- In this video, I get an early Fall mow in with the Ariens IKON XD 52. I overseed over first week of September after a brutal scalp. It’s recovered nicely since. The XD is a great machine. I am very happy with it. I put over 110 hours on it since the video.

I noticed you were mowing your with your deflector off. I thought about taking mine off or modifying it so it would sit up higher. Do you get a lot better grass dispersion with the deflector off?
Yep! It fires it out there. When I had the deflector on, I did drill a small hole in it on edge. I think used a bungee cord to put it up. I rarely ever had down, so I just took it off. You might do that first and see what you think before a full commitment. It is easy to put back on.
Do you have bagging system for ikon? I'm wondering what the 2 silver knobs are on top of chute.
I have ikon 42 thinking about bagging system but it won't fit in shed with it on.
And I'm wondering if they're a pain to take on and off?
I have a Cyclone Rake! I get a ton of leaves in the Fall. I needed something with serious capacity. I’ll make some videos this Fall with it.
