Simon, what's the blue platsic you use in this video to mask te walls? Do you also have to mask the floors while spraying the ceiling? And what do you do when you have to spary a furnitured room??
The polythene is indasa tape and drape. It drops to 1800mm. I aways protect anything in the room. Sometimes its not faster to spray sp each job varies. Depends how many coats etc
@markshelton1211 this video is an older one. I judge it by how it looks. If it feels thin enough i leave it. But it doesnt hurt to start with 5% and see how it goes.
@markshelton1211 also you can use a .15. Or .16 if you had it. Bigger tip easier it is to come out. A little thinning eases it through and could lower the pressure aswel
What’s the script there Simon ? Thinned prime coat of anti reflex. I put optiva primer on first. Then anti reflex on new plaster. Anti reflex ok as the prime coat ? Take care mate, stay safe 🥃
hey bud. Yeee i thinned it down... water to the rim of the tub probably 1.5L i recon it is. Its an off white they are having. finish coated them today, sanded well too. Ive heard a few use it as a mist coat before they put the top coats on. Ive used the primer under the optiva 3 and 5.
@@stevenmcfarlane8831 its our main ceiling paint. We've got alot of lime wash on this job. So trying to spray as much as we can prior to finishing walls by brush
@@sprayaholic hello mate, does the optiva primer need diluting for a mist coat? Also is it the same tape and drape you use on hard floors, what do you use on carpet? Cheers
Love anti reflex
Nice job, not used that paint before. I'll have a look into it
Its really nice and flat

How do you stop the spitting using an extension?
You need a cleanshot valve
Great vid 👍🏼 not used this paint myself either.. Where do you buy from? Direct from their site?
Holman Specialist Paints Ltd sell it .
Thanks for watching. I either go direct or we have a supplier near me that stocks it.
Did this have another coat ??
Yes, forgot to say it was a mistcoat. It does dry back patchy on that first coat
Hi -did you thin it at all (topcoat) ? TIA
Hey, i generally thin the top coats by about 10%
@@sprayaholic cheers - on the data sheet it says it doesn’t need thinning (just to use 17-21 thou tip)?? 🤷🏼🤔
