USSR lost 27 million people in WWII. Germans were exterminating civillians, burning villages with inhabitants, bombing cities. Millions perished from starvation in the siege of Leningrad. Absolutely. So many of the western citizens believe WW2 was about the holocaust which was really found out towards the end, but it was about the takeover of Europe and then attacking Russia.
USSR did engage in mass ethnic cleansing, r@pe and murder of civilians in the aftermath of the war,it’s not a myth that they did those things,but yes I do agree that the war was fought well by them to win and they didn’t bomb every city in east Germany like Dresden was in the west.

I had the unfortunate experience of watching Rachel Maddow today while visiting family and thought "This has to be the dumbest person on the planet." Then I came home, clicked this link because I've been a huge fan of Mearsheimer's work for years and oh my, Piers Morgan just might be the dumbest person on the planet. Impressive.
The whole interview is a classic case of "this is what I believe" versus "but that's not the reality, son".

On an entirely smaller scale: As a soldier for the US Army, and a contractor after my so called honorable service, this interview brightly illustrates how we see the so called oppressed and those forced to cooperate.
The collective thought: If you’re with us, no matter the reason, then you’ll be ok.
I had arguments with other service members about laundry services. Again, it is minuscule, but important. The TCNs (3rd Country Nationals) were treated like crap.
The arguments were directed at some of the other US service members and their discontent with TCN that provided those services.
Most assumed that those providing services for all of us, should be lucky, and that they should be happy, and that they were making more money than they’d would ever make.

I think the issue here is that Professor John Mearsheimer is analyzing the situation and explains how he thinks the different parties will react strategically in the different possible situations, while Piers Morgan just says what he hopes happens in the different situations..
For example, Professor John Mearsheimer says that if Russia starts losing the war then he thinks that they will use nuclear weapons and he doesn't think that NATO will respond with nuclear weapons because it is not in their interest. He doesn't say that that's what he wishes or want to happen, he just says that that's how he think it will play out. Piers Morgans response is "but you seem to think that Russia is infallible". I literally felt second hand embarrassment for Piers...

In a proper interview, the interviewer is supposed to ask questions, allow the interviewee to complete their points with very minimal interruptions that way the viewers can form their opinions based on complete answers from the interviewee. If you want see an example of a good interview skills, I suggest you check out Judge Napolitano. He asks good questions and allows his guests to get their points across without minimal to no interruption. Piers Morgan can learn a thing or two from him regarding proper interview skills.

Difference is that Kuwait has vast oil reserves and Ukraine doesn’t. Also, Saddam asked the US what their position was on his siphoning oil under the desert of Kuwait and was told that the US had no issue against it.
