In-Car Sound & Bass Test: Infinity Kappa 1200W 12" Sub, Alpine S-A60M Amp Installed via OWC Harness.
A sound demo inside and outside the car with this setup, connected via the OWC harness adapter. Pretty amazing performance considering the amplifier is using the stock (demo) power & ground wires and is VERY conservatively tuned.

No information on what cable you use. No technical information. Nice and shiny, but actually pointless.
This is a "how it's made" video. Not a "how-to" video.
I use RG59 75ohm co-ax with gold plated rca connectors, for interconnects. Works excellent.
Why high speed ?
Because this is a time-lapse video, with commentary.
I need one for a 2013 genesis sedan with the upgraded sound syste.
That can be arranged. Shoot an email to info@owc-upgrades.com to discuss.
this is a great idea, but don't know about spending $200+ for wiring connections.
Thank you. 200+ for a custom, professionally built super high quality plug & play harness kit is an excellent price, but is absolutely not for everyone. Cheaper options are available for those on a budget.
Awesome video where can I purchase your harness connection? I have a 2017 QX70 Bose navigation setup.

Hello, I live in Germany and I like this for my infiniti fx35 2004. Do you have the adapter? Is there also a way to do this and keep the factory sub connected?
Hello. Yep, you can see the adapters for your FX35 at the two links below. PLATINUM SERIES www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/fx35-fx45-2003-2008-audio-interface-harness-adapters-platinum-series RED LINE www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/fx35-fx45-2003-2008-audio-interface-harness-adapters-red-line
Wow your power wire is tiny.
Yes it is! But it makes up for that in character.
Will you have any G35 / G37 / Q40 / Q60 Navigation Conversion Parts for Upgrade available again?
Parts are all sold out for now and the near future. I'd recommend searching online or checking with your local salvage/recycling yard for parts. You usually find some pretty good deals, especially if you pick them up locally.
@@owcupgrades6272 I found parts listed as "2008-2011 Infiniti G35 G37X OEM Navigation Screen CD Radio Climate Vents (3042)A" is that compatible with a 2015 Q40?
I need a kit for my 2003 FX35. I want to replace the factory amp with highs & mids amp for all the interior speakers and add my (2)15 with 3000 watt mono block amp

Yo
I have a 2012 g37x sedan, just picked up a 10” ported sub with a 1200w Rockville RVA600.1 AMP. What harness would you recommend? I’m kinda on a budget and this seems like a super simple yet well done way to get the sub working. Thanks!
If you're on a budget, I'd recommend using one of the RED LINE adapters to "Add a Subwoofer Amp" to your G37. You can see them here: www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/g35-g37-2007-2013-audio-interface-harness-adapters-red-line
this might be a dumb question but does the subwoofer have its own power source or does the amp power it?
The amp powers the sub, but the amp itself needs a power & ground wire (to the car battery and chassis) to operate.
@@owcupgrades6272 thanks for replying, another question, is every single sub powered by the amp or do the bigger ones need power going directly to them?
@@trgxjas Every sub is powered by an amp of some kind. Even powered subwoofers and underseat subs have built-in amplifiers that power them.
@@owcupgrades6272 ah okay thanks i barely know anything about this stuff and im tryna put one in my car now its making more sense thanks 👍🏽
@@trgxjas No prob
Do you have a kit that would allow for connections to add an amp for highs and mids instead of bass?
Definitely. For what vehicle & year though?
Do you have these for G35 coupe 03?
Yep. You can see them at the links below. PLATINUM SERIES www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/g35-2003-2007-audio-interface-harness-adapters-platinum-series RED LINE www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/g35-2003-2007-audio-interface-harness-adapters-red-line

