Step by step guide on how to change oil on 1.8l Yamaha waverunner GP1800R & VX HO Tools Used -6mm Allen Wrench -Oil Filter Wrench -Oil Extractor -Absorbing pads -Funnel
Something I did to make a bit more space in around the filter, I took off the plate that you mount the Factory air filter. Just makes life that little bit easier ✌️
Great idea I’ll work on description ! Here is the link to some oil dry pads www.amazon.com/dp/B09X24M4B8?ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apin_dp_QP15JZ8AJTSRB2PS443G&starsLeft=1
@Watercraftshack I just removed the big box air filter in my 2024 Yamaha Waverunner. I like the extra room but I think with all engines you need front of engine air filter vacuum resistance according to this article posted below. So at the very least I might leave the long tube and attach a worx filter to that for a little more front of engine resistance to built a better vacuum. Additionally, most engines employ an air box which is an air chamber designed to reduce the velocity of air . The air box often also holds the engine air filter because the reduced velocity allows for lower face velocity at the filter leading to lower air pressure drop (so lower suction load on the engine) and better filtration. The air box is arranged so that the air is sucked upward through the filter with a plenum space below. Air entering the plenum loses energy and this allows any entrapped water and road debris that were taken in at the suction vent to fall out of the air stream as well.
Thanks for videos ,I spend hrs looking for video on how to take out the access cover and can’t find one,now I got it 😊👍gp1800r 💪🏼🤷🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Great idea
Good idea on the oil dry pads. I might have to order some. I usually use old rags.
I have a old VW bus that leaks oil all over the place so it’s a must for me
Hey great video. I’m not the most mechanically inclined person but this makes it easy.
Don't put the seat edges on the concrete. Put them flat on the grass.
Could you post links to the oil pads? Maybe edit the description to include the tools you used?

What kind of air filter is that? This is the second time seeing some kind of bag over the air filter.
@@traceelliot1360 this is the worx racing air filter
