@@jameslevy8347 They literally announced this game saying it bridges the gap after shadow of the TR. They then further stated everything post Shadow is part of the Unification.

If everything that shows up in collabs is going to be canonical in the Unified Timeline, then the remasters of the first 3 games are now canonical in the Unified Timeline.

@@mateuslopes9472they're unifying timeliness, though, so basically, in the endings of the anime, lara would embrace her classic phase and that's what's going to happen. Survivor/2013 Lara is actually meant to be the past version of lara while the original classic anit-hero lara croft we all know is the actual present-day of the character appearance. You basically don't know anything about the franchise! The upcoming tomb raider game is a classic lara revival.

Great lets make another project called "Tomb Raider" and get rid of Lara's dual pistols, her gymnastic skills, her charm, her martial arts background,her double D’s and personality and her orginal design and sell it to make a profit..honestly so dissapointed the orginal Lara's never coming back with these bozo's in charge trying to make a buck.... Legend Lara would be better than this unlikeable insecure character with no charm or likeable peronality that doubts her every move and call her Lara Croft..I dont know who this girl with daddy issues, a bow and a gang of friends is but this isnt and will never be Lara Croft

This is probably going to be a correction on story and continuity mistakes of the Survivor Trilogy games, as well as a means to bridge the gap into the next game.
@@deadwingjockey7642Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The thing is, this is just a tease. We don't know the context of these scenes they've shown. We don't even know how they're threading the timelines together. I wonder if the name "The Legend of Lara Croft" may indicate that they're focusing on showing us how they've made a cohesive timeline. As Haley Atwell said in an interview, these stories will progress Lara's timeline naturally to where the fans want the series to go. That is, finally getting a version of classic Lara back.
It's a sequel to Shadow of Tomb Raider but serving as a bridge to the original Tomb Raider games, it's going to officially make them part of the same continuity.
They just revealed the unified revision of Lara which is a mix of classic and survivor trilogy so I’m sure this is going to clear some plot points and then bridge into the new game.
It looks good, but I really hope halfway through this show she finally dumps the bow and picks up the dual pistols. No signs of any "unification" so far :(
If Crystal are to be believed when they said that everything (including the collabs with other companies and games) pictured now is part of the Unified Timeline. That would mean the remaster of the first three games are part of the Unified Timeline, and how she was portrayed in Call of Duty is also apart of the new timeline.
Then again, they could always come out and say otherwise, allowing them to keep the Bow and Arrows as er default weapon.
2024 is Lara’s year already! So excited!
Ye, reveal for next game would be awesome too. And the TV series. And hopefully the continue with the remasters up to underworld with extra DLC so all fans can experience the full story
@@tonitonigames agreed! Hopefully during the video game awards we get another trailer for the series or a teaser of the next game. I really want to play AOD again, so hopefully that’s remastered in the future. Fingers crossed!

I thought the Survivor timeline was over. Unless this isn’t part of the unification and it’s just expanding that universe’s lore more. Which is strange if the newer game won’t have any connection to this timeline. Maybe this’ll be the real ending to this version Lara.

@@Hale_chp So this a prequel to the upcoming game? Hmm interesting. I didn’t know the unification was a continuation of the Survivor timeline I thought given the word “unification” it would be a completely new reboot with elements taken from every Lara/Tomb Raider that came before.
@@InjusticeJosh The actual process of the unification is unclear. We just know this show bridges the gap after Shadow and they said everything after shadow would be going toward the unification of Laras.
@@Hale_chp And since it takes place before every TR entry before it they can do this. Well it’s convenient I suppose. Hope it works cuz I wasn’t a fan of building off of Survivor Lara. I was with 2013 but her character went sour after Rise and Shadow. Hopefully this show makes the character interesting again.
Actually, it takes place after the events of Crystal's origin trilogy and they said that they are indeed combining both timelines. The classic from Core Design's version and their reboot version. Confusing, I know. Read that from a source.
Why do I get more "All I have Lost" vibes from this, and not "How I became the Tomb Raider that everyone fell in love with in 1996"
Depending on how many episodes, start with the origin before we get to the experience lara croft

Hopefully we'll see Lara exploring tombs, uncovering mysteries of ancient cultures, solving puzzles and surviving deadly traps and creatures instead of hanging out with friends and family. If it's about her friends and family I'm out. I hoped for CGI game cinematic version but just happy to see any show of Tomb raider.
Doubt it. They’re dedicated to her crawling about creepy islands and getting thrown about like an rag doll 😅
I was just thinking the same thing. I would be more inspired to see Lara in ACTION using her mental agility in crazy situations--No crying over friends and family please. I get it, I do. Just give it a rest once in a while please, CrystalD.

It's been too long! Since I've been waiting for a teaser! I am so hyped for this series! The animation is beautiful and I know that Hailey Atwell will crush this role as Lara! By the end, I hope she gets loaded with all her weapons, the dual pistols, the bow, the two axes, etc. Pretty much the best of both versions!
Never gonna happen. Survivor Lara started out whiny, and ended whiny. Classic Lara was already way tougher at 16 than Survivor Lara at 21. Their personalities could never naturally combine. Truthfully, the best they could do in a "unification" is bringing Survivor Lara closer to Legend Lara (and the title of the series is leaning on that idea to me). Neither of them could ever be Classic Lara though.

Glad they're keeping Lara's SOTTR design around for a bit longer. One of her best looks. Hayley Atwell is the perfect casting for Lara as well.
i assume she'll have a new design by the end of the show to cement the unification!

The series takes place after the 2013-2018 Tomb Raider trilogy reboot, which concluded with Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and it fills in the gap of the Tomb Raider timeline, bridging the reboot trilogy to the original series of games.
so I'd imagine it shows how she goes from the Survivor Trilogy to The Tomb Raider we all know and love.
as someone who played the original games as a kid and now occasionally plays the Survivor Trilogy i am looking forward to this show so much!!

I really hope this is good, and unification proves strong! I haven't seen much of it in this teaser trailer, strong reboot vibes is all I feel with it (enjoyed the reboots), but I'm looking forward to seeing more soon!

@@otherprisma7354 Why bother with a retelling of the Survivor Trilogy when it only made a return profit of 1% for Crystal Dynamics.
Also, do a retelling of the games story is just admitting that you made a flawed story and are using this as a means of correction because changing the games may get backlash on multiple different levels. It will also takeaway one aspect of buying the games, which only leaves the gameplay and you'll likely be getting the same gameplay in their next game.
@@valienpire Maybe they're saving that for their next game. It would make sense as they probably think that her just having dual pistols will gain extra sales.
I myself can't see how they can bring back the dual pistols without also bringing back her gymnastic side of movement during combat. Bring back the dual pistols while keeping her slow sluggish movement from the trilogy will just feel wrong.

So the tomb raider animation ongoing is adapted from the video game 2013 and the comics combine if the company netflix want to make the episodes. Now that is a fitting action, adventure, puzzle and horror-supernatural genre. 😎

Do you know that I saw the teacher at my school screaming, my mother because my mother and the teacher at the school are the ones who follow this game. When he was a child, he said that there are many things to do. I feel like taking it to my mother. I said that the teacher screamed it to the teacher. It‘s like their happiness.
There is a CZcamsr that created an AI generated Lara that makes us think it really is her thinking and acting "live." It's the best because we get to hear Lara's thoughts about everything archaeological and historical. Yes to traditional action, but let's see her knowledge and experience in action.