Yes. Please send me an email at info@owc-upgrades.com to discuss and purchase. Thanks.
I’m new to even digging for information about what I need to do. I have a 2011 G37s and my Bluetooth is choppy. Phone calls and audio are driving me crazy. I’ve contacted Infiniti where they confirmed any updates are discontinued for my vehicle. I’m not sure what it is I need to upgrade. I really don’t care for the navigation, only use phone for that. But my vehicle is in mint condition and not ready for a new one quite yet. However, if I can’t fix the phone calls and music issue I’m considering doing so. Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
Bro no matter how hard I look for that specific adapter I cannot find it! I well beyond know how todo everything else, I’m at a point where because I can’t find the adapter online I want to try & make my own… where tf do you buy that shit from man??
Hello. All you have to do is go to my website. From there you can put your vehicle model in the Search box. You'll see all the options for your car. If you just want pins/connectors/etc. that can be arranged as well, via email.
What a tontooo 😂😂
Where is the sat Xm connection?
It's behind the factory head unit.
This automatically retains the sub in the back, right?
It depends on which vehicle the kit is for. But regardless, if you want to retain your factory sub, that can be done.
Honda need some love too
Sorry, no Honda stuff at the moment. Maybe one day...
What’s the last 4 unused cords for?
Those are just some unused speaker connections.

