Not yet…they haven’t gotten past the nuggets yet. If they do then yes it has paid off because they will then likely make the finals but if Denver wins this series then it hasn’t paid off yet.

The Rudy short roll pass thing definitely feels like a morale "keep Rudy happy so he keeps doing the dirty work" kind of thing. Its telling that the guy who does it most is Conley, his old Utah PG and someone who has said before he tries to keep his bigs (Randolph and Gasol) involved so they feel appreciated.

They’re letting Gobert play hella rough on jokic. If they call any fouls it’s gonna change because jokic hits his ft’s. Also naz Reid won that game for them he had 14 in the 4th banking in 3’s.

that crap tech on Ant that caused a nationwide outrage so big the League rescinded it might be the thing that starts Ant getting his superstar whistle. Ant starts averaging 10+ trips to the line and he's almost unstoppable.
@@jofieji5312 Until the end the Nuggets had a 20 to 8 FT advantage. Ant had 25 shots and 43 points and ONLY 6 FTs... Jokic was elblowing and pushing all game, and Rudy/KAT/NAZ had a COMBINED 3 less FTs attempts then Jokic... wanna keep on saying fould were even close to being called evenly?
And had TWO FTs before the final 2:54. Tell me again how its only gonna change for Jokic if things are called evenly.

The two game winners Murray hit against the Lakers has largely overshadowed how generally poor he has been. Series is over if Murray can't step up and get 25 a night.
Definitely not happening against Edwards who is a far superior defender than d lo is and he scored around 20ppg in that series.

I think the winner is such a tossup that its our fandom that makes me lean wolves. But if Nuggs win the series they're gonna have to come back down 2-1 minimum. Gonna be great to watch. they actually want Gobert on Gordon not because he does a poor job on Jokic, but because Gordon is a non shooter so Gobert can roam off him to deter rim attempts and/or help in the paint without being penalized by a good shooter

Ant reminds me more of Jordan even more than Kobe. Ant had almost a "quiet" 43. Very fluid, in rythem and in the flow of the game. He just surgically picked apart Denver within the flow of the offense. No forced shots, no wild off balance plays. Only a few plays he turn it up a notch and cooked.
This is awesome. Because I loved that Denver team last year, very exciting, a brilliant and likeable star ready to go ahead and take it to the next level playing beautiful team basketball.
And now we have another one! Sometimes I love not being born in a city with a team so I can enjoy all of this without the stress!

this is the first team I have seen in a long time that plays basketball like a team sport (on both ends of the floor), reminds me of the spurs with Duncan, Manu, and Parker. Like Jokic said in his post game interview - if you are a fan of basketball this was a great game to watch.

one of the Nuggets’s strengths is their front court size. It seems completely nullified in this series against Min and there is not a single matchup to exploit. The nuggets also have no one to guard ANT. The closest is AG, but there’s no rim protection to back AG up either.

Shai is a great player. The thing I think people are responding to is the so-called "assassin's" demeanor that Jordan had and I think Kobe adopted to his play from Jordan. They see this in Edwards. But you can have a quiet demeanor or a fun demeanor and still be a winner as well. Duncan had a quiet demeanor and Magic Johnson a fun one. Edwards is very athletic. But I say to all those who hype over strong dunks that it is just 2 points. However they are scored, whether a dunk or a floater, it's 2 points. Edwards is a strong player. So is Brunson. So is Shai. A lot of good defense is team defense even though active one-on-one defense can be impressive. I think we see how they all develop over the years and maybe we'll have great players with different styles.
A hobbled Chris Finch affects the Wolves less than a hobbled Murray affects Denver.
