SILENT NIGHT, HOLY NIGHT | NICOLAS BALDEYROU & RADIO FRANCE ALL STAR
Dear friends, I hope you're well!
đâš It's almost Christmas Eve, and I wanted to pay tribute with my orchestra friends and the young singers of @maitrisederadiofrance to the classic "Silent night, holy night", a song composed in Austria in the early 19th century. Legend has it that it was written by Joseph Mohr because the church organ was out of order, damaged by mice! He needed a song that could be played on the guitar. Since then, this universal song has become famous the world over, translated into over 300 languages and dialects, and since 2011 has even been recognized as UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage.
Have a wonderful holiday season and see you soon!

đâš Only one week left until Christmas! I'm so happy to present this second video produced in partnership with Radio France and its ensembles: the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Orchestre National de France and the Choeur de Radio France. Here, my friends and I revisit Bobby Helms' 50s classic Jingle Bell Rock! A highly innovative track for its time, mixing Christmas song and rock...
Jingle Bells Boogie | Nicolas BALDEYROU and Radio France All Star
zhlĂ©dnutĂ 80KPĆed 7 mÄsĂci
Dear friends, I hope you are well! I'm pleased to present the first Christmas video in a series of three that I've made for Radio France with my friends from the orchestras. This is my arrangement of jingle bells boogie formerly made for clarinets, which I have here developed for brass band (and clarinet of course đ). Originally, Jingle bells was written by James Lord Pierpont in 1857 and was t...
PAGANINI Caprice No. 9 "La caccia" | Svetlin ROUSSEV & Nicolas BALDEYROU
zhlĂ©dnutĂ 126KPĆed rokem
SACRILEGIOUS ARRANGEMENT #5 Dear friends, I hope youâre well! Todayâs sacrilege is dedicated to Paganini this time! đ As my friend Svetlin ROUSSEV recently recorded the whole cycle of Caprices, we thought it was a very good occasion to propose an alternative version for the famous Capriccio No. 9, « La caccia » (the hunt). The Caprices where written between 1802 and 1817 and La caccia is the on...
MENDELSSOHN Octet op. 20 - IV. Presto | Nicolas BALDEYROU
zhlĂ©dnutĂ 93KPĆed rokem
Dear friends, I hope youâre well! Todayâs sacrilege is dedicated to Mendelssohn, again đ (sorry, itâs one of my favorite composersđ„), not the violin concerto this time but one of the most exciting piece for strings, the famous octet opus 20! Composed in 1825 and dedicated to his violin teacher Eduard Rietz, imagine that Mendelssohn was only 16⊠Written for four violins, two violas, and two cell...
LISZT La Campanella ïœNicolas BALDEYROU
zhlĂ©dnutĂ 129KPĆed 2 lety
Dear friends, I hope youâre well! Todayâs video was a real challenge, one of the most demanding arrangement I ever made, the famous piano study : « La campanella » (Italian for "The little bell") by Liszt! It is the nickname given to the third of six Grandes Ă©tudes de Paganini, S. 141(1851), in the key of G-sharp minor. Its melody comes from the final movement of NiccolĂČ Paganiniâs Violin Conce...
VIVALDI Concerto RV 580 Allegro | BALDEYROU-CUPER-FERREIRA-HARDY-MANZ
zhlĂ©dnutĂ 175KPĆed 2 lety
Dear friends, I hope youâre well. In these complicated times when people are dying or going into exile to avoid war, being a musician can sometimes seem futile. But sharing music and giving emotions is what we musicians have been put on earth to do, and arts are even more important in dark times to remind us humanity and purpose. Thatâs why I would like to dedicate this video to all people suff...
MOZART Gran Partita Adagio | BALDEYROU & friends
zhlĂ©dnutĂ 94KPĆed 2 lety
Dear friends, I hope youâre well! Todayâs video is quite special as itâs a long awaited one by many of you who have been asking for this piece for a very long time đ The Serenade K 361 has long been known by its more famous nickname, Gran Partita. This was not Mozartâs invention: his manuscript for the piece originally had no heading, but some unknown hand scribbled the nickname on it, and it h...

Dear Friends, I hope youâre well as summer is in approach! I guess It will be the last Chopin video before holidays but I had so many demands, I couldnât resist to record the famous Fantaisie-Impromptu opus 66! The Fantaisie-Impromptu was written in 1834, as were the Four Mazurkas (Op. 17) and the Grande valse brillante in Eâ major (Op. 18), but unlike these other works, Chopin never published ...

Dear Friends, I hope youâre well! I didnât post any video for quite a long time but I had a very good reason đ in addition to my normal activities, I was recording a full symphony orchestra! I dreamt for a long time to play the beautiful horn solo of « Pavane pour une infante dĂ©funte » by Ravel, that was one of the reasons I started to play the French horn 20 years ago, so thatâs it, I decided ...

Mito (Gennaro Santoro)
Youâre my hero Nicolas!
who here thinks the harpsicord ruined it... (the clarinets are amazing tho)
đThat truly rips!
Everything you do is truly amazing technically but so musically played. There are only a few of you on the planet that can do it all.
I want you to shave your arm hair.
Linda! đđ»â€ïžđđđ»đđ»đđ»đ§đ·đđ»
Superb in every way! No need to apologize "for the few slurs" that Paganini himself may have actually liked, especially on clarinet. Impossible to know what his thinking would have been, especially from our 21st century viewpoint.

All that without breathing! Truly an amazing performance.
Whatâs the instrument that looks like a bari sax but not? And is the brown clarinet an Eb clarinet?
Was this played with double tonguing?
Much better than strings

I started learning clarinet when I was 7 I'm now 73 listening too this young man makes me tell myself go practice đ his talent is wonderful thank you for sharing đđđ
Absolutely amazing as usual!
Brilliant and great fun!
If you listen very carefully, you can hear that a clarinet ensemble is doubled by the piano!
why did they leave the contrabass clarinetist of all people out in the cold? his instrument is all metal, that temperature is gonna jack up the tuning!
Fantastico â€

What clarinet u using?
Bravo! Your intonation and timing are always impeccable and I don't even see you wearing an earbud. How do you go about recording the different tracks? Wonderful arrangement and playing!
I played the clarinet for eight years in my younger years, three years all state, and you are really making me miss it. It's been close to 20 years since I've played. â€
Wow; seriously smooth and expressive. What type / strength of reed were you using? I like to think that if I were to use the same read in my Leblanc bass clarinet, it would sound just as good as this. Perhaps.
I think he uses B40 with V12 3.5 reed, he says in his more recent videos in the description. Leblanc tends to be much more resistant than Buffet bass clarinets though, since they have narrower bores. I would recommend going down a half strength from what you would play on a Buffet; I play 3's on Leblanc and 3.5 on Buffet personally
@@tabbywarrior thank you so much for your reply tabby. I love my Leblanc, I know that if there is a squeak or muffled note or whatever, then itâs my fault, not the instrument.
@@paulrandall9705 Leblanc makes such good instruments, definitely underrated

i saw this fantastic video 4 years ago. i don't remember what was it! top. good job!!!!!OMG
