What many americans seems not to understand is, that this is a serious matter. This is not another libya, afganistan etc... this one is where americans will pay the price eventually.
If america fail to help protecting its allies in europe, middle east, asia - there will be no allies left to protect US. If afganistan failed what would have happened? Nothing really. Failed afganistan, libya, iraq etc... bare very little consequences for americans in america. Failed europe, israel, saudi arabia, taiwan on the other hand... is crucial to the very existence of USA.
The reason why USA is as successful as it is is because of its strategic allies. Russia, Iran, China are preparing for war and are watching US very closely. If ukraine fails, russia will end up their path? Ukraine is the first step in their new path, it is not the goal. Do americans really want to live in a world where israel is defeated and iran has nuclear weapons? Really this is the world you want to live? With weaker europe, iran and north korea (with both claim they want to destroy USA) with long range nuclear weapons, no strategic intelligence presence in middle east, tawain chip manufacturing in chinas hands...?

It's quite surprising that nobody mentioned the attack on the consulate in Iran. Iran cited Article 51 of the UN Charter, which grants the right to self-defense. So, why isn't international law being applied in Iran's case? They're just trying to protect their country. Who gets to determine who's more dangerous or superior? Who sets the standards for judging one over the other?

Iran did plan out a Beautiful strategy to test out their capabilities. This should have been dubbed, 'Operation test the Skies'. Israel knew the time, the operation was going to take place, but Iran managed to hit it's targets anyway. It also got to see, how the alliance flank works, when defending Israel. This give it more information on how the alliance would probably attack Iran too, in the future.
Now information is what shapes strategies. This is the only reason, Iran is calling it a success. It has nothing to do with sending fire power to Israel and scaring them, symbolically, but everything to do with war maps and strategies. Iran now knows where those flanks are. Just like how the West sacrifices a few ships, so it can pinpoint the Houthis Operations in the Red Sea for air strikes afterwards and getting information of bases.
Besides, it cost Israel 1.2 billion dollars. The bill from the US and UK side, still to come. Iran now knows something and will find ways how to increase this cost that Israel pays, to 20 times more. That's a financial disaster that will break Israel's bank or American tax payers money. But no matter what, Pier will never understand.

I’m not American but I agree with Patrick that America should be spending more money on its own citizens before sending such vast amounts abroad . From what I’ve seen (and I’m no expert) there are quite a few issues stateside that could really do with that money .

1) He cuts off Piers after he HIMSELF asks “How much money are we giving them (Israel)?
2) PBD’s whole argument was essentially “AMERICA FIRST. Worry about everyone else later.” By responding to Piers with “How much are we giving them?” (Which is billions btw), he can no longer argue from a principle/ethical perspective (which was the place he was basing his argument from in the first place).
3) When Piers pushes back with the principle aspect, PBD realizes that that he just fumbled and is now sounding like a hypocrite. He begins to stammer on his words. He then attempts to stray off the topic and goes on a tangent about Saudi Arabia, Iran, what he thinks of MBS, Piers’ friend-Ronaldo. (He’s so nervous, at this point, he’s just completely avoiding the question).
4) PBD then seems to be so self-conscious, tries to recollect himself (fails miserably) and he probably realizes how much of a fool he’s sounding right now. He proceeds to give a vague and peculiar response. “Loyalty due to OUR faith (???) We NEED that country. Judeo-Christian (???), “It’s a little deeper than that.”
5) Soon as he finishes with those words, he ends the response with bashing Zelensky and he miraculously regains composure. No more nerves, no more stumbling on his words, no more erratic hand gestures. He’s uber-confident.
If you know anything about Conservatives, Republicans, Christian Zionism, and the Jewish lobby in the US, you will know EXACTLY why PBD responded the way he did. The real religious extremists are not the guys with big beards and turbans on their head.
