Tomb Raider VI (6): The Angel of Darkness
No. No. No. NO! Somebody is LYING to me! There is no way this is FINALLY happening! As someone who has been playing Tomb Raider since 1997, I can only say I'm floored and damn near tears to see this! Wow! Just WOW! EDIT: Scratch that. I am in tears. These games mean and have forever meant a lot to me growing up. And on Lara's birthday with mines a couple of days after (always loved Lara as a fellow Aquarius). Well done for all those responsible for this project.

I just want a playable TR games. The first 6 game was unable to play in 2020-2023. The devs should make better controls.
The soundtrack for the original tomb raiders is unmatched
The choice of Lara's look is very tasteful here. There's no attempt to force a reboot appearance on her. This is what the original Lara looked like, just in higher resolution. This is incredible news.
She basically looks like FMV Lara and I'm here for it.
its really amazing how they manage to make it look good and old at the same time , like its looks brand new but still authentic to the old ones :O
This is such a win for the fans of the classic era of Tomb Raider games! Words can not describe my happiness. Big shout out to everyone who is pouring their hearts into this project. A guaranteed pre-order here. This franchise was my childhood. I hope everyone gives this huge support. Would love to see Chronicles & The Last Revelation ported at a later date & perhaps a remake of The Angel of Darkness in the form of the imagined trilogy they had hoped for in the early 2000s ❤️🤞 thank you so much for this gift & for supporting the preservation of the true treasure that is this franchise ❤
Never a good idea to order before reviews are out. We have no idea of the quality of this project yet. Remember the terrible remastered GTA trilogy? What a mess that was
They MUST bring TLR and Chronicles after this. Then it will be complete.
AoD is not part of the classics, it was a reboot.

I have never seen the fanbase so happy. Thank you for hearing us! This is a real proper remaster.. No cheap upscale.. No remake. The glory of the old as we remember it. But updated for us spoiled fans with modern consoles and demands 😅 I am very happy and can't wait to get my hands on this! Please consider doing TR4-6 next! If this proves to be a success.
Excellent decision! Game preservation is very important, especially for gaming monuments like these. I'm very happy to finally have the chance to re-experience these adventures in a whole new way :) and that on Lara's birthday no less, which is just amazing!🥰

It wasn't Crystal... I'm pretty sure because they showed how much they hated being in the shadows of the originals.
@@Hear.myvoice But these remasters couldn't been made without Crystal's blessing and direction. Not to mention that Crystal had been teasing the classic games since Powerwash Simulator. In a Tomb Raider 25th Anniversary celebration video, Dallas Dickinson spoke about how he and other members at Crystal are classic fans. In fact, Rhianna Pratchett spilled the beans that it was Microsoft who told Crystal to erase Classic Lara Croft because of her days with their competitor, PlayStation. Perhaps for the first time, we'll actually see how Crystal manages the Tomb Raider franchise without the influence of Microsoft, Eidos, or Square Enix.
I already made my pre-order on Steam! I bought it because I love the classic Tomb Raider but also to support the team that is working on them and so we can have another remastered collection with TRIV, TRV and TRVI 🔥
Hopefully this remastered collection with TRI, TRII, and TRIII sells well 🙏

Is there going to be a physical edition? What is the cover art going to be? This is stunning, Lara’s model looks so perfect. I am on the verge of tears, this is all I’ve ever wanted. Really hope we get this releases physically

The biggest thing is that they're not JUST doing the first three games - but also their expansions! Unfinished Business, Golden Mask AND Lost Artefact, on consoles for the first time ever!
I am not completly the target audience, as I enjoy playing the old games as they are. But I'm so glad for everyone who waited for years for this surprise, and see that the team is listening to their players ! Thank you for your work and the passion you share for Lara ! Can't wait to hear more about the animated series !
You can play them as they are, there's a og graphics option.
@@V_i_vi_an no one is going to buy these games if they prefer the originals because they already have the originals on their platform of choice so it makes zero sense to buy a "remaster"
@@expOsiris That's just not true, the original Tomb Raider on PC is a disaster of missing content, bugs, and software emulation. Just having an actual source port with hardware acceleration and proper 16/9 support is MASSIVE. I know Open Lara exists but it was still very WIP when I tried it. It's less impressive for 2 and 3 though.

As a lifelong Core Tomb Raider fan, this makes me so happy! These games, especially 3, are my childhood! I also love how the remasters stay true to the look of OG Lara.

Tomb Raider was literally the first game I got for my PS1 - and I've played every game and love this franchise so damn much. Christmas is two months late - but February 14th I'm calling in sick, at work, tuck myself in and won't show myself outside again until I resemble Gollum.

These classics look absolutely stunning 😍, my jaw dropped when I seen the surprise announcement. However please don’t forget TR Chronicles, The Last Revelation & Angel of Darkness. I hope these will come later & get the remastered treatment as well 😊

Underworld deserves remake (because it's really short and seems unfinished. International crisis 2008) or at least Director's Cut because it's DLCs literally stuck on XBOX 360

But if there is no other remastered collection with the other 3 TR classics I will be very disappointed because without them the Classic Era will not be complete!
And after I heard about what's happening with Embracer company at the moment and if the other remastered collection is already in the plans to be made, it could be in danger of never having it 😢☹

The most favorite location in Venice. On the boat. This is in part 2, if I'm not mistaken. I saw Venice for the first time in this game and really loved it.. I just loved playing through the game. It was difficult, but interesting. My favorite is the 2nd part, where Venice is and another location where after the start you have to swim a lot under water.. Just look at the beginning of the game, where you learn Lara’s acrobatics, and then you constantly use all this in the game.

With this amazing news, I wonder if we might also see The Last Revelation, Chronicles and even AOD remastered as well? Admittedly Chronicles and AOD were released before being truly finished, but those issues could now be fixed with the extra content added, which was originally left out.

I rented tomb raider for the Saturn around Christmas time. I ended up getting the chickenpox the week before Christmas vacation. I played that game nonstop for two solid weeks.
As long as the tank controls aren't included, I'm in!
its confirmed that they have both tank controls and a updated modern control system that you can swap between at any time

What about Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation + "The Times" downloaded pack, Tomb Raider V: Chronicles and Tomb Raider VI: The Angel of Darkness!? They will be remastered too like these ones? I really hope they will get remaster too because the Classic TR era is not complete without them 🙏
