Id disagree with cali. Its expensive, a lot of people, good bike routes if you commute to them or are super rich. Pollution and wildfires are becoming more of a problem. There is a reason people are leaving and moving to colorado

It’s definitely a challenge to find roads where cars are few and far between. I live near the Ironman Maryland course and it’s a town that welcome cyclists. But, we do have to always pay attention while road riding. I find training with a group helps 😊
@@courtneysmithtriathlon I was sure, everywhere, everyone wanted to kill you :D I have some friends who live in Texas, and they told me how they stay on zwift all year around. Guess Texas is another level on the "Freedom" Scale
I'm in Las Vegas. In theory it's not bad for being a triathlete. Just gotta be extra careful with biking on the roads out here. Oh and there's the heat too. St George, just up the road is somehow underrated even in triathlon circles. I'd take STG over San Diego tbh. Colorado is probably the best though, all things considered.
Love Vegas! It’s a “dry heat” - I laugh bc I lived in AZ for 10 years and people always say that to me 😆 Interesting you bring up St. G! I have not been (yet) but I want to train there. It seems to be a great spot from what I hear. And yes, it’s hard to beat beautiful Colorado!

You're so right about getting there early. Especially because roads around the around the race venue are probably closed for the race already, traffic is redirected, and whatever mapping device you're using probably doesn't know about it. I nearly missed my last 70.3 because my wife's boyfriend kept hitting dead end after dead end!
Oh gosh yes! The roads are always closed and often you have to walk a good distance to check in. I’m glad you didn’t miss your 70.3, but I am sorry it was stressful. I have been in that situation too and it’s not fun!
I hope you and your wife’s boyfriend didn’t fall out over it!

I miss the old Lululemon pleated running skirts so I’m always on the hunt for new ones! I was at @target last night buying magnesium gummies and I saw this skirt. $24?! Don’t mind if I do! Today I tested it out on a 2 mile outside walk, followed by a treadmill run and short weights session. 🏃♀️ I have no idea how this skirt will hold up after multiple washes (I’ll keep you updated). But I love the feel and lightweight fabric. So far, 2 thumbs up. I plan on ordering it in other colors. Hey young lady. My wife did this. She s a runner. She had removal of both many years ago. Twelve in fact. She now runs marathons and….ultra marathons. You will make it. I’m sure of it. Blessings

I wasn’t sure if I would post a video that included me crying. But then I thought “Courtney you are going through something HARD and it’s okay to be emotional.” I know many women go through this every day. To any of you going through hard stuff, just keep moving forward, even if it’s just one step. As the song goes “get up get up get a move on.” 💪😊🙏 I’m feeling all the things these days. And I’m okay with that. I know I’ll be okay but I’m not thrilled about having surgery. I have not cried much, but today after managing to make it to the treadmill for the first time since the diagnosis, there were a lot of tears. And then, after a minute I was fine. I found my rhythm, and just focused on one minute at a time. So here’s to the little things. To giving it up to God. To doing my best, even when I’m frustrated or overwhelmed. And to keep a sense of humor through the tough times. I mean, I will finally have smaller boobs! 😆 And here’s to running. My longtime friend and meditation, running. We got this.
