Been wanting something like this! Thanks for making it possible.
Sure thing. Appreciate your interest!
@@owcupgrades6272 I let a few guys know about your harnesses. VERY happy with my purchase. Thanks again fellas
@@prestige8161 Awesome. Thank you so much! Enjoy. :)
Wow this is pretty neat
Thank you.
Need the ones with the rca ends for my 4 Chanel and sub amp I should have went with that set when you told me to fixing to hook up my set up with the other set you sale
Sorry. What kind of car do you have?
I have a 2012 g37x sedan, just picked up a 10” ported sub with a 1200w Rockville RVA600.1 AMP. What harness would you recommend? I’m kinda on a budget and this seems like a super simple yet well done way to get the sub working. Thanks!
If you're on a budget, I'd recommend using one of the RED LINE adapters to "Add a Subwoofer Amp" to your G37. You can see them here: www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/g35-g37-2007-2013-audio-interface-harness-adapters-red-line
Awesome video where can I purchase your harness connection? I have a 2017 QX70 Bose navigation setup.
Thank you! You can check out the kits for your QX70 at the two links below.

Will using this still allow the factory subwoofer to work?
The Harness Kits for the 2003-07 G35 can be seen here: www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/g35-2003-2007-audio-interface-harness-adapters-platinum-series
That absolutely rocks! No 2012, though? 😢
Thanks. It works for 2012.
Is there a solution to add an extra amp instead of replacing it? I have one just for my subs and would like to just add them on by splicing into the rca and 12v lines to power it up, and connect it to the battery like most setups.
Yes, absolutely. If you just want to add subs, you can check out the product page for your vehicle. Then, underneath where it says Audio Upgrade, select "Add Subwoofer Amp".
Would i still need a Lc7i to replace door speakers ? Already have 2 12s in trunk (2008 g35 sedan)
No you wouldn't. There's no need for an LC7i (or any other LOC) with these.
I just got a Dual 12 Subwoofer for my Q40 it came with the amp kit do I need anything else?
Just the OWC harness adapter to add a subwoofer amp.
What about for a IPL coupe ‘13 with Bose? I’ve been looking for a PAC like adapter that can run a new DSP amp without summing to a LOC
Yes, it works for the IPL coupe with Bose as well. No need to buy or use an LOC.
@@owcupgrades6272 thanks for the response!
Do you know the typical output voltage these rca run at?
@@Madsolar6 You're welcome. Yes, at full volume it's about 3.3 volts.
I’m looking to replace the stock non bose amp for my q40 would these help?
The Non-Bose Q40 doesn't have an external amp to replace. You'd instead be adding an amplifier to your car with an appropriate OWC kit or adapter, depending on your goals.
I have the base amp on my g37 that went bad. How can i replaced it with aftermarket one?!
I'm assuming you meant Bose amp, correct? If so, you just need one of the harness kits for the G37 to Replace the Factory Amp. There are two choices on the website. One comes with built-in speaker wiring (as shown and mentioned in the video) and the other comes without it. Check them out and please let me know if you have any other questions.
Do the black and white cables tie into the new amplifier?
Yes. That's the built-in speaker wiring that connects to the output channels on the new amplifier.
@@owcupgrades6272 thank you I actually wired in a sony head unit and used the metra wiring harness with the rca’s that connect to the unit so that should be a perfect solution
would this work on an infiniti ex35 (2011)?
Yes indeed, as long as you have the factory Bose audio system. You'd just pick the appropriate one for your EX35.
Will this work if I have a q60 with an aftermarket Aucar mk6 Tesla screen?
What year Q60 do you have? Does it have the factory Bose system or not?
@@owcupgrades6272 2018 red sport AWD it has the Bose system from factory
How would I upgrade the head unit with Bose system?
It depends on the kind of head unit upgrade you want. What is it you'd like to do exactly?
What about a 2012 m37?
The kits for the M37 are a little different, but yes, you can see those at the two links below:

The kit for 2006 coupe is a little different, but the concept is exactly the same. You can check out the kits for your car here: www.owc-upgrades.com/product-page/g35-2003-2007-audio-interface-harness-adapters-platinum-series
@@owcupgrades6272 I have one more question when I bought my car it had already had an aftermarket Kenwood hand unit. It has the whole interface double din installed already, that being said, and done is it necessary for the new amplifiers to have differential inputs since it’s NOT the factory Bose radio?
I’m assuming with the new interface installed, the high(speaker) output on the head unit is already converted into low level for the Bose amp so this RCA adapter you have will work the same, as if it were the factory radio
@@stopher1971 Yes, that's correct. When installing an aftermarket head unit and keeping the factory Bose amp, the signals from the head unit must be converted with a PAC or Scosche wiring interface (likely behind your Kenwood radio). So, if the previous owner still has the factory amplifier powering all the car speakers, then everything will still work the same as if it were the factory radio.
With the upgrade, a few customers have "successfully" used amplifiers Without differential RCA inputs and have no complaints. But I never recommend that since it shorts half of each preamp audio signal to ground and there are plenty of 4+ channel aftermarket amplifiers that have differential inputs. Some 4 channel amps include: Kicker CXA360.4 ($230), JL Audio JD400/4 ($280), Infinity Kappa Four ($300), JL Audio RD400/4 ($400)
Some good 5 and 6 channel amps include: JL Audio XD600/6v2, AudioControl LC-5.1300 and LC-6.1200, Alpine R-A90S, Infinity Kappa Five, Rockford Punch and Power Series, etc. Just to name a few :)
@@stopher1971 Did that info help?
So what you’re pointing out in the video has nothing to do with pulling out the head unit and plugging in wires. Everything you’re showing is done on the amplifier in the trunk to the new amp. Using the factory speaker wires.
The RCA cables would be for an aftermarket head unit correct so you would still have to pull the head unit and run the RCA cables back to the amplifier(s)
Never mind I see now you got the RCA’s tied into the plug
Dude, this is a dream come true where can I get it like right now?
@stopher1971 Yes, you don't pull out the head unit with this. All connections take place in the trunk, so you get a very professional, super clean, plug & play setup. And thank you for the compliment 🙂
This is cool and all but the price you guys are asking is ridiculous
You think so? It's actually significantly less than the cost & time of paying an install shop. Or if you're an installer at a shop, then the time saved and quality more than justify the price. It's a win win, but I understand it's not for everyone.
Yea, $290 for a wiring harness is borderline ludicrous
@@theripper121 $290 for a high-end product and service is a great price.
Also, I have several other options available for anyone on more of a budget.
