy in question via a team kill anyways.
If they ever add a 10v10 bearVusec faction gamemode, cool, im only really waiting to see if the overrun gamemode is any good.
i like the new presets and stuff , main complaint about arena that i've said from the start is the game modes are so boring like maybe the worst gamemode ive ever played in a competitive 5v5. Why isn't there the tried and true defusal mode? Also the one fun gamemode 2v2v2v2 or 3v3v3v3 arent even worth running from a grind/progression or even rank perspective because of how little return u get for winning for the amount of time it takes to complete the match. imo opinion they should just literally copy CS, why not? Would be so fun to have a 5v5 defusal/objective gamemode but tarkov

Personally I think if BSG wants to make a esport out of arena then they need to get rid of the loadout system they’ve made. I’d make it so players can create their own loadouts before a game, some with meta gear and others with basic kit. In game you have a buy system where depending on your Econ you can choose what kit to run for that round. If you die you lose that kit, but you move on with what you had the previous round. I’d also increase the game times to something closer to an esport

I have no idea why everyone hates the armor system as much as they do, and the idea that they'd make the two games so mechanically different that they'd have two different armor systems in it is absurd and I personally LOVE using flesh ammo instead of AP ammo and with the armor changes its FINALLY viable. 11pen ammo at 1100RPM is much better vs soft armor and actually viable, and I think the difference of having half the games ammo's literally being a joke VS having them actually be useful but everyone has to care about their positioning more than ever is a fair tradeoff. If anything just ask for old movement back instead of old armor back

I feel like they could learn from insurgency and add like a budget system or something. Spend too much on armor and you cant use the top quality of ammo, spend too much on ammo and you cant use top quality armor

Just one big issue still - Carrying your team with a 2-3 KD or more, but still managing to lose, still screws your rank... Gotta queue as at least a 3 man if you want to have any major hope of ranking up. Although that's also a less consequential thing so..

Arena would greatly profit from things like a HUD. Nothing too fancy... Just a hud that shows you, who is alive. Basically the display you get in every other E-Sport title. :D

it is better I have to admit, BUT having to grind out 5 tier 2 kits before being able to play tier 2 is insane to me and already killed the game for me , once you do unlock enough kits why would you even use the first 2 or 3 kits in said tier when you have the best kit in that tier unlocked? makes no sense. anyway that's my rant. love all the vids bro keep em coming!

They really should just let you pick which tier you want to queue in and then let you use any LOWER tier equipment. Sure, it would suck if your only tier 2 kit got taken, but at least you could play with 2 or 3 kits instead of needing to complete the tier basically.

with the unlocking 5 kits, they should just let you play the tier and if you don't have a tier 2 kit cos you only have 1 and it's been selected then that was your own fault.
BUT SOMEHOW NIKITA introduced more issues....tier system?! DOPE. wait ... I can't use the kit I just unlocked. I gotta unlock 4 MORE just to play the BETTER kit 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️😂😂😂 (also now the "good" kit in a tier with be instantly selected so u might NEVER play a kit before up tier)

I totally agree with your take on randomness in the game. The new armor system and the excessive amounts of aim punch and blur are fine in Tarkov, but in Arena those things should be left out. BSG are trying to make a competitive game, and in a good competitive game limiting the amount of randomness is a good thing. In a gun fight the one who out skilled their opponent should win, not win based on who won a coin flip. Great Video!

I don't like arena, I think it's mainly the fact that I'm really bad at it and I also insist on using bolt action rifles, I played it for a few days with 2 friends when arena came out and had just a miserable time of it, it's also the game mode tho, I just don't like the single life modes, I was under the impression that it was gonna be something like TDM where you can just push and have fun but it's more like CS and it that way I get it, it teaches you more important stuff than aiming like positioning, tactics and the importance of audio but I just don't have the patience for it
why the fuck do you insist on using a bolt action when most of the maps and the game itself calls for close quarters engagements
