I grew up playing this game, probably first played when I was six. Never beat it until I was 12, but that was a lot of listening to the menu music and running in circles during the tokyo level. Love that its on PS5 so I can 100% there too

Hopefully doesn't get a random "Mature" rating from "Teen" ex post facto with any rerelease like the remastered classics did. If anything sentiment of what's considered "mature" has greatly increased into pornography by comparison to 90s, eg: much lauded Balder's Gate 3. Yet the classic Tomb Raider games are considered sexist for Lara being the embodiment of a true badass, empowered feminity, confident and carefree woman without being a knockoff rewrite of stereotype male archetype. She inspired a generation of women and men gamers. While I appreciate the newer games for their merits, the character rewrites have taken away from Lara's own motivations submitting to her father's shadow, unconfident and without direction. I hope any new product take more from her classic character than recreating new characters and slapping recognized names upon them to sell the product. Lara was aspirational hero, not a relatable flawed normal person. Gamers long for the exceptional to escape reality, not live in our own mediocre realism.

This version of Lara Croft was so much better than what came after

Rise of the Tomb Raider has the best graphics in the reboot series

My sister introduced me to this game she helped me get through the hard parts in this game but other than that this game was epic af and I loved it sm I played it over and over again it was and each time i finished it I sat back and enjoyed this song I expected something more hardcore but this was the actually perfect credits my sister is all grown now but when she comes to vistbwe still love to play this game. ❤

Even though I'm not the biggest fan or supporter of the Reboot trilogy. One thing I give these games major props for, is how grand the spectacles are and just how cinematic it can be.

There's nothing Lara Croft about this character, nor is there anything Tomb Raider about these games. The character gas none of Lara's sarcastic humor, worldliness, never of steel, confidence and strength, none of Lara's athleticism, phenomenal gymnastics skills and marksmanship, it doesn't even look remotely like Lara. The games have none of the essential elements of real Tomb Raider games like constant globetrotting, grandiose tombs and ruins, intricate puzzles, and traps. Mythical creatures and monsters, lost lands, etc.. just a lot of bs.

I think they used a mod (restoration project) to do this vid because original aod controls are stiff, unresponsive and slow.
