Love to see your guys efforts and props to the one who mooted for the idea of parkour because it some what resembles the classic Lara but the same time carving it own way, same goes with the outfits, I like the fact that its not the exact replica of the old ones.
I love the reboot and its now the next phase of the project to link the reboot and the original. I was hoping the series start from the reboot in 2010 Himiko's curse 😅

So far, I'm not seeing ANY classic Lara in this. And just based on the character model and facial expressions, they didn't get Lara right.

I was giving the show the benefit of the doubt after the teaser, but this BTS footage confirmed my fears that it will be a bland and sanitized affair. The designer talks about classic influences for the outfits, but there is literally nothing classic to be seen here, it's all boring ''practicality'' nonsense we've seen for the past 10 years. Lara's proportions are even more toned down than in survivor games. There's no path for this character to become anything close to what classic or Legend Laras were as was promised by the unified timeline.
If they really want the next Tomb Raider to do well they need to go all out and bring back the sexy badass Lara to make a statement instead of pandering to the snowflakes who think showing a bit of skin is sexist. Unfortunately they won't.

Respectfully disagree, a large portion of why the survivor games performed so well was due the focus on the story and personality development of her character rather than the traditional seductive nature she was originally given. This is because in order to build her appeal to the gaming community of the 90s/2000s she was dressed less modest to appeal to the largely male dominated gaming base. Now, there isn’t a need for that to grab the attention of audiences because of the established fan base and higher percentage of women in the gaming industry, both as players and developers. This is something I appreciate as a woman in the gaming industry who having growing up with very few female gaming icons, I value the fact that she is more modest and respected for her character and not her body. It’s not unrealistic to shape her character into a role model and hero for women, rather than a sex object for men.
Yea I wish the director of Blue Eye Samurai (Netflix) would've taken on this project.

@@SabeameFantasy Well who knows considering Embracer is having loads of trouble at the moment and Crystal had to lay off a lot of people recently.
Between this and the Remastered Trilogy, you likely will see a game reveal next year, this is kind of thing Studios do before Big Reveals.

Lara from Tomb Raider 2013 to Shadow, was utterly divine. She was the most amazing woman ever created real or fictional. I have no faith that Netflix or any of their affiliates won't utterly desecrate and defile anything they touch, but we have hope for the Developers for the new game. If they created the wonderful most recent trilogy, we can say there is at least hope. If they make Lara gross and masculine, we need to do something about it.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is a 2024 Animated series from Powerhouse Animation, Netlfix and Legendary Pictures that spans the gap between Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the original 1996 Tomb Raider.

I can't stand animated stuff, but I'm absolutely going to watch this anyway. I'm too much of a Tomb Raider fan to pass it up. I really hope they let the story develop organically and don't shoehorn politics in. I also hope that fans don't accuse everything of being political whether it is or not. Lara's personality is intrepid adventurer, historian, archaeologist, scientist. She can be bisexual or lesbian (although the latter would be met with absolute fury by many), but don't let that define her. Let the character be who she is, and let her supporting cast be whole people with full personalities too, not just a prop for Lara to jump off of. Allow her full, rich relationships, whether it's platonic, professional, personal, or romantic. Commit and do it right, don't just pander or allow studio meddling to dilute the story. And for the love of god, if Sam is going to be in the story, don't treat her like she was treated in the comics. Do her character justice, including her relationship to Lara, which was very close in the game. She was one of the more interesting characters in the reboot, as was Jonah, but it felt like while Jonah was respected, Sam was tossed aside because certain entities felt her presence made Lara too "Sapphic".
TL;DR please tell a good story and don't pander, but please do have a backbone and don't queerbait the gay fans
