@joseph7105 you dont need to run it dry. Either tip the water out the hopper or prime it out. As soon as you see it gone in the hopper add the paint. Then prime it for like 5 seconds to cycle the water out and make sure thetes not air in there. The. Flick into spray and blow the water out the hose until you see paint and youre ready to go

@jasonhoward7819 id be looking at a different set up. Maybe hvlp. Theres no control with this pump. Its just on at max power which isnt the most powerful unit anyway.

@jasonhoward7819 for the money i wouldn't get one. Both 1600psi max pressure. Id be looking for a second hand graco gxff if youre wanting airless. New pumps around 100quid so easy to fix. 3000psi power so alot more control and power to play with. Just my opinion though.

@@sprayaholic I'm used to using pressure pots where I work I've taken a job on at someone's property so I thought airless would be the best way to go about it

@jasonhoward7819 have you used airless before? Its a big difference from compressor set up as its just pull the trigger and go, unlink the hvlp side where you can squeeze the trigger or dial the fan in. The airless just shoots at what ever pressure youre on. The 250 or 350 may work ok for you with some smaller tips depends how wide you want the fan.

@goldar4846 thanks for watching. Yes i try to keep to the point as i hate the waffling some people do. How often are yoy going to be using it and what will you mainly be spraying?

@JdubbJdubb if you have good technique, not alot. But it does fall as dust. As these were wood floors if you stood in it youd be treading it everywhere.

I havnt used that paint yet. Scared to sway away from anti reflex

If i remember when you unscrew it. The ball falls out then the spring behind it and the plastic cage behind that. Take a look at the manual for a blown up diagram if you get stuck

@sprayaholic thanks for your reply mate. I've managed to sort it. The spring fits on small metal prong, then the bearing rests up against that. Without the spring in position I was getting leaks from the pump whilst priming. The spring stops it.

honestly is some of the worst ive ever come across. Like you it took us ages to flatten it off as half of it burnt to the mdf so needed a good prime again. Added a couple days onto the job which was covered. But you shouldnt need to work that hard on it ha

As i said in the wagner video. Its less power and also its just on. No adjustment. Youd be better with the Erbauer and some graco fflp tips if you also buy the blue graco rac x guard. If youre on the low end its probably a better option of whats out there

Add a few drops of dish soap to the wash water after the paint in the hose has been removed. Pump saver will protect the gun, filters and hose also by preventing any residue from hardening on the surfaces, I wasted countless hours in repairs and downtime before I learned better.

Hey. I would say. Go over to the 3m pps system instead. But if i remember, youd have to buy either the new blue section i got in this video. Or the thread which screws into your current blue section. Id say its alot better option than going back to a solid cup and also getting rid of the crap twist cap now.. If you ring spray direct. They well a kit and will include the adaptor that you screw into the gun

Thanks for the reply Iv only had the gun a month but when i got some new flexi cup liners today to go inside the plastic pot and the lid doesn’t fit in correctly with the liners and bends the liner therefore causing a leak. Very poor design.

Also does the 3m pps cups fit to a edge 2 plus graco gun

Glad you found the video helpful. I used it on ceilings fine, and with extensions. But like i said in the vid it may slow the pace down with long extensions but you just move slower to accommodate it. Ive got a few videos of me spraying ceilings with different units on the channel

Yes i thinned maybe 20% on the first coat as it sucked right in. Also rep adviced first coat thinned if its open grain or new. Secone coat thinned it 10% to easy flow. Sprayed a dream, but id advice to filtering the paint first. I used a 210 as it was windy that day so kept the overspray to a minimum. But you can use most tips anything from a 210 to 515 and higher. Obviously depends how wide you want the fan and then how much paint you want flying out. . Depends on surroundings etc.

appreciate the support. I mainly use sandtex trade from crown. Thin it about 30% if its un painted. and about 10 to 15 for top coat. i would spray the first coat and will help stick some loose pebbles to the wall. The second coat spray and drop a roller over the area as it pushed the paint into all the small holes. sprayers used as a speed of application. you could probably just spray it, but you use a lot of paint compared to spray a section and drop a roller over it in my opinion
