Like the video, attempting to respray a car and in the look for a turbine system was looking at the Fuji q4 platinum series a bit pricey but would rather buy a decent spec one, do you have any other recommendations or advice? 😁
Q4 is the quiet one. And also a q4 is only 4 stage. Id always try and get a 5 stage unit. Its got abit more power. For the price though, you could buy a decent compressor set up and do it that way. Qtech q5 is a good price turbine wise
hello, I would like to ask you something...I am between the graco 9.5 and the q5, which one would you recommend for a better finish and for continuous work, i.e. work 5 6 hours continuously???
Is it fuji q5? Both put out the same power, you get 3 needle sets with the graco. So see what the prices are like. Both brilliant units. Youd get the same finish from both machines
It's strange how they all sound so different but are in the same range. I'm literally at the stage of having the Qtech 5 in my basket ready to purchase before your video came up. Have you used any of the 3M PPS 2.0 cup system on any of these hvlps Simon? I was looking at them today.
That qtech is a great buy. And to me in person was the lowest hum. I read that when comparing Db ratings if something is 60db and another is 70db . The 70db is 10 time louder than the 60. So even just a couple of figures is a jump in noise. Also the qtech and fuji are the same. Same guns needles etc. And you can buy the pps system for the qtech its great. Where you looking to buy?
@@sprayaholic I found the cheapest price on a site called tradec supplies with the remote pot included(forgot to mention that was included). I rang up Dulux and they've priced matched it near me so I'm going to get it from there. In case of any issues etc. Would you buy the Qtech 5 or the Graco if you could buy one only?
@@sprayaholic yes I was going to see if they did a deal on the 1.8 set being as I'm buying the full set up. Is the 1.8 needed for using zinseer Allcoat neat? For spraying doors, windows etc
Qtech have the license so have branded a version. Its like a fuji mini mite 5 but as quiet as a Q5 fuji. Great machine. The guns are the same as the T series but re branded again.
The pro comp is the one with the pressure pot and built in compressor. Its alot of money compared to the q5 with pressure pot. Both will give you the same finish as its down to paint consistency and tip size. You get more included with the graco but there are some good deals on the qtech. Id probably go qtech regarding budget
I never use the turbine in the room I’m spraying. It’s too noisy ( they all are) . Also the suction is so strong, any spray mist/ dust is going through your filters. The hose is so long you can put it outside the house or another room to annoy someone else and use a remote plug socket and save a load more money on the start/stop feature on the overpriced Graco. Buy a 5 stage turbine……avoid Apollo. I’ve been using Turbines since 1983
The concern over loudness is only important if you won’t be using hear protection. I always use it so I am not swayed either way