Hello, I have a 17' Murano SL with Bose system. Can you link me to the harness I need to add a powered sub and keep the existing bose bass active?
Hello. You can see the two links below. The Red Line harness adapters are the more budget friendly ones. And the Platinum Series are the high-end/top quality harnesses. Go to one of those, and from there you can select the upgrade to "Add a Subwoofer Amp". You can pick the option that works best for you. PLATINUM SERIES www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/murano-2015-2023-audio-interface-harness-adapters-platinum-series RED LINE www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/murano-2015-2023-audio-interface-harness-adapters-red-line It’s pretty straightforward, but let me know if you have any other questions.
@@owcupgrades6272 thanks for the quick reply! Quick question on the power supply. Would this harness split the power feeding the existing bose sub to the new powered sub? Or would I need to run a new power line from the battery?
@@scarboro78 You're welcome. For your car, you'll need to run a new correctly sized power & ground wire. That's pretty easy to do for most people.
Do you have one for a 2008 g35 sedan non bose. Im trying to be lazy.
I do. What type of upgrade(s) would you like to do; Add a subwoofer amp, amp all the speakers, or what exactly?
I have an audio control lc7i and an alpine r2-a90s and r2 6.5c Components for the r2-65 coax for the rear doors and ik gonna try a ds18 shallow on the stock bose cutout
@@Mik35959 Ok, thank you. For your '08 G35 you'd just need a kit to provide you with the remote on and 4-channels out to connect the lc7i. Speaker wiring to connect the outputs of your amps, is optional. You can either have that built into the kit (to utilize the OEM wiring) or run all new speaker wires. Totally up to you.
Does this render the factory 10 and amp useless with this kit?
No, it doesn't. The factory sub/amp connection is 100% maintained, unless of course, you choose to disconnect it.
@owcupgrades6272 gotcha cool! So i know the stock 10 is a free air sub could you run another free air or would it be smarter to get a ported one
@@MAKINBANK300 You could if you wanted to, but for any significant subwoofer upgrade, you'll want to sound deaden and reinforce the rear deck to handle the extra load. In general, you'll get better performance from a sub with an enclosure, be it ported or sealed, as long as the box is suitable for the sub(s) you're pushing. You can check the manufacturer's volume & port recommendations of whatever subs you're considering.
@owcupgrades6272 then one last question since its plug in play would i have to run grounds for the setup or is it adapted through the harness?
@MAKINBANK300 In most cases you'll want to run new power & ground wires for the sub amp (pretty easy to do). However, it can be adapted through the harness, BUT only for relatively low power applications, and I'd suggest disconnecting the factory sub completely at that point. I'm assuming you have a G37 or something similar?
So with this upgrade does this render the factory 10 and amp useless?
If you get the kit to Replace the Factory Amp, then of course the OEM amp goes away. You can still amp the factory 10, if you want.
How do your cars not slide around the tracks at those high speeds! Especially the turns!
Really clean tires and track. The guard rails also help a lot on the turns
Can you drop a link to the wire you are using in this video?
Just copper wire and twist them.
That power wire looks a little undersized and lets not forget the stuff sliding around
This is a demo setup, as stated in the vid. Thanks.
The question is with one is faster ?
Hey, man! Thanks for being the first to show up in results. I’ve got a 2015 Murano with the Bose system. Am I right in assuming this will work with my setup with that custom bridge setup for the amp harness? My wife has a 2008 Quest. I do t think it has the Bose, but her sound system is causing a lot of issues and parasitically draining her battery. Do you know of a setup that would work to bypass her amp and head unit, so I can install new aftermarket ones? The stock head unit is $1400 from Nissan Canada and the amp if you can get one up here is closer to $16-2000. Damn van is only worth maybe a few grand these days, but she loves the thing and wants to keep driving it, cause mechanically it’s sound as a pound, man. Any help or insight you have would be greatly appreciated, bro 🤘
Hey, you got it. The setup for your 2015 Murano would be very similar. You actually have two options to add a sub/amp in yours. And each one is available in both the Red Line and Platinum Series. You can check them out via the links below. RED LINE (more budget friendly) www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/murano-2015-2023-audio-interface-harness-adapters-red-line PLATINUM SERIES (super high-quality) www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/murano-2015-2023-audio-interface-harness-adapters-platinum-series As for your wife's 2008 Quest, I don't have any direct experience with replacing the radio, sorry. However, I did come across this video for a 2004 Quest that may be helpful to you: czcams.com/video/BkQ3EaXEhNU/video.htmlfeature=shared Now if you want to retain the stock head unit (may be for one without any issues) and just upgrade the factory amp, I can definitely help you with that. Hope that helps.
@@owcupgrades6272 I’m sorry, man, I don’t know how, but I meant to type 2014 Murano 😅 Hopefully that doesn’t change your answer cause that’s wicked to hear though! Yeah I believe with her van, I’d have to retain the factory head unit apparently, because Nissan in their infinite wisdom, made it somehow integral to the controls on her dash 🙄 I did manage to track down a replacement head for $50 from a wreckers for the van, but no knowing if it’s in working order. I’ll swap them out and hope it works fine, and after that I’ll get in touch, cause if it’s possible to replace the factory amp at least it may help fix some of the issues she’s having. My suspicion is the amp has been KIA sadly, and it’s not worth 2K to go factory again, if I can get her into a nicer setup 🔊 I will def check out the Platinum lines for mine asap here though. Thanks for all your help, brother! I’ll hit you up soon 🤘
@@TheRealWoofer Oh, lol. It's all good brother. The 2014 is nearly the same in that respect. But you can see the ones for your '14 at the links here: www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/murano-2009-2014-audio-interface-harness-adapters-platinum-series www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/murano-2009-2014-audio-interface-harness-adapters-red-line Hopefully you make out ok with the head unit swap. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and the wifey on that It's definitely not worth throwing 2k on a factory amp, lol. That's an easy one. But yeah, if you have any questions about anything, or need help with something else, just let me know. Happy to help.
I have that alpine s-a60m i love it
That's awesome bro. I'm liking it so far too.
When your speaker wire is thicker then your power and ground wires. 😅
Lol. Right. Videos with some real power & ground wire coming soon. Until then 🙃
Excellent video and great information, but the speed ruined it for me. I would have liked it much better if you showed doing just one connector at a regular pace so I could see what is happening. At this speed I was unable to follow even what you were saying most of the time because of the video changing so quickly. Like I mentioned the video quality and content was great in fact almost perfect, I was just not able to follow what you were doing even though you were giving a detailed explanation. just my 2 cents from a viewer.
Thank you. Keep in mind this video isn't so much a "how-to" as it is "how it's made" video. But I may do another video at a slower pace in the future. Meanwhile, you can change the playback speed with the youtube video settings while your watching it. That may help.
What about a 2012 m37?
The kits for the M37 are a little different, but yes, you can see those at the two links below: www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/m37-m56-2011-2013-audio-interface-harness-adapters-platinum-series www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/m37-m56-2011-2013-audio-interface-harness-adapters-red-line
This is a funny question but on a mono block amp I would only need to plug in the subwoofer RCA’s and remote wire? Or would I need to run a second amp just for voice too?
If you're just adding a mono amp to power subs, then you'd only need the RCA and remote signals. If you want to bypass your factory amp or do something similar, then you'd need a second amp for voice. Unless you get a 5-channel (like the one shown in this video) that has a sub amp built into it so you have an "all-in-one" setup. Make sense?
Do you have a link for the version to connect my door speakers to an amp? (Non Bose)
I do yes. What year and model is your car?
Anything for Toyota Camry??
For a special request like that, please email me to discuss.
