Assembling the Cyclone Rake on my Zero Turn
In this video, I will be assembling my Commercial PRO Cyclone Rake in preparation for Fall Leaf clean up. I have lots of trees, so therefore I have lots of leaves!
I’ll show you how I get it on my Ariens Ikon XD zero turn mower. I did upgrade the engine to the Briggs & Stratton® 6.5 HP Vanguard™ Cyclonic Engine. It is a beast of a machine.

    Because a current is being induced in the meter's wire by the expanding and collapsing magnetic field created by the spark plug wire, there was no need to strip the meter wire, compromising its integrity.

      Usually 4 to 4.5. Taller grass is definitely easier to stripe. Rarely under that range until Fall. I don’t think my ground level is smooth enough for under 3. I would probably blast the high spots out the side discharge. 😂 Thanks for watching!

    Great video and thanks for sharing!! From what I can tell your lawn looks great. I just purchased a 42" Ikon and after the 1st mow put G6 Gator Blades on it. What a difference it made in clipping size and discharge. You'd swear you mulched it without all the clumps when you're done. I have been using them for years, but when I got the IKON the factory blades cut well, but left a mess in the yard because I can only get to mine once a week or so. They are pretty heavy, but will last forever. Also, a riding mower jack goes a long way for accessing that deck and keeping poo poo from running down your leg 😄

    Nice install! I have the exact same set up on my Husqvarna MZ52. Awesome lights and very inexpensive! I like them soo much I also just installed the same setup again on a new DeWalt 54" zero turn I just picked up. I did it slightly different on install, I connect directly to the battery with the ring terminals that came with the led light harness. I removed the included switch as you did and used these switch wires to tie into the key switch. This kept the load off my mowers electrical and directly on the battery. Now is this better for such a low use set up, who knows, the results are the same and the light is amazing! Just another way to do it!

      If you have the space to store a ride on, I would ride. 😆 Are you talking about the Edge? Timemasters are nice. I swapped my pulleys out right away for the Exmark ones. It’s a common fail point. The cut is sweet though. I always side discharged. I think it cut better shooting the clipping out the side. But, if you can ride, I’d ride. You might consider a small stand on? I have a 36 stand on and it’s sweet.

    Hi. I saw you use mobil1 full synthetic motor oil. Is it ok to use on lawn mower?

    • @theSuburbiaDad
      @theSuburbiaDad Před 3 měsíci

      Yep! It shouldn’t be an issue. Just reference your manual first. It will tell you what it allowed. Usually synthetic options are acceptable. You just want to make sure you have the correct weight. Thanks for watching!

      @tritang9650 always do what you feel comfortable with. Brands will always recommend their brand of product first. Mine said… “Alternative engine oils and oil filters may be used with KOHLER engines but require 100-Hour oil and oil filter change intervals for proper maintenance. Oil must be API (American Petroleum Institute) service class SJ or higher. Select viscosity based on air temperature at time of operation as shown below.” Have a great rest of your day!|

    I came here primarily just to see what you greased, i.e., to see what zerks are on the mower. I appreciated all of the content, though, and enjoyed the vid. I was wondering, though (and I think it might have been what @MrStrangebrew06 was asking about 6 months ago), what the bar was behind the mower - the one with 12 wheels on it. I don't think that's the anti-scalp wheels like you said, is it? The bar I'm talking about is especially visible at around 0:58. Just curious. (Again, though - nice video, and thanks for posting.)

      Ah! That is my Big League Lawns stripe kit. It lays the blades of grass down to get those bold stripes! Here is a video of it in action…. czcams.com/video/4TPQhpvcUbw/video.htmlsi=6Qfx4s6a6ysDosfl Thanks for clarifying!

    Have you had to change the battery out since doing this

    • @theSuburbiaDad
      @theSuburbiaDad Před 4 měsíci

      I don’t have the XD anymore, but I’ve not heard of it having an issue. I do feel mowing batteries only last a few years regardless. Definitely a part designed to fail eventually. You might be able to get longer out it if your trickle charging it when not using it for long periods of time. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    What happened to the Timemaster?

    • @theSuburbiaDad
      @theSuburbiaDad Před 4 měsíci

      Sold it! I wanted something commercial. I really do wish the Turfmaster had Personal Pace like the Timemaster. I find the handle bar situation to be a bit awkward on the Turfmaster. It took me a while to get use to it. Side note, I saw Toro in Lowes recently. The Timemasters were hidden in top stock of the paint department. Next time you go into one, scope out where they are hiding. Thank you for your continued support and being an OG of the channel.

      @@Uncle_Fester24 😆 I wonder how he’s doing time to time. He was in prime condition. Absolutely mint! I’m sure he’s out there just striping away.
