I've tried hot sauce, it's basically vinegar. My ski is a black and red 2024 vx limited. Unfortunately it does nothing. Still in search of a product that dismisses those pesky hard water mineral stains.
@@T.Novak5312 I hate to hear that, I’ve had decent results with hot sauce on my black ski. If you find something that works better let us know ! Always looking for better products

Is that a 2023 GP on the right? If so, does it have a seat cover? Looks just like mine except for the seat. Ride on fellas....

Sooo damn hot down here man! I need some north florida weather!
Its been a hot one this year!
Not bad. We're down in Key Largo and rode to the sandbar in Islamorada. I don't know what to believe, but my guage was blinking red at 80 miles. Used fuel stated 11.9. gallons. I definitely put 18 back in. I need to keep an eye on that. Average speed was around 30mph with 2 people and a full rack with cooler, 2 chairs, and an umbrella. 6.8mpg, so im not mad about that.
@@loxahatcheeliving2300 wow that seems pretty good in my opinion ! Especially with the extra weight !
@Watercraftshack I was pleasently surprised for sure!
Beautiful no doubt!
all the fun and all the people lol
I bet having them so high and tight will have a deleterious effect on the strap connection points. It would probably be better to have the weight resting on the bottom of the foot-well.
I have given these a beating this season without any issue but I agree that letting them rest would likely be better for longevity but i really want to stress these coolers to see how well they are built!
So I was looking at the Yamaha website at the center console boats and the 252 FSH has twin 1.9ho engines and it lists their oil capacity at 3.7l, which goes with what you said. How do we contact Yamaha on figuring out what is actually correct?!?😂😂😂
@@mhmetts3 I will try and find Yamaha corporate number or email and contact them to see

Looks like fun. I saw that same board at Bass Pro what are your thoughts on it? How did it do for your size/weight? Thanks
@@GAM-TIME I got it on sale at academy and for the money it’s really good. It’s a very forgiving board and good for beginners. I’m 5’10” and 180lbs and it worked good for me.
@@Watercraftshack thanks for the feedback I’m going to go with that one although I’m 20lbs heavier

Honestly, just another reason to buy one!
Looks good bud like your content we have same ski im just looking for a wake board too , how did it pull him out of the hole ? Too bad were not closer togather we could ride ,but im a canadian boy in british columbia
@@MrSugarkaine if you use tow mode it works like a dream. Took 1 or 2 tries and we figured it out and could get up every time. Don’t be afraid to pin the throttle either, tow mode has a slow acceleration curve

They have come a long way!!! I worked at a Yamaha dealer in the early 2000’s back when they had two strokes!!! They are very impressive now and so is the price!!!
The price is out of control lately
@@WatercraftshackAmen, way out of control!
Where is this?
Crab Island, Destin FL
So far I can say within 1-3 tenths of a gallon my “Fuel Used” has been pretty dead balls accurate. With that being said when I returned to the pump to refilled after riding I do shake the hell out of the ski several times to make sure it topped off completely when refueling.
My 23 GP was very accurate but my FX is about half gallon off after riding all day. I try and let the gas settle for a few and put more in. Usually can get a little more in the tank.
When I'm filling my new 2024 FX the fuel rises to the top of the filler pipe and shuts off the pump before the tank is full. I need to pump the gas slowly to get it all in. The gas tank is translucent. If you take the seat off you can see the tank and see how much gas is in it.
Okay, thanks. That’s about what I have currently. So maybe a little better after the first service
The ski had around 13 hours on it. I did have a big tail wind to my back for a long duration of the ride. I also didn't use the "Fuel used" on my dash, I filled the ski up before launching then again after the ride. The dash stated I used 10.1 Gallons but I was only able to put 9.3 Gallons in my ski after the ride.
That was a good MPG test. Glad to see you’re getting 5+ MPG. How many hours on the Waverunner at the time of testing? Billy D
13hours
I’m picking up a VX HO soon, which has a hull material cross bar above the engine. Do you know if that comes out or will always be in the way when working on the engine?
It’s very simple to take the cover off of the vx. Just remove 7 6mm Allen screw. If you want to see how to take the cover off go look at my oil change video on the GP1800R it will be the same process
So Jealous, never gets old. Man That beautiful weather & water!
Thanks, just bought one from your link
Appreciate you watching the video, enjoy the anchor!
Nice looking engine bay
Awesome trip.. I’ve been thinking about making the trip from Navarre to crab island on my gp1800r myself soon. what kind fuel range did you have to play around once you got there? I know it’s less than 30 mi from Woodlawn ramp but I know these machines can down some fuel if you stay in it too..
As long as you’re not pinning it the entire time you should be fine. Destin also has a couple places to get fuel
Nice
Me too!
Have you or do you plan on putting the oversized oil pan on? Been hearing of issues. I plan on getting two fxho to build for on/offshore fishing and playing. Curious of how big of an issue this could be
I don’t plan on it, but I am curious to see how these engines hold up. I assume the non supercharged ski should be okay if left stock
@@Watercraftshack my debate is a new fxho or maybe used but “like new” fx svho from a couple years back
The 1.9l engine has the same god awful oil pan as 1.8l But now requires one less quart of oil… know how???? A longer dipstick….. add that to the oil pan design and it’ll cause tons of engine issues. Yamaha needs to do better
Agree I think they should increase oil capacity. Time will tell how good this engine will be
I'm pretty sure with a filter change, it requires like 4.5 quarts. When I went to the dealership to get the oil change kit, the 2024 FX 1900 is under the watercraft 4 category and I had to purchaser 1 extra qt separately
@@mhmetts3 interesting, keep me updated on how much oil you extract I’m curious to know. I wonder if the dealer input something wrong. Everything I’ve seen has been 3-3.5 quarts is all anyone can get out.
@Watercraftshack just looked at the yamaha website and it shows total oil capacity as 4.3l which is 4.5qt
@@mhmetts3 good info, keep me updated with how much you are able to get out. Thanks for the comment
I have a 2024 VX ho and in the manual only say to change oil not even filter should I change them anyway ?
In my opinion filters are very cheap and I like to change mine every oil change.
Hey man, we met at McCrae a few weeks back. Took your advice and picked up this rack. Its perfect! Thanks!
Awesome! So glad you’re enjoying it, thanks for watching ! See you on the water
Nice job, 6 MPG here we come 😉
Yea right lol I’ve been getting 4.7-5.0 mpg on a good day
