That little retaining wedge can cost you an axle. Replace the wedge with a Chevrolet indexed heavy duty substitute. The Dana 80 and Spicer assembly doesn't know the difference.

I am a retired low mileage 2009 D-2500 Cummins owner ... typically I drive about 1200 miles per year towing my buddies 14" aluminum skiff to go fishing .. about 120 miles round per trip. I do pull out that dip stick before we go and always wonder, when should I change that oil & filter? Mileage isn't the issue .

Bummer!!!! I saw this video 2 days too late!!!! I purchased replacement fobs ($25/pair) but I paid a locksmith $30 to program them (actually a bargain compared to what the dealer wanted) when all I needed to do was swap the covers. Oh well I know better for next time, the fobs only last about five years.

I took my 2018 JGC with the 3.6 v6 to my mechanic after I noticed the engine running rough, the check engine light was on, and it was using coolant at an alarming rate. He said I had a blown head gasket and that coolant had gotten into the motor and warped the heads. I put 4K into the repair. Less than a month later, the Jeep is back in his shop with the same issue. He filled up the overflow with fresh fluid and swapped out the plug with another cylinder and the point with another cylinder to see if one of those items would cause a misfire in one of the other cylinders. It did not. I didn't drive it long enough to get it to overheat, but I knew something was terribly wrong once I noticed it went through all the coolant in the overflow in less than 70 miles and saw the check engine light come on. He has had the Jeep for another week trying to find the issue. He says there is no coolant in the motor, or oil. So, that is still a mystery and he needs a few more days to test the wiring to make sure there is not a wiring issue causing the miss fire on cylinder 4. I am just about at my witts end with all of this. Any advice?

I tested my solenoid pack everything came up normal except for signal pins 11, 14, 15, 16, 18 which should have been 300 Ohms all came up as open lines. This is a pretty strong signal that my solenoid pack is bad however my concern is those pins going bad may have been caused by a problem elsewhere in the system. I'm interested what may have caused to problem and rectifying it before plugging in a good solenoid pack and having it suffer the same fate

When you use the tools to decompress the chain tensioner on left side is it common that you don't have to use the pick tool again? I was able to just slide the wedge between guide and end of cam shaft and the tensioner went back in with out using the pick n pull tool in the little hole. I understand it's like a hydraulic tensioner so I'm hoping that when I'm able to start engine the oil will pressurize the tensioner back to normal?? I hope this makes sense the way I described it and that I'm all set. Thank you

What happens if you just remove the disc completely? I am having issues with both of my fobs where the doors will automatically lock and the engine will cut on after I get out and lock the doors. I haven't been able use the buttons for some time now and have just been opening the door with the handle when the car detects the fob. So my question is if I just they disc off will the car still detect the fob and start without having all the issues caused by the disc touring the circuit board by moving around?
