i worked for a delaer for years no customer should have to charge a battery or do anything for 10 hours but drive her easy. nice skii i have a 84 mph gp love it zero issues maptuner x a life changer
My '17 GP blew the head gasket at 30 hours. Turned out the head was warped. "Fixed" under warranty. Ski ran 1.5 mph slower thereafter. Sounds like your issues were small... but still very valid. Good luck with the 10 hour service. IMO better to do all the oil changes yourself. Easy too.
I'm in the same situation as you man. Put a deposit down in October last year and the sales guy tried steering me towards a Sea-Doo ....want the yamaha or my $$ back.
I Bought a new 2022 GP 1800 Noticed blue paint all over the trailer looked under the ski found the paint coming off everywhere chunks around the pump There was always water in the hull We took pictures send them to Yamaha never heard a word back took it to the dealer why they were repainting the bottom with car paint Only had 25 hours on it traded it for a new Kawasaki nobody told me they were painted with car paint and not gel coat good luck I’ll never buy another Yamaha again The Kawasaki is fiberglass and gelcoat at least I got what I paid for
That's a bummer. At least you caught it and you are getting a 10hr service for free. Are you in the north Florida area? Kind of looks like the Palm Coast/Flagler Beach area.

@Watercraft Shack thanks. Hopefully you have it back and running good. I put a deposit on the exact same machine back in November. Dealer just informed me that they won't have it until mid July (best case scenario). Ridiculous. Got my $$ back.
I wasn’t going to bring it back but the service manager wanted me to bring it back to the dealership so they could double check and make sure nothing else was installed improperly

I’m almost at the 10 hour mark and have really enjoyed the ski so far. I understand mistakes happen and glad they resolved the issues I had.

Keep up the content of the new ski. I’m impatiently waiting for mine to come, exactly the same as yours.
Just finished the break in. It’s a lot of fun so far. I like it much better then my 2019 VXR I had.

Yea I’ve had 3 painted Yamahas and never had an issue but I’ve heard many story’s like yours. Hopefully Yamaha will go back to gel coat

Open all the hatches and doors, check for scratches or dings in paint, get under the ski and look around also.

$20k smh cheaper and cheaper quality, planned obsolescence like with everything.
Got mine for $16,900 OTD but that’s still crazy price in my opinion
