You are free to invent any story that is allegedly based on a fact of fiction or reality. Without naming anyone in the story with real names you technically can do anything you want with it. You may be sued if you make a story about a wooden puppet that wants to become a real boy calling him “Jack” because is a copyright infringement of the main idea. Instead you can create an original story, using fictional names and said that is “based on a true story”. Netflix have good layers before they buy a series from you they check.

This is my theory on what went on. I think she could’ve been a lonely woman with a few friends but not many and one day she went into this pub for some food like she’s said and she got chatting to Richard and some other workers/regulars while she was there. Having a laugh and bantering like the show depicts. I think she enjoyed that interaction very much and it made her feel accepted. I think the pub was the sort where it was little bit ruff around the edges and mainly had the same people come in day in day out. Like a little community. I think they enjoyed her bubbly personality, in the beginning, and welcomed her into their little community. I think that’s probably where she ended up with people’s numbers & email addresses. Then it started to go abit pear shaped. This is where I think the truth lies in the middle. She saw this as not just a pub but a friend group that had accepted her as one of them. I dont think that had happened often or ever to Fiona in her life and it was very special to her. In her mind these people were her close friends now and she probably started going down maybe everyday/every other day because she enjoyed the company (why wouldn’t she). This is where the emails and messages started. ‘Hi are u working today?’ ‘oh wasn’t that funny what so & so said last night’. This is just her talking to her friends but because she was so excited to have these friends she came on too strong for them. Message them a little too much and I think people started to get annoyed with it and started to find Fiona annoying. I think they were probably talking behind her back but when she came in they would shut up and not say anything to her because they didn’t have the guts/didn’t want to her her feelings. I think this moment is the truth where Richard started to feel sorry for her and maybe he gave her a little more attention than other people were. This is where everyone started calling her a stalker because she would keep coming in even though they didn’t want her there anymore but how was she know know when they weren’t telling her, to her they were her friends. I feel like this is where the 2 woman she talks about finally told her people were calling her a stalker and I think she was very hurt by that and did stop going in but she still couldn’t completely sever the tie with Richard, the one that had still talked to her when the others seemed distant. In her head he was probably a real friend but in his head he only did it because he felt sorry for her. The letters and emails probably went on for a little bit because she was still trying to hold on to the feeling she had when she was accepted and yes this would’ve felt like stalking to him and probably was to an extent but she was just a broken hearted woman.
