That's not Lu Dort, that's Pull Dort. Anyway, great job from Coach on standing his ground about the call being an offensive one and looking for ways to proof it objectively. I didn't know about the specificity of the rules and calling in a ref to help break it down really makes it clear what is happening. Not to mention showing us what it takes to have the right mindset of the playoff refs to get the right call.

His Initiating the contact, he's looking to run into the defensive player. I don't care what you say about his footwork. He's intentionally running into the defender You can see it in every clip you showed. He's looking for where the defender is, so he can time. His jump to initiate contact has nothing to do with his footwork. It's part of his game and when you're watching this live. He overreacts when he doesn't get the contact These are not natural basketball moves. It's part of his game. It's just like Luca

I understand what Mr. Clark is saying. And I think I agree with his explanation, mostly. I firmly believe Luka was going to run through Dort regardless. I don’t think he was going to go any other direction other than straight through Dort. BUT Dort didn’t get the call because of his contact beforehand. As frustrating as it is to not get the offensive foul call, I can understand why the refs made the call they did.

The Dort foul argument can only be explained by fanbase-induced blindness. The dude is impeding, flopping and grabbing. Period. my problem with brunson is that he is guardable he has terrible shooting splits and takes bloackable shots. no way an injured embiid is keeping up with his spring. he gets calls that embiid and others arent getting anymore in the playoffs. they have to play through waaaaaay more contact that all the other knicks players get away with. but cant let brunson head butt anybody or else its a foul. embiid doesnt intentionally hurt others that arent trying to jump on top of him

Refs are humans and cannot see every darn call. Luka complains to the refs which pisses them off. So he misses calls for him because they don't want anyone telling them how to do their job. Refs have power respect them.
